Today was a pretty good day diet wise. I do have the munchies tonight though. Hope to battle them as best as I can. So far so good. Not much in the house to munch on so that helps too.
Hello All - I am back on IP after regaining 20lbs of the 20lb I lost in spring of 2012. I have tried to restart a few times but I am committed this time and besides I have no clothes that fit me and I refuse to buy larger sizes. I love IP and it worked great for me before so I am all in. I was going to sign up for an intense boot camp but am having second thoughts as I don't want excerise to slow down my loss and not sure if I would have the engery....it is a $250 investment so don't want to start if I can't finish. Thoughts anyone?
Hi there Island Girl....I'm not familiar with the IP diet. I mostly try to eat healthy and watch my portion size. We weigh in here on Saturdays.....glad to have you join our little group. Post when you can and good luck with your diet. You can do it!!!!
This is my range too, I'm not 50, but I just feel relieved to see there are others who are out to lose 30ish pounds. I was feeling kind of like I didn't belong because it seemed everyone else was losing so much more weight, like 50 or 100lbs.
Welcome, MauiKai...glad to see you here Looks like you are on the right track...you've lost almost 20 lbs. already. Do you have any secrets to share????
Welcome PEIslandGirl and MauiKai! Glad to have you join this site and look forward to sharing and helping each other to reach our weight goals.
I have not heard of the IP diet either. I would like to hear some more details about it. Perhaps it would help others that use this site too.
My weigh-in for today is the same. So no weight gained, which is good meaning that I maintained my weight loss. I hope to gain some success this week with a loss of a pound or two.
I did ok this week...down 1.2 lbs. I'm really trying hard to do this. I seem to be not so hungry between meals. Does your stomach shrink when you limit your portion size? I seem to be fuller faster. Hope everyone has a wonderful week!
Had a nice ten day trip with daughter and 3 yr old granddaughter, but my oh my did i EVER make bad food choices. It seems really hard when you always have someone that means well (daughter is a trained chef), but can't understand that I only want to eat what I want to eat!! Then I feel guilty and start eating just a little bit of what I know I shouldn't be eating (you name it!!), and all of a sudden I am eating everything in sight. Whew, glad I got that off my chest, and sorry for the rant. Soo... I weighed when I got home and am UP 7 POUNDS! I am so mad at myself, but am feeling confident that I can get back on track, and hoping by next saturday I will have lost most if not all of it.
I really don't know if it is possible to really gain that much in 9 days??
Corinna and Renee - sounds like you have had your ups and downs, but more ups and no gains, so good for you!!!
IslandGirl and MauiKai - Welcome, and I really am not always this grumpy. I know that I really appreciate so much the understanding and support I have found here
Take care all, and here's to a good week!
Jude
ps - I am NOT going to update my ticker until next Saturday's weighin
Hi Jude, we missed you here. Glad you had a nice vacation. Families just want you to be happy. They just love you, and want you to know they accept you for who you are. That's a good family.
Now your back home, so now you get to deal with us......your on-line weight buddies. We accept you too for who you are, but we know you can be something better for you and your family. We want to help you get there and we want your support to help us reach our goals too.
Don't be so hard on yourself. We know exactly what it is like. Now it is time to get back on track and get the scale numbers to drop back down again. You can do it!!! We all can do it!!! Let's work on this together to see those thinner, slimmer bodies bloom from out of all those pleasantly plump stalks Let's get slimmer to be a winner!!!!
Renee and Corinna - Thank you so much for your words of encouragement and support.
It helps so much to know that others can relate to what you are going through.
I am back on track this week, and finding it fairly easy to stay there. Could be because I have just finished midnight shifts, and sleeping during the day and working all night doesn't give you much time for stuffing yourself - haha.
I know I shouldn't have, but my scale was glaring at me, so I weighed today, and have lost 3 of the 7 lbs. I gained, so I am hoping to be down some more by Saturday.
