I slept 6 hours last night. I feel like a new woman today.
Thanks everyone for all the prayers. Last night as I was complaining to the big man again about how I just couldn't sleep I swear he said " Sweetie, go to bed " I slept so good.
Thanks everybody for your prayers on Levi's behalf. Did hear from his dad saying that he has chemo this weekend and then can go home for three weeks, and that tests came back better than expected - so GOOD NEWS - PTL!!!
Sue - Enjoy that last weekend camping - boy the summer has sure flown by hasn't it!! But it's still way-y too hot here, I'm ready for a cool down.
Alright all you girls with sleep problems - my daddy always says it must be your conscious bothering you if you can't sleep - so 'fess up and tell us what you've been into ????? On a more serious note, I know how awful you feel when you don't/can't get enough sleep and hoping this resolves itself and you'll feel better.
EZ - where are you?? Have you lost so much weight now that you've just disappeared??? DD went to State Sectionals, with a stomach ache , played against an older girl and still kept her on the court for almost two hours before the game was over. Unfortunately it didn't turn out for us but DD wasn't too disappointed (1st of all she didn't feel good enough to feel disappointed) and she's been at and lost tournaments before. It was really good, had the school there she practices with and she got out of school for the day so she felt as though it was a complete success!! Looking now at a USTA tournament in Cincinnati at the end of the month. . . gotta keep her busy!
Sorry I gotta run so fast but hello to everyone else -need to get caught up on all the posts but remember there's hugs & prayers comin' at ya, -- have a great weekend - Margie
Margie
They have found my sleep problems are a chemical thing. The meds make me sick so I just don't take them
My daughter did pretty good at her tennis sectionals. She won the first round but lost the second so she didn't get to move up. Hey, better than last year when she lost the first round. Isn't really fair but that is how life goes. We don't even have tennis courts here lol. Some of the private schools have tennis lessons every day. Oh well that is how the real world is. She wasn't do disappointed. Had a tummy bug and was glad she didn't have to play anymore even thou she had to stay there for the whole thing. They started at 9 am and didn't get home until after 7 pm.
This is only her second year on the team. Freshman and sophomore years. Her record is 24 wins 8 losses for the two years. I am very proud of her. She has done pretty good with nothing more than her determination and once a week group tennis leasons ( for 10 weeks each school year) with the middle school tennis coach her 7th and 8th grade years.

Another HOT one here in southwestern IL. Supposed to go up in the 90's over the weekend. I might actually get in the lake at mom and dad's on Sunday. I don't do that until the season is over and most of the people don't go out there anymore - that way I'm not so to be seen in my bathing suit. I'm doing WATP faithfully and actually it IS getting easier to do! I'm praying to keep up with it - I've lost more weight, but haven't gotten on the scale for fear it isn't enough for my perfectionist brain.
RENNIE: Thanks so much for the encouraging words regarding AJ. His P-doc increased his dosage today and hopefully it will calm his anger down a little. bit. I know what you mean about another school. His special ed teacher mentioned that about learning new negative behaviors at a school like that. It's a tough call - I'm sure God will lead us to the right decision. Thanks for the prayers!
KIM: THANKS so much for the prayers. I'm sure all you prayer warriors will lead us to help for AJ. Doesn't it feel GREAT to work out? I haven't worked out in so long and it's just what I need for my physical and mental health. I feel so good lately!
WILMA: Your vacation sounds like it was wonderful! I've not been to NY but would love to go sometime. There are some castle ruins in Ha Ha Tonka State Park in Camdenton, MO that has an interesting story also. Unfortunately there was a fire, hence the ruins. But it overlooks some of the most beautiful countryside of the Ozarks ever.
COUNTINGDOWN: Thanks for the prayers! I hope you have a wonderful vacation! It sounds beautiful up there!
ROSEBUD: What a stressful week! I hope your leg is better. It sounds so sore! Thanks for the prayers! We are sure we'll find help for him in God's time!
CAROL: Oh my! I had forgotten you have ten kids! And SIX boys??? My three just about do me in! Thanks so much for the prayers.
SUE: THANKS so much for your prayers! Camping is near and dear to our heart here. DH, our 21 yo son and I used to camp all the time. We started out with a pop-up and ended up with a 30 foot complete with bunk beds in the back when the littles came. But alas, the house needed new windows and we had to sell the trailer to get the windows. But we are borrowing Bob's dad's pop-up (a 1970 model!) and going out the first weekend in November. Can't wait! Hopefully it won't be 90 degrees then!
MARGIE: Great news about Levi!! Still praying! My dad says the same thing if I can't sleep. "It must be a guilty conscience!"
GARY: How are you doing? How's your mom? Anymore news about Scotty?
Prayers for all of you great friends on here. I really appreciate you all! Have a WONDERFUL and BLESSED weekend!

Hi Lori....I am also posting in the Golden Girls.....I am so sorry your son is having so many problems. God has blessed him with you as a Mom....I will pray he will improve.....hang in there.
I would like to ask for prayers for my brother in law who has bone cancer that has settled in his back.....he was diagnosed less than 2 yrs. ago and went thru unbearable pain for 6 mths during treatment and now it has flared up again. So a new treatment plan is being made....he is only 58.
I am asking for prayers, his name is John and he lives in Seattle. He and my sister will be here in about a week for a family reunion and then he goes back to Seattle to start the new treatment plan.
Hello and welcome. Will sure put your brother in law on the prayer list and pray for him myself too. Great people here. Very suportive and nice to chat with.
I am sorry I haven't been here to post much, I have been checking in daily though. It has been very hard for me with my mom's situation, you gals are my ROCK!
She has been in the hospital again for three days now, the doctor did not expect her to live out today. Her heart is failing quickly. Myself and my kids have plane tickets for this thursday but it doesn't look at all like she will make it until then. We would have been there right now but my sister asked to postpone until this week because then she could come here for her 1st grandbaby's first birthday. So much for our planning!
Scotty is still in a coma and in critical condition. Doctors feel the cause is from a blood clot on his brain, that happened after a minor collison on the football field, then accelerated as the evening went on. No one could have known.
My daughter in law's father is still in bad shape. She returned from Florida yesterday, it really took a toll on her seeing him in his condition.
PHYLISS ~Welcome! Prayers for your brother are being sent as we each post here. Please come back when you can.
