  • Good morning everyone! Hope you all are staying focused on your healthy diet. I seem to be doing ok this week....trying to make good food choices and getting some exercise. Hopefully the scale will agree with me on my Saturday weigh-in.

    Jollyjude...I will keep your daughter in my thoughts and prayers. What a wonderful gift for her friends.
  • Hi Jude-What a precious gift your daughter is giving! I hope it all works out well for everyone. Sounds like giving comes just natural to your family too. I bet your friends will be glad to get raspberry jam or pies from you. Regarding the scale, Renee and I have been sharing our loss or gain on a weekly basis with each other. You are welcome to join in too.

    Renee-glad to hear that you have been doing good this week. I hope it pays off for you this weekend. I am keeping my fingers crossed. Keep at it.

    I've been doing ok. I just had a friend move away this week. Very sad. I am trying not to turn to food too much for comfort. It is easy to turn to food, but hard to fight the urge to eat. I am just staying busy to keep away from the food.
  • Hi Ladies! Well for weigh-in I stayed the same this week. Guess that is better than gaining my weight back. I walked a few hours this morning, and tomorrow morning I will be walking again for a few hours, so I hope to see the scale go down a bit more next week.
  • Doing the happy dance here...down 3.2 lbs this week Cutting back on my between meal snacks seemed to do the trick. Hope everyone has a wonderful week and stay focused on your health!

  • I hope its not too late to join in but I found this post just joined yesterday. Congraduations on the lose I am doing the 1500 calorie diet did loose .6 pounds since yesterday need to add more to it. I will be in touch on a daily to see how everyone is doing. This is a great new years resoluation.

  • Welcome Mary...glad to have you join in! I find it better to weigh just once a week. I try to eat smaller portions and make better food choices. My downfall is snacking on the wrong things between meals. Now, I try to grab fruit for my snacks and it seems to be working......
  • Welcome Mary! Glad to have you join the group. Congratulations to you on your weight loss too. Every little bit adds up, and when it is all gone, there will be a new you to see in the mirror, and for others to see too. Keep at it.

  • Hi Ladies! Are you enjoying your summer days? Have you been getting out there and exercising and toning up that body that is slowly losing weight? As the weight drops, the skin flops, so it is important to tighten it back up a little too. Speaking from experience of course.

    Had some good black cherries today. They were delicious. They satisfied my cravings just right. Cool and sweet.

  • I love cherries! They are just getting ripe here and I need to get some.....Yesterday I froze 6 dozen sweet corn. It's a bit of work, but will taste good when the snow starts to fly. Been doing stringbeans and the tomatoes are starting to ripen. I make and freeze sauce with them. I love all the veggies of summer
    I think my whole body is falling South. everything is starting to sag!!!!!
  • I just have to share I have lost a total of 3.2 pounds since Saturday just another 22 pounds for my 25 pound goals. Congraduations on the loss Renee.

  • Way to go Mary!!! Your doing great. Keep it up and you will be there quicker than you think. That is wonderful. Renee and you are both zooming right along in the right direction. I need to hope on the slim express train too.

    Renee-all those veggies sound wonderful. You are truly lucky to be able to grow your own garden and have a good harvest. Sounds like you are very experienced at it all too.

    Sagging, lol, I hope it is all for the right reasons like losing weight and not growing older.
