wow that's a lottawatta I had no idea.

I drink a whole bottle when I get up
1 with breakfast,
1 at work during the morning
1 at lunch,
1 after lunch,
1 when i get home with my exercise
1 with dinner
1 in the evening and a diet pop

I have 8 every day without fail, I line the bottles up on my desk at work and home so I don't forget - I drink them at room temp so I don't have to remember to go to the fridge.

Hey Thin, I am new to the forum, but I usually eat a few pcs of fruit a day. If you are worried about BS levels, then you might want to eat them early in the day. I know fruit rasies my husbands levels. Patti

Well . . . it is Friday . . . it is morning . . . so far so good.

Afraid I'm not having a good one. Feel quite crummy, actually and the BGL of 8.2 (148) goes along with that I guess. Hopefully things will improve.

Welcome to the group . . . Patti . . . glad you found us, chickie . . .

Guess we should make water consumption the official question for the day . . . so, on average, how many 8 oz (250 ml) glasses of water do you drink each day and do you count things like diet soft drinks and/or crystal light in that total? .

You already know the answer for me -- 10 -- and I do not count anything but water (the rest is gravy, so to speak) Looks like we definitely know the answer for Thin, too -- 16 -- and just water. So; how about everybody else?

Anyway . . . think I'm going back to bed for a bit. Hope I wake up feeling better later. In the meantime, here's a good article on Healthy Snacking for Diabetics (and everybody else, too) from Everyday Health . . .

http://www.everydayhealth.com/photog...iabetes-snacks

See you later, gang . . . keep things moving and shaking . . .

Morning All and Pattiann
Basics first 114 bsl this am. not bad for a chick who ate mini bag of popcorn at midnite lol This weekend i was suppose to be going to the bridal shower, but the bride neglected to tell me that she had changed the date
as for the question of the day... ahhh i really don't keep track of it. i don't really drink a lot because im just not that thirsty.. i drink water at work and sugarfree lemonade with dinner.. but i really couldn't tell u how many oz or cups or anything lol.
Meowee: Hope u feel better when u wake up. I think we woke up feeling about the same. i didn't want to go to work and felt sluggish and funky for the most part.. but i couldn't take the day off because the bosses are off at a b&b for the weekend lol. but heres an extra for ya.

well i'll be floating around for a while.. ttfn and happy friday!

Here I are again . . .

and . . . things are a lot better now . . . I had that "nap" but it turned out to be 4 hours long . . . hard to call that a nap. Anyway, it's like I started the day all over again. I feel a lot better and my BGL was 5.5 (99) when I got up the second time. I just had a second round of two cups of coffee and finished up a light lunch (I had forced down my breakfast before even though I didn't really want it). The weather has made a massive change too . . . it's actually fairly warm and nice and sunny this afternoon.

Hi ROSEY . . . . . . hate to tell you this, but I think our age has a lot to do with the getting up in the night thing.

Hi MICKEY . . . . . . well, that was the epitome of thoughtlessness. Is the shower now scheduled into the future or did you miss it?

Keep drinking the water girls whether you are actually tracking it or not is obviously immaterial . . . just don't forget that staying well hydrated keeps the body from retaining water (and, of course, retained water = weight).

Been a busy day in my e:mail in-box too, here are a couple more articles I found there this afternoon the first one is about shoes . . . http://www.dlife.com/dLife/do/ShowCo...ing.shoes.html . . . and the second discusses the interaction of heart problems and kidney problems . . . http://www.everydayhealth.com/public...HC:%20Diabetes . . .

Anyway, gang . . . keep things moving and shaking (and gurgling) . . .

Is the M/H a sister of the bride or something like that? If I were you, I'd be getting pretty close to packing it in.

Here's what I ate today . . . actually a little higher in fat than I like to be and that really adds up in calories, too . . . but those 6 little back spare ribs were delicious even though 70% of their calories come from fat . . . saturated fat.

B: 2 coffee, HP pancakes, strawberry-rhubarb topping
S: ---
L: 2 coffee, celery, cheese, apple
S: Skinny cow bar
D: spare ribs, big salad with FF Italian; strawberries with jello & CW
S: 100 calorie bag Smart Pop; 1/2 apple

96 oz / 3000 ml water

Hope everyone has a great evening . . . see you tomorrow.

Good Morning . . .

So far so good around here although it is pretty foggy for the second morning in a row . . . maybe I should go back to bed, that seemed to work fairly well as a weather improvement device yesterday. My BGL is having a pretty good morning, too. Sitting at 5.3 (95) first thing. However, I do feel the beginnings of a little yeast infection 'tickle'.

So . . . the question for today (close your ears, Glen) . . . I think most of us know that diabetics are said to be more prone to yeast infections than the 'normal' population . . . do you find that to be true for you?

Definitely seems to be the case for me and most of my 'outbreaks' are topical/external rather than internal. Very annoying, nontheless.

BTW, just to keep you entertained -- always something new in the world of my feline menagerie. This mornings "event" -- 2 out of 3 kittens have figured out how to get onto the kitchen counter -- will probably be all 3 by the end of the day.

Okay . . . off I go to try to get something accomplished. Have to get things moving and shaking. The new scale said I was almost 2 pounds higher than I was 2/3 weeks ago. Sure don't want that to be the case when I ask it for an 'official' opinion on the 27th, so I'd really better try to do as much of the good stuff as I possibly can until then.

Have a great day, gang . . . see you all soon . . .

Good morning everyone, yep a east infection is what led to my Diabetes diagnosis, when they tested my urine they found a high level of sugar and sent me for blood work.

I am up early this morning, forgot to turn my daughter's school alarm off - so it went off at 6:45 she slept through it (of course) but do you think I could?

7.4 this morning for BG (133) probably those nasty cashews I scarfed down (again)

Have a great Saturday everyone, tonight I go to Ruth's Chris steakhouse, wish me luck.

I've figured out something about myself these past few weeks. I do not crave anything sweet. (ie) chocolate, cake, cookies, regular coke etc...

My daughter made muffins this morning and I feel absolutely no temptation or interest but - what I do crave and struggle with is salty things, my husbands nuts, for instance I have cheated twice with his cashews. plus. I crave the cheddar cheese in the fridge, or his steak & onion pie with gravy... salt, salt salt.

I also feel very unsatisfied with the taste of some things I make for myself, I really want to put salt on my egg white omelet and in that spaghetti sauce I made the other night - it tastes okay, but it really needs salt!
