Was out of town all yesterday but we did end up getting a new riding lawn mower. Our yard looked like a hay field or something awful. DH has it looking good now. He loves a new toy. I'm just cleaning and stuff. Had an Amy's frozen lunch. It was so good. I stayed the same this week. I'm glad for that.

Ellen- You are doing so good. Wow another 1 1/2 lbs. A great big congradulations Keep up the good work.

Mercee- Glad to see you. It will be good when you're not so busy. Thats great you keep on walking.

Off to do some more work......

Default Good afternoon

Howdy ya'll. Finally home and having a chance to post again. The doctors have given mom some therapy both in office and at home that will hopefully hep her. I can't begin to list all the physical things she is battling ans has battled over the last 15 years. My heart aches for her and a part of me wants her to push even harder. A very weird place to be in when it is your moma. Eating has been so so. Nothing really on plan and nothing to crazy off plan either. My weight is staying around 188-190 depending on the day. After tomorrow's dentist visit I'm hoping to get back on track with my walking and quit making excuses. I really really need a treadmill.

Ellen..sorry to hear about your pool. We had nasty weather here the other day also. I'm so happy for you and your weight loss. You are doing SO good.

Mercee..hang in there. Hopefully you will have some you time soon.

Toni..thank you for your prayers. Your yard looked like a hayfield and mine is a hayfield..LOL At least that is what it was before they moved the house here about 11 years ago.

Solly...that really stinks about your credit cards. One of mine was stolen online. They fixed it but it was scary. I hope they continue to NOT use yours.

Guess I'd better do something besides sit here. I'm reading Carol Burnett's newest book and haven't had much time. It is a fast read so if I get on it I'll probably be done before this evening.

((Everybody))

Love and hugs,
Crystle

Good afternoon ladies,

I am still dragging. Bunco was over until 11:30 and tonight the girls are taking me to see "Wicked" so it will be midnight before I get to bed again. I think I am taking off Friday to catch up on sleep.

Ellen, Congrats on your big loss. Isn't it wonderful to reach a new low. It will be nice to visit with your friend.

Mercee, come back when you can. We miss you.

Toni, I have been trying to get my Dh to buy a riding mower but he says he likes pushing it. We have the biggest yard in subdivision, on a corner lot. It takes him a couple hours to finish it.

Crystle, I hope your mom finds the strength to push to get well. It is so hard, after all, she is your mom. My dear friend called to today all upset as she was on her way to make funeral arrangements for her mom. It is getting close and even though she knows she will be better off, it is still so hard.

I hope I can stay awak for the musical tonight. I have heard only great reviews about it. Have a great evening.

Hi everyone. Had a wonderful day yesterday. DH worked out in the yard and afterward he burned a pile of leaves and then made a nice fire for us to watch from our deck. It was so fun to set out there. Later we put baked potatoes in the fire and had an easy dinner. Just the split potato.

Solly-Are you tired today? Hope you had fun with the girls.

Crystle- Well that hayfield lawn is all mowed and looks great. How are you today?

Ellen-Did you get your swim in?

Mercee- Howdy girl....

Default Howdy

Finally finished with the yucky part of the dentist. Hopefully if I do right I won't have to go through this again. Mom is doing much better also. She still have the bad leg and neck but at least she can safely get around. My son is studying for his asvab. He really wants to join the army. I wasn't on board for this but knowing him and what his goals are I think it is a good thing. Hard to think of him out from under my wings much less thrown into the real world.

Toni...you are a step ahead of me. We have been gone so much there is a ton of yard work I need to do. Not sure if it is going to happen though. I can't seem to get rested this week with all the late nights and early mornings. We had a fox this morning. He came prowling around about ten minutes after six..errr.

Hey Jackie...hope you are getting a chance to get some rest. I know what it is like to be running on half empty. ((hugzz)) Don't tell anybody but I do not think we are as young as we used to be.

Ellen...how did the throwing go yesterday?

Mercee...hope you are having a super day.

God bless,
Crystle

Howdy all.... Its a beautiful day here. I've got so much done this morning. Still need to make the bed and such. But I'm loving this day. Having a cup of green tea right now.

Crystle- I'm so happy you're done at the dentist. And that your Mom is a bit better. Things are looking up. Its hard to let those kids go. My son has been in the army for a long time. He can retire in 5 years. Its made him a good living.

Guess I'll check back later.

Default Howdy

Just a fly by to say howdy. ((Everybody)) Trying a new recipe tonight...roasted corn salad. My hubby doesn't eat raw onions or bell peppers so I'm doing it two ways, as a salad and as a warm side dish. Will share the reviews in next post. Hope ya'll are having a super weekend.

Toni..I think that it is awesome your son is close to retiring. Jessie is hoping to use this as a step toward being a lineman for the light company. But if he loves it he may stay in. You just never know. He is still pretty young.

God bless,
Crystle

Hello everyone! Sorry I have been MIA. Had a great time visiting with my friend. I am hoping to see her again tomorrow, then she flies out on Tuesday.

I had my grandson all day Saturday. We went swimming. I was afraid he would freak out at the cold water..but he loved it! And he was such a trooper. I was riding him in front of me on a noodle, like a hobby horse, and at one point his face went under water. I thought our fun was over, but he coughed, spluttered, and was ready to go on! Wow!

The pool is warming up some. Today was better, after a few hours of sunshine. It was a busy day...I had some errands to run. I hate doing that on Sunday, but yesterday was impossible with the three year old. I made sambar and idlies for dinner tonight. The idlies were a disaster, but tasted ok. I also made coconut chutney, which goes with the idlies beautifully. I use defatted coconut and lite coconut milk to cut down on the calories and fats, and it turns out sooo good! Yum!

Ok, off to bed! Tom is watching the end of Lost- not of any interest to me- so I think I will head to bed!

Default Good morning

Howdy ya'll. I am in love with corn salad. It was SO fresh and tasty. I did eat way too much but there are worse things to eat, like the ice cream pie I made.

Corn Salad
6 ears of roasted corn..cut corn from cob
2 chipotle peppers
1/2 small red onion
large lime juiced
about 1/3 to 1/2 a bell pepper cut small
salt to taste..I barely had to add any
a handful of chopped cilantro
olive oil

After you roast the corn and remove from the cob add all the other ingredient and serve.

Robert's version was just the corn, olive oil, lime, chipotle peppers and salt and pepper. It was okay but no where near as tasty to me.

I think what is neat is you can add or take away from the things you don't like.

Weight is still not moving because I'm not being good. But I am truly okay with it for now. I think that may be one reason I'm not as motivated as I should be. I'm healthy and happy. It is okay if I'm not as thin as I would like to be. I know that is subject to change. One day my largeness will get on my nerves and I'll do better.

((Everybody)) Hope and pray ya'll have a SUPER day.

Love and hugs,
Crystle

Happy Monday all. The week end was great. We took a lunch and a cooler and went off in the woods Friday. Just riding around all the great roads we have here. The river was up and beautiful, there were tons of people out floating in canoes and camping. We had such a nice time. Sunday it was so hot here we chose to sit out on the deck and be veggies. We grilled a nice pork tenderloin and would have loved Crystles corn salad with it. LOL.... But now its time to get back on track. I've been slowly getting away from my good way of eating.

Crystle- The recipe looks yummy, thanks for posting it. My main concern is for my food to be healthy and slowly get this weight off. I'm not doing real great at losing.

Ellen- The week end sounds so fun. I can just see your Grandson having a ball in the pool. You're doing so great on your weight, you're a real inspiration.

Morning Solly and Mercee.

Back to my coffee....

Good moring ladies!

I am glad to get back to you. We are having some very warm and humid days this weekend. Yesterday it was 91 and very humid. Today will be the same. I am glad to see you all are doing fine and enjoying the weather. This weekend I went shopping to buy a formal gown for my friend's 50th black tie birthday dinner. I was so excited. I can see how much weight I have lost and toned up. I was able to get my dress 2 sizes smaller than I use to wear and this was at at bridal shop. Yipee! I am so excited. I will be out walking today and the rest of the week since there is no rain in the forcast.

Crystle- Glad your mom is doing better and you finshed with your dental work.

Toni- Glad you were able to get so much done and you enjoyed your weekend.

Ellen- What a great day swimming and enjoying time with your grandson,

Solly- Hope you are having a good day.

I wil talk to you ladies later. Have a great day everyone.

Default Me again..

Toni..I am with you on eating healthier. We have been doing a really good job at eating healthy meals. I've been weak when it comes to the snacks. Last night we had chips and dip with our youngest. What is so bad is that it was a scheduled no-no. I did real good with the dessert, only a sliver. I'm still cooking and eating meat but a lot of times other than tasting at the stove I'm not adding meat to my plate at meal time. Sounds like you had a super weekend.

Mercee...thank you so much.

Breakfast this morning was an egg and pickle sandwich with lowfat mayo on white bread.

Better get the dishes washed.

Love and hugs,
Crystle

Good morning ladies,

Sorry I have MIA again. Thursday was a hectic day at work and then I took off Friday. The baby spent the night and I got up at 7:00 with him and took him over to the sitter at 8:00 and I went back to bed and slept until 11:00. Then I basically set in the chair and watched TV all day. I was exhausted. Saturday we planted the rest of our flowers until time to go to 3 graduation parties. Yesterday I wasn't feeling well and tired again so I did not clean my house and I tried to sit in the sun but I kept getting over heated so I took cold showers. At 4:00 we went to my DD's to keep the baby while they when to a rehearsal dinner. Didn't get home until 10:30 and I can hardly keep my eyes open today. I don't know why I can't get over this tiredness.

Toni, your picnic in the woods sound lovely. It was hot here too, but I perfer it over cold and rain. I do love sitting out on the patio in the mornings drinking my coffee.

Mercee, How exciting to get a dress 2 sizes smaller. I bet you will look like a knockout in it.

Crystle, your corn salad sounds like a corn dip we make except ours had sour cream and mayo in it. It was a big hit for bunco the other night. I'm right there with you on not being good and the wt not moving, except mine moves up. None of my summer clothes fit. I really need to get serious.

Ellen, Your time with your grandson in the pool sounds wonderful. I can't wait until my DD's pool warms up so we can get in. I think I could have gotten in yesterday no matter how cold it was. I am hoping one of my 3 friends pools is warm by this weekend.

Better run. I have 3 job bidding this week and I am way behind. Have a great day.
