I did a strenuous hike, less than 3 miles but over 400 ft rise in elevation in less than 1/4 mile. I approximate that portion at around 30% grade. The total time was about 100 minutes. Plus last night I did 20 minutes of yoga and 15 minutes of yoga this morning. So that is 135 minutes total.
Personal total: 510 + 135 = 645 Group total: 12,708 + 135 = 12843
Wow. SO much to catch up on! I'm still out of town but have a quick chance to post... I've got 99 min over the past 3 days (gym, walking, swimming).
Norma -- Just to add to what Misti said -- This thread started because I DID NOT want to exercise and was trying to find a way to motivate myself (and then Valerie asked to join). I am NOT a super jock but have slowly increased my exercise over time!

We are going to break a record, for sure -- I thin kour biggest month so far was just over 16K!!
I am so excited I don't exercise on Sunday but we are in Ohio visiting the new grandbaby staying in hotel so just did 60 minutes of jogging in the pool.

Thanks to a message from Suzanne3fc on advice to check out Consurmer Reports. She even provided the link! I will need to study on that.
Good news. I found the bolt missing from my stationary bike so now I can get back on it and I bought the "Walk Away The Pounds" dvd, so I'm back.
Got in a 2nd walk tonight!! 32 minutes this time! EDITED TO ADD: Got in 40 minutes of strength training too - totally killed my upperbody, woo woo!! (Or as Lester Burnham would say "I'm going to wail on my pecs, and then I'm going to do my back" DH and I love that scene. ) New totals are:

This thread is the *best* thing for getting me to actually keep my exercise committment. Weighed in this morning and have sweated off another 3.6 pounds! Then I got up and did 60 minutes -- TurboJam 20 minute cardio and 40 minutes doing TurboJam Turbo Sculpt.
