Sno- that's awesome! You'll get there in no time. Congratulations!

I reached my labour day goal a week early. I'm extremely shocked and surprised to say the least. I know they say its most hard to lose those last 10-15 pounds, but so far I feel like they've come off the most easy. A simple few changes once I reached the 15 pound mark and I've managed to continue to lose.
I ran the stairs of my building 3 times last week, with a day each in between. Man did my calves get sore. But it was worth it as I love that sore feeling! I also upped my fibre intake 2 weeks ago by increasing my quantities of high fibre vegetables as snacks, as well as switching my special k to all-bran flakes. I find the all-bran too be too plain by itself so i'm topping it with raspberries and using lo-fat plain yogurt instead of milk. Much more filling and delicious!

Friday night I spent the evening at my moms. I had to munch on my dinner on the bus, but then told my mom not to pick me up from the bus loop. I jogged to her place instead, which was an added 20minute exercise to my day. The following morning I took both of her dogs out for a 5k which was nice. She lives in the suburbs (I live in the city) so it was a much different walk than which i'm used to with my dog.
My mother started weight watchers just over a month ago so the meals she prepared me on saturday were delicious and awesome. For lunch she had some leftover WW salads and soup, and man did I feel full! I'm not following a particular plan, but copied some of those recipes down as they were chalked full of vegetables, fibre and low in calories (i guess the closes thing to a plan i'm following is calorie counting).

I'm excited to be so close to my weight loss. The one thing that has made me the most disappointed throughout is that the comment i'm getting most is "where did your boobs go?" not "wow you've lost so much weight!" It's frustrating at the best of times. I went from a 38DDD and right now i'm stuck between the 36DD and 36D mark, I figure a i'll settle in at a loose fitting D or a full C once I reach my goal weight. Still not a small size, but I myself have noticed they look MUCH smaller and it's kind of sad to know everyone else is noticing too. But I keep reminding myself that's more important to be healthy and live longer than to have large boobs! (I would never opt for surgery to gain my boobs back, part of this experience is to be the best ME i can be, not something else).

I hope you all had an excellent weekend and are prepared for your last week on this challenge. I'm going to aim for an extra pound loss to make it down to 134 by September 3rd.

This coming weekend i'm going jeans shopping and i'm interested to see what size i've gotten down to. Right now i'm still wearing my size 9's held on by a belt.

Good luck to everyone this week!

Default monday one week left!

This is yesterday's post which somehow disappeared!

Hi all:

Today I say goodbye forever to Macy’s Woman!
I was in the Misses section and tried on two pair of size 16 pants--and they fit!!—its been a long time. My best girlfriend bought me a beautiful jacket to celebrate. This is a big deal for me, and an enormous milestone. I never thought I would say goodbye to the women’s section so soon. (My girlfriend and I call the women’s section “the gulag” because it is isolated in the top floor in a dark corner. There are no other clothing sections on this floor—it is housewares. There is never a sales assistant in the section. It seems really prejudiced.)

Anyway, here we are at the last week of our challenge. Since I have had a quite a few milestones this last week I thought maybe we could close with listing all of our milestones over the last 17 weeks=---sort of a way to reinforce all the good stuff that has happened.

Thanks to all for the kind thoughts and congrats!!

Elegant: you have done awesome--dont let people hassle you about your boobs! After all you have to lose from everywere other wise you would be out of proportion. 36C is plenty! I think our culture is obsessed with stereotypical ways that women are supposed to look--sheesh!

Have a great week all!

Sno

I can't believe Labor Day is so close! This challange seemed endless to me. On a happy note..I seem to be getting my exercise drive back. I hope it stays on through September when I hope to go into maintenance mode and lighten up on the intense cardio.

Hi to all you motivated and successful chicks.

Sno you're doing absolutely amazing!!! I have my laptop back and running in top form but can't say the same about my willpower. This last month has been alot of fun but boy am I paying the price for my over indulgence. 3 weeks of vacation is awesome but it's nice to be back to normal. I've gained a fair amount and I'm definately in for the next challenge. I'm not going to beat my self up about my slide just get right back into it.
Congratulations to all you big losers and keep up. I'll join you in the next challenge.

Cheers,

Nina

Hi everyone....sorry I've been totally MIA for the last couple of weeks. I fell off the wagon with my mom in town and have only lost one pound in like 3 weeks. I'm 204 today and I'm hoping that I'll be 203 by Monday, but that still leaves me 9 lbs short of my LD goal!

I would like to be in the New Year's challenge though...and to goal no later than my wedding day June 08. I know that is totally doable since I already lost 22 in like 14 weeks.

I think you're all fantastic and I hope to see some of you in the New Year's challenge!

Cheers, Tamara

I hope everybody's planning a wonderful Labor Day. I won't be going out of town, but I will be going to a couple of picnics. I'm going to try to hold the line. I broke tradition and weighed in yesterday for the August challenge, so I won't do it again until next Sunday. If I go a little over this weekend, the scale won't tell on me. Happy holiday, to all those who celebrate Labor Day!
