  • Quilie.. you can have pasta on Mcdougall, so ima lil confused when you say you arnt supposed to have it. Do you mean non-wheat?
  • I thought McDougall was a vegan thing but there's a few recipes on his site that have honey, what's up with that!


    I've eaten way too many potatoes today!
  • Yeah it is pretty much all vegan except honey. His diet is for all health reasons and not partcularly for animals, so since honey is healthy it stayed on the list, if you do not eat honey you can have agave nectar.

  • You can have pasta and bread (whole wheat) on the 12 day program (the regular program) but not on MWL! On MWL all flour products are avoided because they increase absorption and slow weight loss. Plus McD always says it is too easy to eat too much pasta or bread, but not rice or potatoes.

  • hmm I have the max weight loss and reg book, and lots of the recipes have pasta or rice in it, so i eat pasta.
  • I don't know anything about the mcdougall diet, but I'm a big fan of agave nectar! =)

    I haven't been around for awhile, been bumming around my parents' place without internet but now I am back home and back to work and classes. (With mixed feelings about that!)

    My roommate got a wii fit and it says I weigh 134... it's very forgiving! I am trying to get back into an exercise routine but often find myself so tired and lazy that I just blow it off. I should take it more seriously, though, so maybe I can finally fit back into my old jeans in a few months!

  • Good Morning everyone. Hopefully you had a nice weekend, it was hard to resist wanting to eat bad yesterday when there was so many snacks due to Superbowl, but I did! I have to wake up at 4-4:30am now that I'm in Colorado (crazy) I'm looking forward to being in Cali in my own apartment and waking up at 7am! lol That wont be until the last week of Feb though.

  • yesterday was just awful i dont know what my issue is it's like an out of body experience i can see myself binging but i cant seem to stop myself *sigh*
  • Haley... I go through the same things, when I'm doing good it's so awesome-and I can say no- but then all the sudden I go back down into the slump of bingeing.

    The only thing that seems to help *sometimes* is reading books about weight loss and dieting, or even articles.
  • the thing is normally when im on a binge im out somewhere with my daughter like pizza putt or the movies and i dont have access to anything and i even try and bring healthy snacks and i completely ignore them lol
  • I hope you guys did better than I did yesterday... The chips were one thing, but the game was distracting me so I overate and stuff.
    But I did go walk around the campus of the college I wanna go to in about a year. That was pretty fun. Although I definitely didn't walk enough to burn off that dip and such... Well, it's only Monday! Can't give up!
