  • Thanks Wyllenn for the info. I thought I was being too lazy for less than 30minutes. I start on my stationary bike and go for 10 to 15 minutes, not to fast but steady. I move to the gazelle and I can only last about 10 minutes. I have a little trampoline about 4 Ft wide for exercise and I can bounce to music another 10 minutes and wind down on the stationary bike for 5 to 10 minutes. These times are flexible and are based on how I'm doing on each one as to how long I last. This way I don't use the same muscles the entire time and I'm don't get as tired as quickly. I'm feeling good about it. I have some oldie but goody jazzercise videos but I'm too embarassed to do them in front of my grandkids who I babysit weekdays. They are only 9, 9, 10 and I don't what them to see grandma's fat flying around the room scaring them to death. It might stunt their growth. I would even hate to see me doing it in the mirror. Isn't that oughful? How could a person let themselves get so fat that they are too embarassed to exercise, especially in front of loved ones? How did I let myself get this way? I don't know, but I do know that with the help of you great ladies (&men) I won't be fat anymore! This is the last diet I will ever go on. It's coming off and staying off, "So Help Me God"!
  • HarkeyValley, I know what you mean about having anyone see me exercise - YIKES! I still don't exercise in front of DH. It's a great step forward for me to have gotten in the motel pool today, for the first time in 15, 20, 25 ??? years!!

    YES! I WENT SWIMMING!!! and I'm going to take credit as exercise because I made a point of moving the whole time. It was DEVINE!!

    I did 30 min. yesterday (all low intensity) and 25 today (15 of those on the ex. bike, where I'm trying to build up from only 10 min/day).

    Know what you ladies mean about the swimming in public want to be able to do it so bad without feeling horrible about myself.
  • Hi Ladies - Got in a 31 minute walk...in SUPER HOT temps...it was around 90...ugh!! Back later with any additonal exercise!

    Personal Total: 261 + 31 = 292/310 - 18 minutes to go!

  • okay, friday's exercise was 1 hr. cleaning house and 20 min. on treadmill. today so far, is 33 min. elliptical and 12 min. bike. so total today and yesterday is 125 min.

  • Did another 10 mins on the exercise bike for a total of 404 minutes for August. Goal is 1500 so another 1096 to go. I will probably "up" my goal if we don't get any more waves of that super hot weather when I just could not do as much.

  • just did 3 mile WATP tape and 20 min. abs, weights and stretching. so total of 65 min.

    3649+65=3714
  • 30 minutes at the gym plus a 45 minute walk = 75 for today

    Group: 3358 plus my 75 = 3433

  • Hi Ladies - Got in another walk....52 minutes this time!!! Still gotta go upper body weights later, so we will see what happens. So, the minutes are:

    Personal Total: 292 + 52 = 344/310 - 34 minutes PAST my goal!
    (I seem to have underestimated myself - for once!! )

  • We have a lot of new people who aren't familiar with things around here, and we are having problems picking up each others totals. If no one else has posted since you discovered your mistake, you can edit the post to fix it! Don't worry -- we ALL make mistakes!

    So, to make it easier, please use the format:
    Group total <old> + <your minutes> = <new total>

    And please make it stand out on a line

    So, starting back with nicole's minutes: 3714 minutes


    Group total 3714 + 75 (celery) + 52 (Vilandra) = 3841 minutes!

  • wyllenn - Is multiple posts a day confusing? As in, if I exercise once in the morning and once and night and post them seperatly at the time I do the minutes is that okay? Or would you rather me add up throughout the day and post once? TIA!

    Hi Ladies - Whoops, yeah, looks like things got a bit confusing back there, at least we're back on track now; thanks for fixing that wyllenn! Okay, I'm insane.....adding on another 27 minutes for my strength training I did - man I just burned that session!! WOO HOO!! So for Saturday I had a total of 110 minutes!! (83 minutes walking, 27 minutes of weights!!) So, new totals:

    Personal Total: 344 + 27 = 371/310 - 61 minutes PAST my goal!


    Group Total: 3861 + 27 = 3888
