Week 6 is COMPLETE and I didn't die!!! Hello 22 minute runner!! I can't even believe I did this.

You ladies are doing awesome. I actually thought about all of you when I was running to keep my eyes off the clock. I love knowing that we are all in this together and looked forward to coming back here to post (assuming I survived LOL!).

Changergirl, don't worry about it!! Put off the long runs as long as you can! There is no turning back after they start! I actually didn't realize there were different versions so I could have easily ended up with the same one you did. To be honest, I didn't think I'd get this far in the training (I figured it would hurt too much or I'd be bored or whatever). Then I met you all!!

You guys are rocking it!! I was supposed to do W1D3 today but I had to take my daughter to an appointment and then my little guy got out of school early and his friend came over to play after school. So I'm going tomorrow. I'm definitely going though so no worries there!

Sooo I have hated running my entire life..In high school I was in great shape..I was an athlete..but I dreaded running...

Now?

I absolutely LOVE IT! My day is not complete without a nice run! I can't believe how far I have come.

I finished Week 3 Day 3 today.. and start on Week 4 day 1 on Sunday.

Yesterday, I was craving a run because I was stressed..so I put my headphones on and started running..My plan was to try to run a mile without stopping.. Well.. I ran a little over 2 miles - No stopping and no walking! My pace was a 14 minute mile but that is okay.. I did it!

I can't believe how well couch to 5k works! *happy dance* lol

Congrats to everyone on their running!
I completed W6D1 yesterday and is it wrong to say that it felt too easy.
I feel good enough to do D2 today.
I know I don't fit the image I have for a runner but I am beginning to feel like one!!!

Welcome back, basementcat! We missed you!! Hope you enjoyed your vacation!! 3lbs isn't bad at all, it's probably mostly water weight (if not all!) and it will be gone in no time!

msmedee, congrats!! I found week 6 to be easier than week 5 but I think it was that 20 minute run on day 3 that snuck up on me! (I try to not read ahead of what the lesson is going to be, I like to be surprised. I thought that 20 minutes would kill me LOL!).

I felt really good this week doing week 6, I don't feel as sore as I did after last week. But I will admit, I didn't hold my stomach/abs in as hard as I did last week (that hurt more than the run did!).

We are all doing so great, I'm so happy!

Welcome tehshort! It's a great place to be!

Sinder, great to hear that your run went that well! Love it!!

I did W1D3 today and it felt good mostly. I have celiac and I think I got glutened Thursday and my tummy is still trying to recover. But other than that, it was ok. Looking forward to W2!

Okay. Completed Week 1 Day 1 today and I realized I have never really ran before. I'm sure that I looked like a crazy person as I ran (slowly jogged?) but I felt so proud of myself when I finished! Then I promptly plopped myself onto the grass and laid down for a few minutes before walking home. Awesome
