Well scale says 212, so I'll take that. I know I could have done better, and I wil. I need to start the exercise, as soon as I get rid of the migraine, maybe exercise would help, I might just try. And no more days like Friday. Food does not help stress. Food does not help stress. My new mantra. Had a good day yesterday as far as eating goes.

Snow - I hope you win over the cold. Do whatever you have to, I don't want you to have to go through that again. I usually avoid nuts like the plague because they are a trigger. But they are unsure of the causes of my migraines so I was trying to get some extra protein in my diet, I don't usuallyl eat nuts, I am not fond of lentils, which leaves meat. I lose a lot of weight if I don't eat meat. So I am kind of in a bind here. I figured I would try the nuts but now I will stay away from them again.

Stop - I live out in the country and if you want to taste bad water come down here. My well water is so full of rust it is terrible. However my children drink it and my father-in-law would drink nothing else. If you drink enough water you will get used to it. If your tap water is awful, buy bottled water with nice fruity flavors.

Chaarli - it is really tough having the kids home. I am doing the happy dance that mine go back to school today. I hope you have a great holiday.

kate - try to put all that edgy energy to work for you. Do an extra workout, go for a walk, whatever it takes. Good luck on the new eating plan.

cubb - congrats on the skirt. Fitting into those clothes makes it all worth while.

annie - I hope you don't get sick. Nothing throws your system out of whack worse than coming down with something.

40 - I have my oldest trained to tidy up every now and then but the youngest two it is like pulling teeth just to get them to feed the dogs. But on the bright side in about 8 years they will all be happy productive adults, with their own houses that I can go visit, spill things on the floor, says whoops, throw and rug on it and walk away.

aka - way to go!!!!!

lux - that is a really good eating plan. It all starts with cutting stuff out and back. Way to go on the weight loss.

hockey - what a great weight loss. Congratulations.

Well, hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work I go. Hope you all have a great weigh in and a wonderful day.

Morning Chicks,

Just a quick post to tell about progress. Congrats to all loosers big and small. I'm right on track with a 1.8 pound loss and did the tape measure thing and I've trimmed off 3 inches overall so I'm quite happy with my first week of success.

Kudos to all,

Nina

Just a quick report from me, I had my official weigh-in, therefore I am officially down 5 lbs. Need to add more water and exercise in this week. I'd like to lose 2 lbs so I can be out of the 200's, a place I haven't been since I was pregnant.

The Keg went really really well, I think the fact that I was weighing in the next morning was a strong motivator. I had NO alcohol, zip, zero, nadda, no glass of wine nothing..just water!

I picked at a tiny little bit at the bread but had no butter, house salad with a tiny bit of dressing, the Pecan Sirloin with Goat's milk cheese was my indulgence and had a very little bit of the baked potato. Two bites of hubby's brownie and that was that!

My next challenge: Dinner with the girls at a Greek restaurant on Wednesday. Anyone know of some good healthy Greek choices?

Keep those awesome losses coming in.

Wow!! you all are doing fantastic ..congrats on the weight loss
Cub.... when you decide to have (A drink once in a while)Red Dry Wine) has no carbs and no sugar..and if they do its a trace only ..also its good for the heart... but as we all know ..alcohol breaks down our defences .So in that way its not good for me ..whaaaaaaaaaaaa and beside I have alcers

Here is how you post your numbers ..copy and paste all of the words you see with everyones weight.. then add your own number .. if you do not know how to copy and past ..this is what you do .. highlight all the words of the weight loss goals .. then right click and a box will come up then click copy... then when you get to the message box click the body of the message to make sure your curser is there then right click again ..and click paste ..hope this helps ...... Scale is at 209 this morning. Maybe it will stay down. I can hope. My eating was off a little yesterday afternoon and evening, but I cheated a little and then walked away. 3:00 pm looked like it was going to be rough but then I made a cup of coffee and switched to carrot sticks, instead of gorging myself on more nachos and cheese. Still have the migraine. I couldn't get ahold of my doctor, I will try again today. My boss is back today, groan and sigh, she has been gone for 3 weeks and the longer she has been gone the crankier she is when she gets back. And the weather has taken a down turn again. So much for global warming. Whoever thought that up needs to come to Manitoba this week. It is supposed to be brutal for the rest of the week. so my walk to work is not going to be fun.

Snow - that is great, 6 pounds gone!!!!! Hope your neck is feeling better soon.

40 - 3 inches!!!!!! Major victory!!!!!

Annie - great loss!!!! Way to go!!!

Cubb - 5 pounds and a keg victory!!!! Way to keep on track. You will have no problem on Wednesday.

obi - 5 pounds is great!!!

That is 26.5 pounds or more this week!!! Way to go chicks!!! The losses are mounting up. I didn't mark mine in but I need to lose a lot more before I can reallly consider the scale down. So we will see how this week goes. I am going to get some housework done before work, I love to do housework, I love to do housework. Hope you all have a great day.

Morning chicks,
Welcome ogibson, congrats mia, annie, and card.
Everyone is doing wonderful.
Hope your neck is better today sno.
Had a bit of an off day yesterday. I always seem to relax abit after weigh in and I actually am allowed to take a day off on my plan but hormones and age make it quite abit harder to loose now so don't want to relax to much. It's so hard to loose now and so easy to gain. Made it to the gym last night and did 45 mins of cardio and an upper body workout. Muscles are still sore but no longer killer sore.
My goals for today are to eat 4 light meals drink lots of water, go to physio for my bum knee and 45min suana. I have to start posting in the evening as it seems to keep me on track.

Today is going to be a busy day, which can either be really good for me, or really bad LOL I'm going to put some food in the crock pot so that I'll have some good food no matter how tired I am when I get home. Hopefully that will keep me on track

Hope you all have a great day!

Hi all:

Thanks for all the good wishes--my neck is much better today! I iced it a lot yesterday and put some cream on it before bed and I think that helps. Whew!

I am going back to my three days of calorie counting and four days of atkins--that seems to work for me. Being on one or the other for too long seems to stall. Also plan to get back to walking today--my knee is better too. I am going to have a splurge lunch either today or tomorrow. Weather here is so strange--one day really super cold--and the next hot. Not enough rain too.

The house is total mess and I must get motivated after I come home today--I have some appointments in town and then meeting my friend for lunch.

Luxor--congrats on the loss--hang in there with the busy day--I love having food ready when I come home--those crock pots can be awesome. Share any good recipes? I just do the old throw a pot roast in there with some dry onion soup mix and that is really good!

Nina-- I know what you mean about relaxing after weigh in--time to party! But it needs to be restrained otherwise the relaxing can go on too long And then the next weigh in is not so good!

Miafluker--good job on the two pounds!

Card--good job on the loss--you should mark it in because any loss is good! Hope you get some help with that migraine--it is going on too long.

Cubb--that is so great being so close to onederland--I know you can do it!

Kim--great job on the week--7 lbs!

Have a great day everyone and enjoy being on track to our goals!
