Nought but 5 minutes of back exercises this morning, but I'm going to count it. Tomorrow my goal is to change my schedule and actually ACCOMPLISH exercising in the afternoon, since that will have to be my schedule when classes begin on Aug. 21.
I managed a 60 minute walk today. It's hard on my knees but I don't hurt or feel sore after walking. For those with treadmills: do you recommend them?
I'm considering checking them out. What should I look for? Group total: 10,338 + 60 = 10,398
I took a day off... having foot pain and feeling the need for a break. Too bad, as it was a cool cloudy day with super fine mist of rain part of the time... perfect! But I can tell when my body needs a break, and it did.
Bit of a mixed up day today. 20 mins of treadmill (hair wash day), 10 min walk to work (didn't walk home as I had to get a blood test after work), 20 mins of laps of oval with the kids (I actually SPRINTED a few times, briefly. It felt SO good... I am not sure I have EVER sprinted. I wasn't even a runner as a kid) and 30 mins on the exercise bike. Making 80 mins for the day.
Personal Goal... 740 - 80 = 660 mins left of August's goal of 1200
Yesterday was just super exercise time for me, I had already accounted for my morning exercise yesterday but I had 70 minutes more later on in the day! I did 30 minutes of cardio kickboxing after work, then I did 40 minutes of yoga before bed. This morning, I did 15 minutes of yoga. So I'm adding 85 minutes to the count.
Personal count: 290 + 85 = 375 Group total: 10,567 + 85 = 10,652
Nelie, I goofed. We should ignore my calculation entirely. I have a piece of paper here where I scribble my calculations and I posted the wrong one. Forgive me for being such a dope and thanks for fixing things. I promise to pay better attention in the future!
And now, I have just returned from an hour at the gym so let me see if I can successfully add 60 minutes to the group total.
I did it! I stopped in the middle of everything and went and exercised in the late afternoon. Lame to get excited, I know, but changing my schedule is a real challenge for me. 26 minutes (15 on the bike, 7 walking outside since it was cool enough, and 4 doing back exercises). We're not to the middle of the month yet, so I don't feel too bad about not being halfway to my goal, but I wish I were closer.
I did 30 minutes on the ellptical tonight. I might also do some weight stuff since I missed it yesterday. Otherwise I will do it tomorrow. My total is now 495.
