I will have to head over here and join this thread!

I just finished W3D1 .. I have found a new love of running.I feel so powerful when I run! I am doing a foam fest/mud run Mid-June..I am hoping to be under 200 by then because I know my fat self won't look very hot covered in mud..I'd rather not look like a pig in the mud! ha

I tend to run every other day.. Do you guys think that is too much?

Edited to add:

I use mapmyrungps app to log how far I run, My pace, and the route I take..it also tells me the elevation of the area I ran!

Sinderelly: I also run every other day. I don't think it's too much, as long as you're feeling good!

Welcome Sinderelly! I also use mapmyrun and nikeplus to track my runs and I love all the things that both of them tell me! I only run 3x a week, but I do other cardio at least 2 other times a week so I don't think every other day is bad. Whatever works for you.

I did W5D1 today and it started off great. I felt like I could have kept going forever when it told me to walk after the first run. However by the third my stomach was cramping again. I finished it, barely, and was running super slow. I think I know why though, I ate way too many carbs with dinner. My fiancé knew I was starving after work so he made a quick dinner of a sandwich AND a small side of pasta salad. Way too much. It's 3 hours later and I'm still stuffed! I'm definitely going to have to pay more attention to my eating especially now that the runs are getting longer and longer. I really liked how I felt like a 'runner' after that first run though.

Sinderelly - I try to aim for running every other day but sometimes its less or more regular, depending on my schedule.

Today, I'm deciding whether I should repeat W6D2 or continue to D3. I've not been able to do my running for a few days due to a conference and I'm not sure about 25 straight.

Maybe try Day3 and try to do your best? If you run the whole thing, great, if not you can repeat it next time.

Thats probably what I should do. I think I'm just using being mildly sore from skating extra yesterday as an excuse. Also, I'm so terribly stubborn that I know I'll somehow find a way to complete it if I just muster the energy to start :P Thanks

OMG, dehtripper- congrats on getting to W6D3, that is absolutely amazing. I agree with Angelic Fruitcake, I think you should keep trying to go forward and not redo one, unless you were unable to finish it the last go around. Your body may surprise you and the 25 minutes be nothing. Let us know how it went!

I skipped my scheduled run today, what a crankypants I am.

I had a bad (to me) weigh-in and spent the day doing more crying than exercising.

I'm hoping the bit of soreness in my abs is keeping the scale up and that it's not really a stall or true gain.

So I plan on doing it very early tomorrow and get back on schedule for Wednesday (so that will be 2 days in a row). I don't want to skip a day between as that would mean I'd be doing a big (to me) run on Saturday and then weighing in on Monday.

I'm getting so much more healthy and fit with this program (I can tell I'm stronger) but I don't want the scale being punished by my C25K success!

I'm so sorry about the weigh-in elvis324! Being stuck in a plateau sucks, but it sucks even more when you're so close to your goal. I hope you'll see a big loss next week.

Thank you, angelic fruitcake!! I have never felt healthier, stronger or better in general so this scale thing is really irking me!

Thanks! I was all geared up, on my way to the gym yesterday when a couple friends asked me to join their workout (super awesome core/free weights/agility put together by a trainer friend) so I didn't get it done. Kinda sad I didn't do c25k too, but it was really nice to workout and learn new exercises with friends. MUST do W6D3 today after frisbee.

I've started before but never finished. I've run a 5k at about week 4 and then quit after that. I don't know why I quit. I felt so good after running the 5k and then just slacked off! We have a marathon where I live every year and there's a 5k division that I ran. That was last year and I didn't do it this year. It was this past Sunday. I am now planning on some 5ks around here so I'm getting the training started now!

I started again yesterday and I am fully sure that I'm going to do it this time!

I walked at 3.5 mph and ran at 4.5 mph. Not fast I know. I don't care though! LOL I'll get there. Then I'll work on speed!

So glad you are here, mamabear!! And you are racing past me with your speeds! I only do 3.0 walking and 3.8 running (jogging?) as I never did anything like this before! I'm working on building up my tolerance in my muscles and breathing, then I'll work on my timing!

Did W6D1 today. Put on my happy pants and got rid of my crankypants! I considered skipping this week and see if the scale would go down but I'm not giving the scale that kind of power. I love doing this C25K, esp. with all of you, and I think I'd be sad if I took a break. I'm going to trust the program that my body is getting more fit and efficient every day, even if it's punishing me on the scale (I don't know it for a fact, just a theory of many!).

Hope you all have a nice Tuesday!

Well Elvis, that was D1W1 so we'll see if I run that fast tomorrow. lol I don't really care about speed. Of course I want to be fast but I'll get there eventually. I really just want to finish the whole program for once. I've started more times than I'd like to count. The farthest I got was week 4. Usually it was week 2 or 3. Not this time!

I did W5D2 today and for the first time ever, I couldn't finish. My legs didn't want to keep running. The first 8 minute of running went fine, but I stopped midway through the second one. I'm a bit disappointed but it's not the end of the world. I'll repeat it on Thursday. Maybe I'll try going after the kids are in bed so I don't have to use the stroller...
