HI EVERYONE ~ BACK SUE ~ so happy to hear that you are feeling so well; ~ We knew that you were going away on a holiday, but we just didn't realize it was so long.

GARY ~ we went up to see the cottage; DAD even put a coat of paint (a lovely deep teal green; looks great) on it before he left; no wonder he was exhausted. I called to check on him and GRACIE (my step-mother) said that he was still sleeping the next day.

WILMA ~ gee, your moniker says that you are a senior member, but that pic doesn't look like it; you could pass for your thirties. GRACIE told me not long ago that I only looked like I was 37 y/o; and a young fellow in our local GT thought that I was DH's daughter. I asked him if that bothered him and he said and I quote, "HECK, NO! I'm glad, but now I know why some guys kinda look at us funny (questioningly)." CONGRATS ON YOUR LOSS OF 2LBS!!!

HEART4HIM ~ don't be too hard on yourself; you are just getting started. It takes some time to get your plan right; I made changes slowly so DH wouldn't object too much to the new menus. He said he hardly noticed the changes at first. Things will get better as you go along.

Heart for Him- It does take awhile toget in the groove, the important thing is to keep on trying.. Get back on track and not beat yourself up. Great way to look at food addictions.

I have a prayer request for my bil's dad- Jim who was hurt in the horse and buggy accident. He is in a rehab hospital but the family was just informed last night that his insurance is maxed out they have paid 1.2 million dollars, and that he is not progressing quick enough so they are seeking nursing home placement. We live way upstate in New York. They only cover in a couple of nursing homes. One is about 50 miles south of Albany so probably about a 3 hr trip and the other in Syracuse which is even a lot further. His wife is really upset as she has been going down everyday to see him. Prayers the Lord find placement closer in a qualified rehab hosp. so that he is not warehoused. Gotta run its late. camping this weekend. I have teen outreach with youth group tom. a TEEN COFFEE HOUSE AS AN OUTREACH PROGRAM
Should be lots of fun. Have an awesome weekend.

Quick update before I head to work ~ My son and daughter in law are in Atlanta, flew out from Florida, where there is no change with her dad. Storms forced them to stay in Atlanta until today then they will head home.

Just still requesting prayers for her and her family.

It may not be much, but.......stepped on the scale to just take a peak and discovered 6 lbs. were missing!! That's a great start for me!! Thank you for your prayers!! Having a heart for Him really helps!

I went for a long walk yesteday with DH. Felt great! Tonight DIL and I are going to see Josh Groban. does cheering burn calories? Really looking forward to it.

I hope everyone is well.

Thanks for the prayers for my daughter in law's father. So far no change for the good, that I know of. The kids are back home, working in their classrooms yesterday and today for the start of school tomorrow.

Angie and I went to church this morning came home and took the dogs on a 3 mile walk, so I probably won't be doing the treadmill today. Angie is out in the garage now, sanding down an end table she bought a while ago at a garage sale. She wants to get it refinished before she goes back to school, next Monday (I think).

My daughter called me just a bit ago saying she was home safe from her trip to Michigan. I hadn't heard from her...she told me...but I forgot..go figure..at my age There wasn't electricity in the cabin to charge her cell phone. I just thought she didn't want to pay roaming charges!

I have lost 5 pounds since 7/23...it was 6 but I gained one back yesterday. No one told me this was an EVERY DAY thing

WILMA ~Great job on the walk! Have fun at the concert, did I tell you my son in law and daughter have met him a couple of times? One of my son in law friends is a good friend of Josh. My son and I tried and tried to get Stevie Wonder tickets when they went on sale yesterday ~ didn't happen!

ROSEBUD ~ Way to work 'ol dad into a nap frenzy The cottage sounds beautiful. How is the weather? How does your garden grow?

AUNT SUE ~The recliner is very comfy. The only problem is that it is on a swivel, everytime the dogs try to jump in my lap they spin me around It is funny! Sorry about the $$$ with Jim, it sure can get expensive in a hurry the way life takes us. Have fun camping and at the outreach ~ skinny.

ELIZBENNET ~Work it girl get that scale moving one ounce at a time!!

Gary: You did tell me that. Josh is a very personable guy. It shows in his performance. He took two small girls on stage with him and sang to them. We we had a great time! Now I'm tired and need to get to bed!

Thanks for your prayers my BIL's dad is going to get to stay at Sunnyview rehab, so that is a huge huge answer to prayer as he soon will basically only have medicare. The coffee house was awesome saw 2 kids make professions for Christ. So that was great... I have too work early tom. but prayers for your dil's father. Will try to post individually end of week. prayers!

HI GALS ~

Not much new to post. My life is pretty boring! Angie is finishing up her end table, got it sanded stained and varnished. She is putting the drawer handles on right now.

Things are still the same (last I heard) on Nicole's dad. Ryan and Nicole had their first day of school today but I haven't talked to them yet. Probably should. I got a couple of calls from their friends today wondering how things were going, they were kind of afraid to call them just in case Nicole's dad's condition was worse.

WILMA ~Thanks, I am about ready to change the numbers under my avatar...maybe this week if things stay as they are. I am working hard to get some of this weight off. I think I forgot one on the Josh Groban connection ~ he is a friend of a guy who's best friend is a tennis coach and that coach is a good friend of my son in law's The kids have met him at tennis things...I guess Josh comes to watch his friend.

Just a quick check in and update. My son called me today and said his fater in law, Jeff, now has shingles and bed sores...ouch. He is still in the coma. but tests for damage of the heart attacks is minimal if at all (?). So keep the prayers coming.

Today is the 10th Anniversary of the day I quit smoking!
