I will give it another week and see what happens. I think I need to be a bit more vigilant to the low fat idea. Other than that, I don't think I am doing any bad eating. Or even too much. My appetite is just not as voracious as it used to be. Most of my cravings are gone too.I have the glaze kiln cracked and will go down in about an hour and unload it. I peeked inside, and the top shelf looks ok. Its hard to tell until you pull the stuff out and handle it and see the bottoms.
SOLLY: Why don't you try a vegan diet?
You can eat gluten so it would be easy. Its really not that hard! And you can fix a pot full of a dish and have leftovers for another meal. Seriously...a salad with garbanzo beans, or chili, or hummus..or wrap the mashed beans in a tortilla, topped with lettuce, tomatoes, etc. .... I did Atkins, and honestly, I think it screwed up my metabolism. Research is showing that intracellular fat causes insulin resistance, which leads to diabetes, so be careful of the fats. Anyway, don't hesitate to go for the sleep study. Its a pain for one night...and if you are not sleeping well, and you use a cpap, the difference is amazing. I was waking up four and five times a night and going potty. Come to find out, that is not normal!!! Now I might wake up briefly at 4, but I go right back to sleep. I am slowly feeling more energetic, and rested. I am just worried I waited too long to go for the study. Tom nagged me for years, and if your oxygen levels drop too much at night, brain cells can die. Supposedly the first to go are those that control blood pressure from the spikes the apneas cause. Not sure if the ones I lost will ever be replaced. My O2 levels were very very low at night...like 70's instead of high 90's. My blood pressure has improved a little, but not as significantly as I had hoped. TONI: You are sweet to say I should write a cookbook. As far as I know, there is only one vegan gluten free one out..so maybe there is a need.
MERCEE: What an inspiration you are! I love your attitude about just keeping on and results will follow! I think that is key to be successful. In the past, I would get discouraged, and then fall off the wagon for a few days, then try and get back on track. I need to get back to walking on the days I am not swimming. Once we get the pool opened, I will be able to swim every day.
COUNTRY: Good for you shooting! I need to. It would be good for my upper body muscles...especially my shoulders and back. Guess I will go looking for my stuff as soon as I get passed the next week and all the stuff I have to do! I have an order for cookies on sticks!

I'm up a couple of pounds but I'll get back on track after this weekend.
