Well the weekend is scooting right along and will be here soon again. I've been staying busy with work and walking. Meal portions are getting better, but could still improve at times.
I think I am doing pretty good this week. Yesterday I made tomato sauce from the tomatoes in my garden. For supper I had spaghetti and a big salad instead of the usual bread and butter. I also cut out my snacking when I watch TV at night. I'm drinking water when I feel the urge to eat and it seems to curb my hunger pangs. We can do this!
Corinna - I wish I was as motivated as you are to get regular exercise. Portion control is an issue with me too, and I am trying hard to talk myself into stopping when I am no longer hungry, instead of when I am full.
Renee - Awesome weight loss, drinking water helps me with the snacking too.
Mary - Welcome and congrats on the loss. I am pretty new too, and it is so nice to have the support and understanding.
This past week has been a rough one for me, and I ate to cope - there went the plan out the window. I did manage to turn myself around and drop the 4 lbs. I gained though, so I am now back on track and ready to forge onward and downward.
Yay!!!!! Down 2 lbs. this morning! I think I found the answer ....limit my between meal snacking and no eating after supper. Today I'm planting late season swiss chard and freezing peppers. Have a great weekend everyone!
Yeah Renee and Jude! You ladies are losing the weight and moving towards your goal. That's great. Keep at it. Don't give in now when your doing so good! Hang in there Jude.
Mary and Kris- I hope you have some good news to share this week too.
Well, for me, I didn't lose any weight this week. So its time for some drastic changes. Now I decided to try skipping supper each night instead. Tonight is my first night, and so far so good. Just drinking lots of water. I will do this!
Corinna, maybe you shouldn't skip supper...sometimes eating too little causes your body to go into starvation mode. You should eat something. Maybe a salad with a bit of protein to keep your metabolism going. You can do this.....
Nice day today. Went for a walk this morning and evening. Breakfast was a vitamin shake. Lunch a grilled cheese, onion, and tomato sandwich. Supper was curried cauliflower with some raisin bread, and a spoon of peanut butter.
Good morning! We are having beautiful weather here...lots to do outside. We will be baling hay tomorrow. Today I have frying peppers to freeze and other veggies to pick. I have a couple of horses I'm training to drive, so I will be working with them also. Always something to do here on the farm. Supper will be hamburgers on the grill with potato salad and baked beans. Have a great week everyone and watch those portions
Sure has been quiet here...where is everyone????? I did ok this week ...down 1/2 lb. Guess that's better than nothing Please check in when you can. I miss the daily updates!
Hi all, well I didn't lose at all this week, but didn't gain either, which is a bit of a surprise as I was way off track - again. Today I am feeling much more positive and determined to get this done, hopefully this feeling lasts.
Renee - I think any loss is a move in the right direction, good for you
Corrina - I think Renee is right about not skipping meals, maybe try eating a very smaller meal than what you would normally have
Good job Renee! Every little bit counts, even small amounts in the right direction. You are doing terrific!!
Jude-your still hanging in there. Good for you. We're both at the same place this week, not budging up or down. However, not gaining any extra weight is still a good thing.
I decided not to skip the meals. I will just have to ensure my portions are more realistic for dieting this week. Hope you all have a nice week! Yes, and I will try to do a better job about daily postings too. Thanks Renee for keeping me on track.
