I don't have lots of time so I'm going to do my quick update and comment tomorrow. I attempted to do W6D3 today and was so close to finishing it, but I just couldn't, my body wouldn't let me. I had LESS THAN 1 minute to go on my 15 minute run and my entire body just gave up. I was really disappointed, because as Elvis pointed out, if I finished it, I would have run 1 hour this week. Instead it was just 59 minutes! I know it's still great, but it would have been great to hit that hour. It's going to have to wait for a bit as next week I'm heading out of town right after work on Thursday so I'll only have 2 days of running.

Changergirl!!! ***HUGS*** 59 minutes is amazing!! And remember I'm on Week 7 so I'm just a little bit further than you! And I haven't done my run yet today so I can't point out anything yet!

And I'm sure you are aware by now but I'm obsessed with numbers. Calorie numbers, exercise numbers, minutes run/walked/skipped, etc. so please don't take anything I say personal or what needs to be a goal. We can only do what our body allows us to do.

Plus, just think, a month ago most of us were not anywhere near running 50 minutes so look how far we have all come!!

I'm eating breakfast now (starving!) after driving my husband into work this morning as he's going out tonight with the guys. So I feel like I have all day to goof off and not get my exercise or cleaning done (!!). I have a feeling there will be a lot of 3FC posting today! I'll post details of my run when it's done.

Changergirl - 59 mins? Whaat? That is amazing! You've come so far! Next time you do this run, maybe add an extra minute, just to show yourself you CAN do it

Week 7 is COMPLETE!!!

I feel like having a party, can't even believe it. It was THE hardest run yet even though it was the same 25 minutes I did already twice this week. Not sure if it was mentally hard, physically hard, I just don't know. But I felt strong, I felt motivated, I felt AWESOME!!

I actually had wished I had the Rocky Movie theme song on my phone, I think my husband has it on our computer so I can add it to my phone. And of course I had to go to Pinterest and find Rocky (LOL, I'm cracked).

So happy for us, I know I say it all the time. But really, I AM. We are doing amazing things in this thread. And we are RUNNERS!

Just finished W2D3. I was concerned that I wasn't going to be able to do it. Yesterday I was pretty sore from Wednesday's run but I plugged away and didn't even notice the time on the last 2 runs. All of a sudden I was cooling down and was like "huh? Where'd the last run go?" LOL

And WTG fellow runners! And Changegirl, don't beat yourself up over that one minute! Focus on the minutes you DID run! You got this!!

OMG thank you, basementcat. You are so kind! Do they make running shirts in plussize??

I just thought of an NSV I meant to tell you all when I was thinking of wearing a big shirt. Since I run in my basement (it's nice and finished, not like a dungeon!) I can wear whatever I want since no one sees me. I had on a more fitted tshirt and noticed my inner arms no longer touch my belly sides when I run!!! Holy NSV!!!

Omg, Elvis! Grats! I live for the day when my inner tights wont rub against each other (so much) any more
mamabear272, week3 is ahead of you! Maybe its good to take an off day between runs? Just to give your muscles some well deserved rest!

Don't be disappointed, you're doing amazing! My body gave up as well on W6D2 yesterday so I'll have to try it for the THIRD time tomorrow!

I think I have to accept that my thighs will always touch. I had an eating disorder in my 20s and I remember being 95 lbs and crying because my thighs touched and thinking that maybe if I got down to 90 they wouldn't... It was crazy. Big thighs are a part of my body, but I do hope to make them smaller than they are now!

I wanted to retry W6D2 today since I couldn't finish it yesterday but the muscle at the back of my thigh hurts right now and I don't want to risk getting an injury so I'll be resting today and maybe even tomorrow if it still hurts. I hope it won't though.

I don't run on consecutive days. I run Monday, Wednesday, Friday so I have the weekend to recoup.

Wow, I cannot believe how awesome everybody here is doing. I told my dude the other day that as much as he motivates me to keep running, it is all the people on here that really keep me going. I am so glad you're all doing well.

Elvis Thanks for the encouragement and a BIG congrats on finishing week 7! Only 2 more to go, insane. And you ran 75 minutes this week. That is fabulous. I also second you getting one of those running t-shirts, I bet if you try on an XL it'll fit...no more plus size for you

basementcat- Thanks for the encouragement. I actually tried to run the additional minute on my second run yesterday but I just couldn't do it, got in maybe 10 seconds. I know eventually I will get in that extra minute. Good job with your run, I always love it when I manage to run a bit faster.

mamabear I love the days when I'm not counting down the minutes/seconds for the run to be over...though I will say they've been few and far between recently.

Angelic Fruitcake- Congrats on sticking with it. W6 is a toughie, though I believe I'm going to be saying that about the rest of them. Third times the charm, right?! Also thanks for the info about your thighs at 95 lbs, I also have been "blessed" with a large lower half and especially thighs. I probably had unrealistic expectations that they at one point would not touch. Knowing yours touched when you were that small will make it much easier for me to accept mine.

I just saw an ad that there is possibly a color run coming to Korea. I'm really intrigued by this as it looks like a ton of fun. I've never ran a race before, unless the ones I was forced to run in elementary school count, and I'm not sure how much I'd like running along side other people (I'm too competitive and too out of shape to keep up with other people). I'm going to keep watching for updates and if it's in the fall I may sign up.

Ok, so now I have a cold from all the air conditioning at work the last couple of days. I tried to run but it makes my lungs burn. I am going to take the weekend to recoup and start up again next week. URGH!
