Well, hello everyone! Chatty bunch aren't we?! lol

I am having an excellent day 1! I did a hard 30 minute walk/run this morning on the treadmill and also a half hour walk to pick up the kids from school this afternoon. I also still have my cleaning job tonight which is definitely a cardio workout too! I've also had my 5 fruit and veggie servings, no treats etc...
I'm taking it one day at a time as well...I must admit I'm pretty tired right now- and hungry. I have chicken enchiladas in the oven almost ready.
I'm really trying hard not to snack (well, besides diet coke, lol)-- I did have a glass of milk this afternoon to try to tide me over. It's a long time between lunch and dinner!
I think it's great everyone is so excited and chatty! Keep it up! (though I'm sure I will always be behind on the reading )
have a great night!

It's hard to keep up the first few weeks. I'd forgotten about that from last challenge!

Well we just got Exercise TV on our cable On Demand channel and there is one Bob workout and one Jillian workout. The Bob workout is cardio and the Jillian is strength. I can do the Jillian - no problem. THE BOB WORKOUT KICKS MY BUTT. Wow. I can only do about 12 minutes before I'm wiped out! I guess this gives me a short term goal: FINISH THE BOB WORKOUT!

Ok, I'll join in here...

Foods I need to have around the house:
single servings of cheese (1 ounce sticks of cheddar, or light babybel)
frozen chicken breasts
frozen veggies, especially broccoli
tomato sauce
yogurt
fiber one bars
skim milk
coffees & teas
medium salsa

My goal for the challenge:
I know these first 2 weeks will be rough, but I'm hoping I can catch up and average out to a 1lb loss per week, for a total of 15 pounds.

WOW!! I too forgot how chatty the first couple of weeks are, let alone the first couple of days!!

Mel ~ Yeah, I can't believe how quickly the 5k is coming up. CRAAAAZY!

I also love the idea of wearing red or the red bracelet. I may have to go buy beads to make a red bracelet. I hate wearing red workout clothes because I have a white sports bra! I have an orange sports bra that I wear under the white one (the more efficient one) when I run and that bleeds onto the white one, can just imagine wearing red!!

My goals for the "Just Beachy" Challenge:
  • 25 pounds gone
  • 60-80 oz of water per day
  • workout 5-6 days per week
  • eat 1300-1700 calories per day
  • post daily

Must have foods around the house:
  • Yogurt
  • Almonds
  • Gum
  • Protein Bars
  • Carrots
  • Fresh fruit ~ any
  • Bottled Water

I went to my Zumba class tonight and wasn't feeling it. I started to get a headache and really wanted to leave early, HOWEVER, my Zumba instructor had on a red bandana and red pants. I just had to stay for my team! I think the wearing red is really going to help me keep up with the exercise!

Still on plan, but haven't counted the calories yet lol...I hate that part of the food journal. Too much work (when I cook and have to do the research as to how many calories each ingredient is).

15 pages in 24 hours wow!

We had someone from PTA bring us dinner tonight (I live in such an amazing community) they brought burgers, potato salad, baked beans and salad. The burgers were enough! OMG I'm so stuffed! No need for extras. I'd say I stayed pretty OP today! I cant think of anything I had that I shouldnt have. Watched my portions, got some exercise and lots of water...yay me!! Day one a success!

Holy moly, I need to eat dessert or something haha. Calories are at 995 after dinner. That's what happens when I cut out soda and junk food snacks, wow. But not enough calories considering I burned over 500 today. Off to have some sorbet I guess and not feel too guilty about it!

Okay, you guys are adding pages faster than I can keep up!!!

I can tell at this point I will never be able to keep up with personals but I like "getting to know" all of you through your posts -- I can tell already we are a great group!!

Looking for a read bracelet tomorrow -- maybe one with some kind of elastic to it so I can snap it to get me back on track when I stray!!

I'm so pumped about this challenge! I guess I should post my challenge goals.
- Lose 25lbs.
- Be able to run 2 miles
- Wear a size 10-12
Does that sound reasonable?

Oooh the garlic bologna sounds yummo!! And yes your goals sound reasonable.
