HEllo! Busy weekend! We went up and handed over the title to Tom's truck so the junker could take it yesterday morning. Cleaned it out good...I did not feel very nostalgic about it, I always hated that car! Afterwards we stopped at this famous biscuit place, but I got their oatmeal bowl. I did splurge and eat hash brown potato cakes. I blotted them over and over to try and get rid of the grease. It was a good reminder...I felt blah all day from it.

My daughter had a party to celebrate buying a house yesterday, so we went. It was nice. She did not have anything I could eat, so I made a few skewers of just vegetables, and grilled them and ate that. It was tasty. Not very filling though.
I got to play with my grandson. He is such a sweet kid. He was singing silly words to Old McDonald with his grandpa, and it made me laugh out loud! They sang about trucks, tails and pants. Not sure how that came about, but they were amused.

TONI: Yes, I still have my etsy shop, though I have not listed anything new lately. I need to! I have a few things I need to photograph. Congrats on that three pound loss!

Ok, off to make some coffee! Have a great day everyone!

Nice Sunday here. DH woke me up at 6 this morning to go out to breakfast. Was awfully early but so sweet of him. We're grilling steak and shrimp for dinner. Other than that its been a nice day. Tomorrow is my eye surgeon's appointment.

Ellen- I hope you get another car soon. Sounds like you had a wonderful time with your grandson. I had eggs and hash browns this morning.

Be back Tuesday......

Good morning ladies,

We had a great time at the lake. It was fun meeting up with old friends and talking. It was hot, but most of the time we were either in the lake or riding in the boat.

Toni, hope your eye appt goes well today. Good job on your eating. One slip isn't going to hurt you. I go back to my dr on Wed and I haven't lost anything. She will not be pleased.

Ellen, I guess you will have to start taking your own food with you when you go places so you can eat something. Your DD should know how you eat and have something for you. I love the Old McDonald's song your GS was signing. My girls make fun of me when I sing it when I make the animal sounds. At least you got to spend some time together. I'm happy they got a house.

We leave Friday for Florida and all the oil. Oh well. I am so excited about going and spending time with the baby. Now he has croup and a viral infection. Poor guy, he ran a fever of 105. I guess it is better this weekend then next.

Trying to get caught up here at work and at home. I have packed almost everything I can so far but we have somethign to do every night this week.

Have a great day.

Toni, I hate to hear you will have to have surgery, but then again, a solution is better than the problem. Sending prayers your way. Looks like it is me and you here. Don't worry, I am going to enjoy every second of my vacation. It has been so stressful with all the new health problems, doctors, etc. I am looking forward to not thinking about anything.

Everyone else,

Well I stayed the same this week but I'll take it. I slept like a log last night. This seems like Friday to me for some reason. LOL Oh my gosh I weighed on the wrong day. Guess I'm goofy today.

Solly- Yes you've had such a hard time with your health you sure do deserve a break. I hope you have such a relaxing time. Its going to be so lonely here with out you...

Happy Thursday. Its been a bit cooler here this week and so nice. Wish it could stay in the 80's. Made turkey burgers last night and they came off so good and tender. I'll be making them again. Tonight we go to friends house to eat. Hopefully they have some healthy stuff. Had my DH make some ham and cream cheese roll ups to take. Is anyone lurking. Come on join the board...

Hey Toni, look at you being prepared and having something healthy to eat when you go out. Good job and it's great to stay the same. I was way up. I'm sure vacation will be lots of unhealthy eating too.

I hate that we are all alone here. I hope someone joins you next week.

I will be off tomorrow as we are leaving around noon. So I will be back on the 12th. I will miss you guys.

Hello! We have our grandson for the day, he came last night and spent the night. We were going to go to the river and have a picnic breakfast but it is raining! The weather report never mentioned a chance of rain!

I hope everyone has a great weekend! I am having everyone over on Sunday for a cookout and to swim for the fourth. Tom is off today and Monday, so it should be fun. Unfortunately there is something wrong with our very old cat and Tom is beside himself with worry. May have to make a trip to the vet.

SOLLY: have a great trip!

TONI: I am sorry you have to have that eye surgery. I hope and pray it goes well. Thank God for modern medicine! (sometimes! )

Good morning. Went to dinner last night and I blew it big time. But I'm going to let that go and start fresh today. The woman that used to clean my house was there and she noticed I've lost weight. It made me feel so good. Had such a nice time. We're going to be watering their garden when they're gone for two weeks on vacation so we'll be getting lots of goodies out of it I'm hopeing.

Ellen- How fun to have the Grandson. I would love to have mine little again. I miss that. We're going to put chicken on the rotissare Sunday and have also have a fire in the evening in our fire pit.

Had a really nice fourth of July week end. We stayed home and grilled and sat out on the porch. Watched movies and just really enjoyed ourselves. Hope you all had a good one. Time to get back to the regular routine of life now. LOL....

Yesterday was totally chaotic around here. My two daughters came with their husband, child and dog. So, two kids, two dogs and lots of adults. Then one of them invited two friends over to watch them shoot off fireworks in our cul de sac. My one daughter's inlaws came too. One of the dogs chased my poor cat across the yard when it got here and I have not seen the cat since. I am very worried about him. He is very skittish and I am sure he was frightened to death of all the noises with the fireworks last night. I like dogs, but I think its unfair of them to bring their dogs to my house when I have two cats. I will probably feel better about it all if and when my cat comes home. He usually comes if I call him, but not today.

We grilled tuna and beef kabobs and had roasted corn on the cob and salads yesterday. The food was good, and I even ate a little tuna. Tom went off with our son in law and his step dad to the shooting range. We have a small group meeting from church tonight, but I think he forgot and I have no way to get in touch with him. Oh well! Our son in law is loaning us a car he has that is an extra which will help tremendously until we find a car to replace the one that died.

I may go take a dip in the pool in a few minutes. I went to the cool market I love with our son in law's mom and had lunch and did a little shopping. It was fun. She is where he got his love of cooking. (her son is the chef son in law!) We had a good time chatting about the odd ingredients they carry. She was very good about only getting what she needed. She laughs that she is very frugal. It sounds better than cheap! She is a good person for me to hang around with. Maybe I will pick up some pointers on saving money!

Ok, off to take that dip in the pool....

Got on here late today. I put up some more corn today. Wish I could get ahold of some green beans now would love to can them. Its such a shame we don't have a Farmers Market near by. I don't have a garden so depentant on the grocery stores. Did find some fresh green beans and new potatoes for over the week end. Tonight we're having some beans I had made and put in the freezer. Also I've got a fresh tomato that is ripe on the vine. I have a couple of tomatoes in pots on the back porch.

Ellen- I'm so happy you got your run away kitty back. Sounds like you had a wild fourth. I would be unhappy with the dogs. We try to hard to leave our little dog at home. I've never had grilled tuna and would love to try it.

Happy Day everyone....
