Hi all - I feel like I've been MIA. This weekend we went camping and I took a mini break from exercise and counting calories. And it couldn't have come at a better time. I've been needing a bit of a reboot, because the scale has been getting me down and I've been struggling to make a shift from a weight loss to a training mentality, which I desperately need.
So, this week I am starting down that road and I will begin obstaining from all weight loss challenges. In fact, I'm just going to train for my Triathlon at the end of July and not weigh in until after that at the earliest (GASP!) Here's hoping I can resist the temptation.
SO...back to the subject matter of the thread, haha. Yesterday I finished the C252 W3D3. Today I will be starting W4. Nervous and excited at the same time. Yesterday I ran outside for the first time, and it was definitely different. Good because there was a lot of scenery, bad because I always seemed to be going up hill when I was running. But I made it! And that is the important thing.
Everybody keep it up! Haven't gotten to read everyone's posts, but I must say
elvislover...you may be bummed, and I can understand. But you definitely sound like all these runners I'm reading about in my books, where they push push push, and then have to learn to listen to their body to rest sometimes and maybe not go full capacity. I mean that as a compliment because they are so inspirational and so are you! Keep it up
