Sue -- Yes, I've done that too in a mall! I'm with you about the intentional minutes. Speaking of which, I got in another short walk with the dogs... 12 min. I'm not really feeling like it's a workout for me, but I will continue to count it for the forseeable future, as it gives me that intentionality, which I need right now.

intentionally went to a big store and walked all around the edges of it inside and also at times up and down the frozen food/cooler aisles.
I sometimes go up to the mall for NO reason just to walk around it, LOL, I can get it (fast) window shopping as I'm walking through, and get my walking time in! But now I usually walk home afterwards - 2 miles. Woo Hoo! But if it's a continuous walk, mall walking can be a great way to get some exercise in while staying out of the heat!

Hi Ladies - Got in a 13 minute walk tonight, then did 20 minutes strength training, and 5 minutes of yoga/stretching. So for the 2nd half of the day that's 38 minutes for me. New totals are:
Personal Total: 477 + 38 = 515/310 - 205 minutes past my goal.
Wow, we are really cranking this month! Way to go!!!! 100,000 here we come! Heather, I forgot... when do you leave? Can we make it before you go?
As for walking, a lot of my time is in 10 minute increments, since I walk on both my breaks at work. I also do about 35-40 minutes of my lunch hour usually, but I do count the 10 minute times as well... anything that registers on my ped as aerobic, I count.

I decided to have a couple of 'rest' days because I was unusually tired on Sunday. So I haven't used any equipment yesterday and today. Yesterday I did 20 mins of aerobics with the kids and today I did 20 mins of laps of the oval with the kids and a 10 min walk home from work.
Personal Goal... 910 - 50 = 860 mins left of August's goal of 1200
