Good morning all. Went grocery shopping yesterday evening. We got caught in a big thunderstorm. But got home and unloaded our stuff. Sure was tired last night. I had an Amy's frozen burrito for breakfast. Didn't feel like oatmeal or eggs this morning.

Solly- I hope you're getting rested up. Maybe your body is trying to tell you something.

Crystle-Hows your garden going?

Mercee-Congradulations on the dress. All that walking is paying off.

Ellen- Hope you're having a good day.

Hello everyone! I just got back from the medical equipment place. I have a loaner auto titrating cpap machine for four weeks to see if the pressure I am on is correct. I hope this helps resolve some issues for me. The doctor told me to sleep on my back as much as I can...so we shall see.

After I get off here, since I just finished my lunch of sauteed eggplant and onions, I need to go work in the garagio. I have a few items drying and I need to throw a few more so the kiln is full when I fire it early next week. I have a wedding to go to in early July and need some wedding gifts too.

I could not fall asleep last night, so I may need a nap today! 3:30 to 9 is just not enough sleep for me anymore!

MERCEE: Oh, that is so awesome about your dress size! Isn't it motivating to see results? I may go out and walk today myself...its a beautiful 76 here....walking seems more appealing then getting in the cold pool! LOL

TONI: Don't you just love have the fridge and freezer well stocked with good stuff to eat? I do! I need to decide what to fix for Tom's dinner tonight. I have my oil painting class, and I leave before he gets home from work. I usually end up eating something really light..which works well for weighing in in the the morning!

SOLLY: Your exhaustion worries me. I hope you don't mind my being a mother hen and giving you ideas...several come to mind! One of course, is sleep problems. I feel SO much better, I feel like a poster child for cpap therapy. It really is not so bad, if you will allow yourself to get used it. When have you had your thyroid levels checked? Don't let your doctor tell you it is 'ok' if you TSH is over 3. Even borderline levels can be treated with really good results. At our age, the thyroid just starts to decline anyway...so its not unusual to need a bit of the thyroid hormone to help you feel better. Optimum levels improve sleep, joint aches and pains, and over all well being.

COUNTRY: Thanks for sharing your corn salad recipe! I made a bean and corn salad last week that turned out pretty good, but I just made it up as I went along, and it seemed out of balance. I will mix up your recipe and maybe add some beans to see how it goes! I tend to eat the bean salads as my main course. It sure can be weird not eating meat!

Good afternoon ladies,

I have been bad. I am hooked on bedazzel on FB. I think I played for 2 hours today.

I have some crap in my head. At first I thought it was just allergies, and I started taking some allergy medicine and it curtailed the cough, but my nose is running like a faucet and I feel overall crappy. I hope I'm not getting that stuff I had last winter back.

Ellen, I don't mind you being a mother hen. I appreciate all the help I can get. I go for the consult on sleep apnea on the 3rd. We will see then what comes of it. If I am going to do it, now is the time since I have met my deductible. I just can't help thinking that half the world (including my DH) snores a lot worse than me. She asked about my thyroid the last dr visit and I told her I had it checked several times and it was always ok. So she didn't. I may have her do it when I go back.

Ellen, I could use a few groceries myself. We are down to the last bit. Can't wait for the BL tonight.

Crystle, hope you are having a good day.

Mercee, hoping work has slowed down for you.

Got to run get something accomplished today.

Morning Buster Friends! Its Wednesday...do you know where you scale is?

Mine says I stayed the same this week. I will take it, as I was bad last night and ate too many organic corn chips on my way home from oil painting. I forgot to take my evening meds, and my morning blood sugar levels were much higher than they have been running.

Its chilly here this morning! I have my silk painting group this morning, then next week, we start 'open pool day' on Wednesdays.

I slept really well with my new machine last night. I was irritated though...I tried to look at the information on it, and it is not registering. Grrr. I have to call the RT at the health equipment place, and I hate doing that! Its such an opportunity for frustration.

I need to go work on cleaning the kitchen some. I was gone last night until late...and I have a bunch of ladies coming this morning!

Good luck on WIW, I hope you are all a bunch of losers this week!

Default Good morning

Daylight came way too early this morning. I've got to quit staying up so late if I'm gonna be up so early. I've joined another tip list so I'd have something to share. *smile* They are not just diet tips but health tips so I hope that is okay.

Today's Tip:
Gum disease may increase your risk of rheumatoid arthritis. Practice good dental hygiene by brushing and flossing twice daily.

Weight is actually up a pound today so I have do better this week. If I'm not gonna lose I want to make sure I don't gain.

Solly...I sure they are able to pend down your fatigue. Hoping you shake this cold before it gets a hold of you.

Ellen...I think the beans would be good in the salad. Especially some black beans. I like black beans but my guys don't. I'm not sure why as to me they are not that much different than pinto beans. Maybe it is the color.

Toni...congratulations on your weight loss. The garden is pitiful this year. I've really lack motivation and haven't done very much with it.

Mercee..hope you have a good weigh-in.

((Everybody))

Love and hugs,
Crystle

Congratulations Toni on your loss.

Ellen, congrats on staying the same.

Crystle, don't let that gain grow bigger. You can do this.

I was up a few pounds. But to be expected with all the graduation parties and eating out.Got to get control of myself.

Got to run, bidding jobs like crazy

Had a lot of folks over today! Two moms brought their kids to swim. They left just in time! About 30 minutes later, it started to rain. Its a great spring/summer thunder storm...I am enjoying the sounds of rain through the open window.

I spent at least an hour in the pool with the kids, so I fell like I got some exercise. I was bad though! One of my friends who came over is Puerto Rican, and she brought empanadas she had made. They were stuffed with guava or ground beef. I tried them both. Delicious! In fact, so much so, I ate several of each! Back on the straight and vegan narrow!

Just a quick drop in. Just finsihed a bid. Waiting on the results.
I am taking off tomorrow. So I will try to check in sometime over the weekend though. Going to get an epidural then my nails done and then hopefully hit a friends pool. I need the rest and relaxation. Of course, I am running myself ragged today trying to get things done so I can be off tomorrow.

Ellen, the pool time sounds wonderful. I hope I get to have some this weekend myself.

Crystle, Mercee & Toni, Hope you are having a great day.

Oh, I tried the new breakfast sandwich at subway today. Egg white on ww english muffin. It was pretty good and only 4 grams of fat. I got my breakfast and lunch for $5.00 at the same time. Pretty good.

Everyone have a great Memorial Day.

Default Good afternoon

So far so good today. Egg, pickles and turkey breast sandwich for breakfast and Greek yogurt with banana and agave for lunch. Still trying to get motivated to get my exercise in. Why am I so lazy when it comes to that? I also closed my spark account. I spent more time trying to get points than getting anything accomplished.

Today's diet tip is for our fellas:

Men who aren’t getting enough calcium up their risk of death. Meet your daily quota with milk, low-fat cheese, yogurt and fortified cereal

Solly...hope you have a super day off.

Ellen...the pool sounds wonderful. I wanted to get a yard pool this year but it didn't work out. Maybe next year.

Toni..hope you are having a good day. How is your patio garden doing?

Mercee...don't work too hard.

((Everybody))

Love and hugs,
Crystle

Hello ladies! I need to get in gear here and clean. My uber neat sister is coming to visit next Tuesday. My house is a disaster area!

I am apprehensive about weigh in Wednesday tomorrow. I feel like I am stuck right now. I just can't seem to get past this point...I think I ought to up my exercise, but I am just dragging some days.

Tom had to work yesterday. A friend of mine came over for lunch and to chat. She is getting ready to move to Birmingham. I have known her for over 20 years, and it will seem strange not to have her here anymore. They have to sell their house but his company will buy it if they can't sell, so it won't be long before they move.

Its been raining here for three days. It stops, the sun comes out, and you think of good! Then a few minutes later, there is another torrential downpour!

Hope everyone is doing well!
