Sure is Angelic! I also went to Dave's Running shop today to get fitted for running shoes (was using Payless running shoes before) and ended up hitting a big sale. Got a pair of $150 shoes for $90!

Well ladies.....finished W3D3. Very hard and......I'm beginning to have some slight pain in one or both knees. So far the pain has mostly gone away by run day....but tonights runs I felt it more and in both knees...not bad but its worrying me. I took ibuprophen and iced just in case. I hope I can keep progressing!! I have until Sunday to rest so we shall see!!

ds072793: i had knee pain last week and had to take a few days off. I think it's better to take extra rest days than to risk getting a bad injury!

I ran W6D3 tonight. 22 minutes, baby! As always, the first 2-3 minutes were the hardest. After that I got in the zone until I got to the last 5 minutes or so. Those were hard, but I did it!

ELVIS DO NOT READ THE FOLLOWING IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THE REST OF THE PROGRAM:

I just realized that I'm now DONE with the intervals! The next weeks will be 25, 28 and 30 minutes! It's scary to think I can do this!

You are so cute, thank you for the warning. It was hard without intervals at first but now I think it's easier not stopping and starting again, you just run your buns off till cooldown!

I got so excited that I'm near the end, I already peeked!!

W8D3 tomorrow, can't even believe it!

Everyone is doing awesome, this is my most favorite thread.

Angelic.....I'm torn about that. I of course don't want injuries but I worry about taking extra time cause in don't want yo lose my endurance I've built up. I only do the three days...I don't do anything on the off days. I'm trying to listen to my body...but unsure when is too much. I'm trying to go with...if the slight pain/discomfort I'm feeling goes away by run day...or doesn't hurt while running...then I think maybe I'm good to go. Today...there was slight pain...when I started but it went away and returned only when I was done. I just am not sure what to do...ugh! Hoping I will be fine by Sunday.

I completely understand ds, I was worried about the same thing. I took four days off and didn't notice any difference in my endurance. I also don't really exercise outside of C25K right now.

But even if you have to go back a few days when you get back to it, I think it's better than to risk an injury!

Hi all. Well, I WAS having an awesome morning. I completed W2D2, and a friend even joined me and start the C25K program, so I'm excited.

I also started my 1 week salad challenge today, and I must say that right now I am eating a very yummy breakfast salad.

Reason I say I WAS having a great day is I just got a call from my mom and she had to have one of her dogs put to sleep These kinds of things hit me really hard, because my brain just starts pulling up memories, plus I feel bad that my mom was alone when she had to do it. Blah, hate crying at work too. Sorry to be a downer, I know she is in doggie heaven that is even better than people heaven.

This broke my heart for both you and your mom, I'm so sorry. If your mom is anything like my mom, that doggy lived heaven on earth and couldn't have had a better life. But I know that heartbroken feeling you have. Try to think of all the cute and funny stuff your doggy did, soon you will smile more than you cry. I wish dogs could live to be 100, I'd be lost without my little buddy and he's already 10. I hope you have a better day, will keep you and your mom in my thoughts.

Just finished W8D3, one more week to go! This time last year I couldn't walk 10 minutes without knowing where I could sit to take a break, I'd be sore afterwards, God forbid I see anyone I know as I'd be sweaty and out of breath. AND NOW, I'm a runner! I almost cried I was so happy. Today was my easiest run this week, I just wanted it and needed it. So surreal to me.

Love reading all of your posts, keep the good work chickies. Hope everyone has a nice weekend!

Elvis Thanks for your kind words. I'm feeling better, and my body feels good, which really helps. Not sure if that makes sense. I just have that heavy feeling in my stomach, if you know what I mean.

And CONGRATS! You are such an amazing inspiration to me! That you have almost completed this program really motivates me. You have come such a long way and have so much to be proud of!

I know exactly the feeling you mean. And I'm glad you are feeling better. Only a pet owner knows what you are going through and it's a feeling we wouldn't wish on our worst enemy.

Aww,thank you! It might sound silly but I inspire myself! I can't even believe that I can and have done all this. It's not easy (but it's not awful) and it's a euphoric feeling when the voice comes on saying "Your workout is complete"!

I hope anyone who ever considers running reads this thread and sees what we all have done. If this isn't enough to convince anyone, there is nothing to convince them!

100Mother: I'm so sorry! I wish i could give you a hug!

elvis: Congratulations! Omg, you only have one week left!!! Do you know what you will do when you're done? I'm still wondering what kind of training I'll do afterwards, I think I'll miss having a structured program. I need to check out the 10K ones.

I read the first few pages of this thread yesterday and we have made amazing progress! I was so happy on week 2 that I could jog for 90 whole seconds and I was so scared of week 3 and its 3 minutes jog Now I could jog those 3 minutes in my sleep!

Hi Angelic!! I read the first pages too and it's like having a personal diary of my c25k experience! I posted every single time I ran so I have the trials and tribulations of the exact day, it's awesome! I never thought I'd be on the end of the program so quickly!

I have no idea what I'm going to do. It's on my agenda to google and see if I can find ideas on what to do. I was thinking I might just keep doing week 9 over and over each week as I need the discipline of the clock/timer and I like that the app counts down (whereas my treadmill counts up, if that makes sense). I like knowing I only have 10 minutes to go rather than I have only ran 10 minutes so far, know what I mean?

And just so you all know, I will be on this thread even when I am done. I want to both cheer you all on plus be accountable for myself!! I love you guys!!
