Default Good evening

We got some much needed rain again today. The electric went out for a while so we all took a short nap. That was nice for a change. I didn't sleep but the down time was nice.

Jackie...WTG with your goals and eating right. You are so right about choices.

Ellen..did you finish all those chores?

Toni..welcome back. Hope the scales are kind to you.

Mercee...hope all is well.

Need to finish the kitchen....ugh. ((Everybody))

God bless,
Crystle

Happy Wednesday! Seen your scale yet today?

I did...down TWO pounds since last Wednesday. I am pretty excited! At this rate, I may make my goal in my siggie.

My sister comes in this afternoon. My house is looking MUCH better. Still needs some work, but it may not get done and that is ok. There are clean sheets on the guest bed, the vacuuming is done and all I have left that I really really need to get done is scrub the tub and swish the toilets. Right now, I am waiting for folks to arrive to swim. Wednesdays are open swim days here. I am going to have to throw on a suit and take a dip to cool off.

I hope you all are a bunch of losers this week!

Morning all. Well I've gained 5 lbs. in two weeks. I know some of it is water. I'm having a hard time with the water weight. But part of it is making poor choices on the trip. Had a nice fruit smoothie for breakfast.

Ellen- You are a wonderful example. Congradulations on the 2 lbs. that is great. Hope you have a good swim....

Crystle- Send some of that rain here. Hope you got some sleep.

Solly- Did you watch Jillian last night. I hope that lady keeps it up. She looked so good in the after pictures.

Hi ladies,

We had some bad storms here this morning and they are calling for rain all day.

Toni, don't worry about your gain, like you said, probably water. I just read celery is a natural diuretic as is lemons. I started watching Jillian but I needed to go to bed. I will finish it tonight. That lady's house was unbelievable.

Ellen, You are doing FABULOUS!. I am so proud of you. I think I will start coming to open swim wednesdays, watch for me. Enjoy your sister's visit.

Crystle, We had storms this morning. You must have sent them my way. Nothing better than a mid day nap.

Default Good afternoon

My scales are on strike. Every time I try to get on they turn themselves off. I know it can't be that bad. LOL Another day with some on and off rain. A real blessing after the last two months of almost no rain.

My great niece is still in icu. She was off the vent for two hours last night but got tired. So scary for such a little one.

Ellen..I am so happy for you. Those scales are really moving.

Toni...hang in there. One or two days of eating you will wee wee all those extra pounds away. Veggie days are real good for that. Asparagus, salad, sme fruit like watermelon and green tea.

Solly...I haven't watched Jillian yet either. I have it recorded. So far I don't care for it like I do biggest loser. But I am giving it another chance to see if this week is better than last.

Mercee...hope you are having a good week.

((Everybody))

Love and hugs,
Crystle

Hello, sorry I haven't been on here but it seemed like everyday I have to go go go. Think I'm done and can rest. Yesterday I found out I have a cataract
in my right eye and are sending me to a surgeon. It kind of bummed me out.
Anyway today is a rest day then we're grilling some baby back ribs for dinner. I also want to try those new black beans from Bush. The grilling ones.

Crystle- I'm so happy about your niece. Bless her heart. We got some rain today and I'm so glad.

Solly- Hope you're having a good day cleaning and cooking.

Ellen- Hope you're enjoying your sister.

Morning ladies. Getting ready for hot weather today. Its supposed to be 91.
Guess I'd better give my tomatoes an extra shot of water. We're going to grill a pork tenderloin for dinner.

Mercee- Welcome back. I wondered where you were.. Glad your conference went well.

Be back later.

Good afternoon ladies. I had to come back to work to rest up. It was a busy weekend, but a great one. The baptism went well and the rain did not show up, but it was hot.

I got some disturbing news Thursday night. My MRI results are pretty bad. He said he has not seen a back as bad as mine. I have another bulging disc in my neck and it is pressing on a nerve on my spine. The reason for the numbness in my hands and arms. I also have another bulging disc is my back. He said y mobility is on the decline. Not too much I can do for myself. He said a surgeon would not touch me with a 10' pole. I really donm't want to do back surgery anyway. I guess we will keep on with the epidurals until they no longer work. He said water exercising is good and walking on even roads. Of course, we just bought that treadmill and he said that probably would be too much pressure on my back since you hit with your heals first. what a bummer. Of well, nothing I can do other then go to this therapy that evalues your weakest muscle in your back and then strengthens them.

Mercee, glad you are back. We have missed you. Glad you had a nice conference.

Toni, sorry to hear about the cataract. I beleive the surgery is a breeze now. Let us know what the surgeon says.

Ellen, hope you are having a nice visit with your sister.

Crystle, I was hoping your niece was making better progress. Poor thing. I will keep her in my prayers. My scales are on strike too. I want to lose about 10 lbs before vacation in 3 weeks. I better quit eating all together.

Off to check out some of these big medical words in my reports. Have a great evening and try to stay cool.

Oh I almost forgot. We got our new car. A Nissan Murano. I really like it even though I haven't driven it much other than back and forth to my DD's.
Just glad to have all of that behind me.

Hello everyone! We had a wonderful time with my sister and brother in law. They left this morning for the drive back to Chicago. The house is very quiet, but we had a great visit!

On Friday, we drove up to the mountains and did some sightseeing. On the way home, when we got off the expressway, the car overheated and started steaming. Tom pulled off right away, and popped the hood. A young man came along from an auto repair shop we had just passed and gave us a ride back. They sent out a mechanic and they managed to get the car back to the shop for us. They were booked and unable to work on the car then, but today they called Tom to tell him the headgasket was blown. The car is not worth fixing for that price, so now poor Tom must find TWO new cars!

It is VERY hot here. I did not even go out and get in the pool.

SOLLY: That is terrible about your back! Praying you find something that will help. If water exercise is good, see if you can find a good indoor pool with classes. The water takes pressure off the spine, so I am sure it would be helpful.

Ok, I MUST go to bed! Good night!

Oh my gosh we got up at 4 this morning to get coffee and get out to grocery shop a couple hours away at a Super Wal Mart. We could then get back before it was really hot. By 9 we were home unloaded and asleep in our chairs. What a day......

Solly- I'm so sorry about your MRI. Thats horrible about your back. I hope this therapy helps. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Ellen- Sounds like a wonderful visit. Glad you had a good time. Sorry about the car. What bad luck you've had with your cars.....

Mercee-Glad you got a walk in....

Have a happy day everyone.

Hi ladies, pushing through the day. Boy is it hot, but I am not complaining, much better than rain or snow.

Had peanut button on toast for bf. Lunch was pasta salad with broccol and peppers in it with ff dressing on it. Yummy. Also had mixed fruit. Dinner is ww spaghetti and a salad. Last night I grilled a bunch of veggies with my chicken untilt he grill ran out of gas. They were good.

Toni, I'm not much of a fajita fan either. Guess it is the chicken. My tiny tomato plants have grown so much. My basil is going to town also. My oregano is coming along slowly.

Crystle, good tip. I have found many things that I like that I never ate before. Not near enough but some. It is nice you can plant for feed and food. What a money saver.

Mercee, Are you really going to be off until April 12th? Hope you peek in when you can.

Ellen, enjoy your painting group. Keep us posted on how the new plan is working for you. I could give up everything but fish I think. I am actually trying to each much more veggies and less meats. I jut won't ever had the wide variety you have.

Have to run. Have a great day.
