Default Can I join

Hi Ladies,

I am a 29 year old female, I just had my second child in Oct of last year and I am trying to get that baby weight off. I was 199 when I delivered and I am now 158 so I have been trying to get the weight off since delivery but the weight loss has slowed and I am still breastfeeding so I am not using a dramatic diet but I am eating healthy and exercising. I do need something to knock me back into shape and I really think this support on this board might be it. I just joined this evening to this site and I am looking forward to learning more about it.

If you all would have me here I would like to loose 30 lbs by May 6th! That would put me at 128 and I would be estatic!!!

Can't wait to get to know you ladies!!!

welcome GTL!

Cubb: Hope you are feeling better soon. How sweet of your hubby yup, it's WoW My guild is disbanding and joining a guild that does a lot of raiding Anyway, loads of drama right now.

The day went better than I expected. Drank twice my usual amount of water, did my stretches twice- in the morning and then again this eveing. I did have a few peanut m&ms that my hubby gave my daughter & she sweetly wanted to share

Sounds like everyone is doing well with their plans despite a whole slew of challenges! LOL Let's keep goin! Tomorrow, I won't get to the gym because I have drs apts for my girls. I'll have to take them to a park and do some walking there if it doesn't rain tomorrow. Have a good nite!

Good afternoon everybody! Hope everyone is doing well today. I have that pesky PRE-T.O.M that is totally hindering my scale from moving. (I always retain between 5-10 pound of water weight during this time) Ick! I guess I am lucky that the scale is only revealing two pounds of water weight. It usually is much much worse. Of course I will look like a beached whale by Saturday, when I have an important social engagement. That's the luck!

This TOM stuff is also giving me a slight case of body dysmoprhic disorder which is causing me to look into the mirror and see Frankenstein rather than all of my progress. It is the nature of PMS I guess. Doing my best to not let it get me down and using exercise - HARD exercise to combat the blues. Yesterday I did my TurboJam Cardio party remix and it was slightly on the brutal side. Between that and my Karen Voight, my calves are so tight I can barely walk. DH was laughing at me all day yesterday as I puttered around the house like an old man bereft of his zimmerframe LOL!

How is everyone?

Afternoon Chicks,

congrats to WBM5 and Mia
GTL sounds like your doing something right cause you've lost quite abit already. I lost all my weight while breastfeeding but very slowly.
It wasn't until my last child weened that I started to have weight issues.

JLN do tell abit about your plan.

WBM5 I love the save the children fund think I'll adopt this fund myself.

TOM must be going around cause PMS hit with a vengence yesterday. Seems the older I get the more I'm a slave to my hormones. Have had a few slips and gained significant water weight. Feel like I could eat everything in the house right now but am holding off. Doesn't help having a cold. i'll go read a health magazine usually gets me back on track.

Hope the knee is better Sno and your feeling better Cubb.

Default what i am doing...

well ladies I am breastfeeding and eating about 1500 - 1800 calories a day....I am also excercising daily on the ellliptical. trying to start up on my toning excercises too....i need it bad....

I think my weight loss from 199 - 170 (first month after kayden was born) was the water weight, baby loss weight....

From 170-158 has been pretty hard work! I have been trying to eat right and excercise during this loss...however, the holidays set me back a bit...thanksgiving, christmas, and I have a birthday jan 9th....

The scale said 156 this am. I hope it sticks!

how is everyone hanging in there?

Hey all, I am so excited, I weighed in today and lost 4 lbs since hittin the gym four days a week!!!! I been working out four days a week I am going to try and bump it up to 5 days a week next week as I feel myself getting stronger. Plus, I have been trying to control the portions that I am eating. This is a whole new concept to me and it is taking some getting used to, but I think that I can manage.

hello all .. been very down in the dumps for no reason ... cannot figure out why for sure but , I have gotten myself to read the post again ... I just feel like crying all the time and have a terrible feeling of doom and gloom..Yesterday I had a panic attack and it scared me to bits ..I took a pill for that and its helping ..I will have to keep looking and posting as it really seems to help me .. the weather has been bad ,with very high winds ,and that also scares me ... Iam trying to stay away from all the comfort food and asking the good lord for help along the way .. Its been a great help to know that no matter how alone we may feel God is always helping us get through our battles .... you are all doing great! I will let you know monday how I do ... I have been doing the 30 min excercise everyday ... and dont think I dont struggle with it whaaaaaaaaaaaa..... here's to being a big loser!!! Annie

Annie, I am feeling for you. I'm glad you are looking and posting everyday! I see you have been doing great at your weight lose. I look forward to progressing and it is encouraging to see others that have done so well. thanks!

Maybe if you listen to some fun music, like Hawaiian or salsa.

Look at seed catalogs and plan what you want to plant.

Walk around walmart (if you have one) and see that they are putting out lawn furniture and garden supplies.

If you keep feeling down you may want to talk to someone.

I hope I have helped!

Annie,

It sounds to me like you could be suffering from a clinical disorder called SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder). It is very easily treated with light therapy but it takes a special type of light so if you talk to your doctor he/she should be able to refer you to someone. If you try it, you may be amazed at the results.

It is very common and it occurs this time of year when there is not as much sunlight.
