You really aren't even that much overweight. My dh and I have always had those same kind of problems and we have 10 kids and have been married for 38 yr....go figure. But I have never been very sensuous and even worse since menopause. But the Lord is able to keep us faithful and life is short.
Dear CHEESY ~ I was very surprised when I read your post; at 5'7" and only 160 lbs, you are barely overweight at all! Twenty pounds is nothing for your hubby to get huffy about; maybe I'm not getting the whole picture or all the facts here. I would love to be your height and weight ... I would feel great!
I wonder if this isn't a mindset issue? So, I'm going to pray that GOD will put TRUE LOVE in your husband's heart for you. I think that a pure, Godly kind of love is imperative in any marriage. Everyone has times in their marriage when the libido wanes for bit; but, usually it will pick up again in time, but I think AFFECTION is even more important.
First comes LOVE, then AFFECTION, then the rest can follow that; in a loving, respectful way. It is true that men and women do see and feel differently at times; but a loving husband will try to make his wife happy if he wants their relationship to improve, esp in the bedroom ...
I just don't agree that this is all your fault; sounds like an image problem may be getting in the way of your relationship. Firstly, many men in this world would consider you one hot babe! You may need to do some planning.
Secondly, there are other ways to feel pretty like painting your finger and toenails; getting your hair colored and styled; purchase a nice lacy nightie or pj's that accentuate your best assets; put colored bulbs in your bedroom light fixtures (blue is best); have a romantic dinner with wine (or whatever his favorite is); and find some nice quiet music and so on.
Maybe that sounds too simple, but it works for a lot of men! Unless there is something else going on or not going on, that we are unaware of ... you can PM (private message) the ladies on this site for more personal advice, if you want to.
Maybe you need a more frank talk with your spouse; or maybe you need a weekend away in a nice, private place. They say that "Fun in the bedroom starts in the kitchen"! Take a good look at your relationship as a whole; start there and work your way into the bedroom issues later ...
My DH & I try to laugh and have fun with life; and I have learned this one thing ~ that LOVE CREATES DESIRE! Read the book of the bible called SONG OF SOLOMON and you will start to understand what I mean.
EDITED NOTE: CHEESY, I just looked at your profile pic and I can't believe that your DH doesn't find you attractive ... so, you do what you can; and let GOD work on him!
You will be in our ^ PRAYERS ^ for sure for this very delicate problem ~ your fellow encourager ROSEBUD

WELCOME CHEESY!
I have to so ditto to the ladies comments that posted before me... I will pray for a renewed love...
They are now talking moving Jim quite aways away from here to down near the pennsylvania border. PLease keep it in prayer that they will find a way to keep him at sunny view the rehab hospital he is currently at, so his wife and kids are able to see him fairly frequent. Thanks!!!
I'm sorry I haven't posted for a while. I've been fighting a cold and have no energy. i am feeling much better this morning. I go to work and then come home and crash for the evening. I sure hope this goes away before I go on holidays. We are taking 2 weeks and visiting family in Ontario and also doing a bit of sight seeing. We plan on going to Buffalo, NY. I hear there's awesome shopping there. Are any of you familiar with the area and what there might be to keep our men busy while we shop?
Karen: I'm praying for your situation. It is so hard to be so far away from family in these circumstances. Keep looking up!
Gary: You are kicking butt!! You've almost lost what I want to. I just need to get motivated and hearing how well you're doing is starting to work on me. I just need to get rid of some people in my house so I can work out when I want to. (Just kidding but it does feel like a motel here some days)
Rosebud: I love your positive attitude. I appreciate you being here. We're going to be in your lovely province as well as Quebec. I'm so looking forward to it.
Lori Happy anniversary! 30 years is quite an accomplishment. God has really blessed you.
Hello to everyone else. I just ran out of time and have to leave for work. You are all in my prayers.
I am off work today, and yesterday, taking a few days to catch up on doctor's appointments and follow ups. Also taking Angie's car in to get her tires balanced for her. I hope that is all it is
Same 'ol thing around here. A lot of dog walks and treadmill work going on for me! I am a little slow at work and working close to home, so I am taking advantage of it and really pushing myself on this weight loss journey. I am pretty happy with my success so far Maintaing will be the key, especially when I start working out of town again and getting home late ~ leaving early OR even staying out of town with no treadmill, etc. I know I will "plan" better when this starts again!
I am really doing well making "better choices" ~ Last night I made lasagna, a little different than I usually make, I eliminated ricotta cheese from my recipe and just had mozzarella (reduced fat) not a big difference there BUT I ate a small sample ~ very hard because it was soooo good! ~ had a big salad, then ate a little more lasagna. In the old days I would have polished off the whole dish...almost...just for fun
WILMA ~ Wednesday weigh in ~ I can't believe it I have been losing a little at a time, but it is coming off so fast "sometimes" that I get frustrated...which is baloney.....when the scale doesn't go down EACH day. Well today I weighed in at 183.6 for the second day in a row...I was a little bummed because of all the hard work I have done the last week...then I looked up (for this post) to see what I was last Wednesday...HELLO! I was at 188.2 that is almost 5 pounds this week! Yipee for me! And I was at 190.6 two weeks ago ~ so in two weeks that is 7 bye-bye to 7 pounds.
If you PM TECHWIFE and tell her that I sent you, I think she can help you out with your questions, I "believe" she lives real close to Buffalo. Sorry you house is "full" but dear you have to take time for YOURSELF! ~ they can fend for themselves while you exercise
LORI ~HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!! I LOVE Macaroni Grill ~ I usually get the shrimp portofino ....and boy do I love it! I am almost afraid to look at the calorie count now Angie and I have gift cards there we need to use...but...I told her I want to wait until I get down a little further on the scale! Remember you NEED to eat! Just because you aren't hungry now 10 hours is a long time to go without something.
I have to run to an appointment...I will be back later today to finish catching up! I PROMISE!
I spent most of the day and $$$$ getting new tires on Angie's car. At least I got a lot of walking in while I waited for 2 hours.
MARGIEB ~ Good to see you again. I thought I might with football season on...your Bears really made me against those hometown Chargers! How is DH tennis going? Knucklehead got kicked out of tennis PE ~ coach had 2 too many kids and told him based on his PAST he had to be one of those to leave, but come out for the team when the season starts.
AUNT SUE ~ Alreeady in my prayers that Jim gets moved to the place our good Lord wants him at. The Carribean...
ROSEBUD ~Can you believe my golden retrievers are afraid of big bodies of water? Puddles are fine, the canal in Washington was fine...against Angie and my wishes!! but lakes and the ocean...big babies! That is a lot of trees!! So you and Dh don't go to the same church? Glad you feel better
CAROL ~WOW! 10 kids and 38 years!! Congratulations!!
KAREN ~ I still have your sister in my prayers! I hope she gets the help she needs at the clinic. I can only assume how tough it has been on her. With my sister watching my mom and grandma 3,000 miles away I get the stories but not the "pain". About all I can do is help financially and with phone . For various reasons they all are staying in Illinois for now and no way can I leave, so all I do is pray and give the support I can. I won't even bring up the sale of you know what...from the news and folks I know around here..you are not alone! Prayers!
RENNIE ~ I hope all is well with you. Good advice for cheesewhore.
CHEESY ~ Prayers for you and your husband.
Well Ladies I "think" I am caught up! Have a great rest of the week!

Reason: spelling
RENNIE ~ Glad I am not the ONLY one with "dumb" dogs!...wink
I keep forgettin up-dates on my daughter in law's father, Jeff. He is at home, doing much better, still not talking but responding to voices and shakes his head yes and no. They are in Florida and it was hot one day last week so Nicole's mom and sister tried to feed him some popsicle...I guess he just took a huge bite out of it and swallowed...tars in his eyes...brain freeze! But they were happy that he, maybe, knew what it was they were feeding him.
GARY ~ DH and I always go to the same church together, even though he is Catholic and I am Protestant. When I was/am sick, DH goes to a nearby Catholic church that only speaks the French language (which I don't, so I can't understand what they are saying). So, the priest there told him to take me to the English services in town; and that makes sense.
On occasion, we to go a Protestant service of my choice; but we always go together. Turns out, I really like the young priest at the Catholic church in town, and I like the services too, even though I am Protestant and there are some differences. I think that GOD doesn't care which church we go to as long as they truly believe in Him and follow the Lord's teachings.
DH is quite happy about that; the Catholic church here is really working hard with the Protestant churches to have an open door policy; and they are working together to bring that about.
MAN, you must have a high metabolism to lose so much weight so fast; you are six feet tall and you'll be quite slim at 180 lbs. That treadmill seems to be helping you a lot; good for you: YOU ARE ALMOST AT GOAL!
HI MARGIEB ~ nice to see you back; we have been wondering where some of our ladies disappeared to. Hope all is well with you and yours.
We may see LENA back now that school is in again; and I did see REBA posting in another thread the other day.
WILMA ~ thanx for you kind words; I hope you are feelin' better too, and that wasn't the same flu we had here cuz boy, that was a horrible one. I had to take some NEO-CITRON and go to bed; DH is there right now cuz he still has it; he took one and went to bed early.
You know, that nice guy, depite being sick, went to the old farmstead and picked up six more trees for me today to take up to our cottage site; that was so nice of him; I said that maybe he should put it off, but he insisted that he wanted to do it. Think I'll make him a pumpkin pie for that (his favorite)!
I have been able to keep OP this week and I am going for 10 lbs at a time only; I am still losing inches and doin' my walking and toning exercises each day. I'm retaining water badly this week; gonna have to watch the salt to see if that helps any.
SUE ~ ^ PRAYERS ^ continue for JIM and his lodging ...
HI TO EVERYONE ELSE; HAVE A GREAT WEEK EVERYONE; your fellow encourager ROSEBUD
I thank you for all your support, ideas, compliments and prayers!!
They are working.
We are getting along and talking.
I have stayed on the JOURNEY of good choices (2 days) and found some diet support from some co-workers.
ROSEBUD- God Bless you for your long post. It means alot to me. You are right on many levels.
My husband's mom does this to his Dad, so it's a twisted learned behavior.
I think Y'alls prayers worked and helped me with some realizations about me vs. him.
I know when I lose even 5 lbs, it really makes a difference in our love life.
I figure losing a few more lbs = new clothes and a happy hubby, what else could a girl want!!
I praise God for this board.
Cheesy
I weighed in a day late and found out I'm still stuck at 158. At least it hasn't gone up. With this bad cold I've had I haven't felt much like doing anything. I am feeling much better now so hopefully I'll be able to get moving again.
Gary: I messaged techwife so we'll see if she can help me. We are so looking forward to this trip and the time away from work is much needed. Thanks again for your help. I can't believe you lost 5 lbs. this week. You have made a brilliant effort and it's paid off for you. Pretty soon Angie is going to have to run faster to keep up with you.
Rosebud: I don't have a flu bug. It's a wierd cold. It's in my ears and throat but my sinuses are clear. I just have a terrible time swallowing. It's amazing how that doesn't stop the food from going down! I am doing much better though.
Hello, everyone! I'm new to the Christian Encouragers thread, but not to 3FC. I've been posting here semi-regularly for two years or so and have been trying to lose weight for as long. About a month ago, I was diagnosed with PCOS, and since beginning treatment, have been losing fairly consistently. PTL for that! Anyways, I would love to be a part of this group and pray and rejoice with you all! Hope everyone has a great day!
Well I did it again! I weighed in at 180 and reached my second goal in less than a week. All those extra miles and eating better has paid off.
I sent an up-date on Jeff in my last post to RENNIE, I hope you all saw it.
Angie and I just finished chinese food for date night She is doing a crossword puzzle in the recliner behind me, we are waiting for the Dodger game to come on.
KIM ~Welcome ~ I hope you stay this time. We are very supportive of each other here...although some of us are slow to post...we are always PRAYING for each other!
WILMA ~I am pretty sure Techwife will reply back to you if she is around a computer. I hope she can help you out. Angie always finds a way to stay a step ahead of me, wether she is walking or running
Y ~ Glad things are better. You sure look familar to me, but not to Angie...ever worked up here in north San Diego county?
ROSEBUD ~Thanks for posting on my "church" thread. How was the pumpkin pie?
