Hey everybody!

I have a question for you all. What do you eat for breakfast? I eat steel cut oats every morning and I'm getting SO sick of it!

Another thing I eat sometimes is a slice of tofu (covered in spices and nutritional yeast and cooked) on a piece of toast.

What else can I eat? I'm really bored with my breakfast!

Other than that-I've made some really yummy stuff lately. I made calzones this weekend! They were really good! I've also been playing with tempeh, which is fun. What are you girls eating? How about you McDougallers? What's been your favorite meal, so far?

Breakfast ideas

Smoothie (I get a bag of frozen mixed berries-then add orange juice and a little sugar or stevia) really easy, sooo good.

Cereal (dry) or with soy, rice milk or "milk" of choice

Fruit Salad (slice up some fav. fruits and mix them in a bowl)

I did have vegan blueberry muffins one time, really good, not MCD friendly.

Otherwise I love checking out www.vegweb.com for any cooking ideas, here is trhe breakfast section:

I don't get tired of my oats I often have Greek yogurt with blueberries and a little granola for a morning snack, so sometimes I switch and have a larger portion of that for breakfast. It's more filling if I do that with Kashi GoLean instead, and use a larger amount.

On weekends, I fix eggs on Saturday morning, and usually pancakes with fruit topping on Sunday.

If I'm really lazy and have nothing in the fridge, I have toast with peanut butter.

I always have coffee with soymilk, so I get a little nutrition there too.

there was a sale on amy's burritos so I bought some of the bfast burritos to try.... haven't done so yet but I'll let you know what I think of them! Some are vegan, not sure if the breakfast ones are or not.

Otherwise for breakfast I usually have oatmeal with soy milk and sometimes take some fruit to go with me - whatever fruit is on sale that week, usually! Also I haven't done this recently, but toast or an english muffin with peanut butter is pretty fabulous!

I'm feeling very overwhelmed and panicky today - not to the point of an anxiety attack (at least not yet!) but I'm really stressing about work and school. Gotta keep pushing through, though!

I'm not a giant breakfast person. I absolutely LOVE Cinnamon Strudel frosted mini wheats with vanilla soy milk. Yummy! I like co-co wheat too, made with chocolate soy milk and extra cocoa. I'm so bad, I eat too much sugar, but it is so delicious!

Lots of breakfast ideas!

I'm reading a romance-comedy book I picked up at the library "Bet Me", by Jennifer Crusie. It is really cute, and the main character is curvy. It really makes you want to love every inch! So if any of you're into these types of books give it a try!

Thanks for the breakfast ideas! Lots of great ones! I'm going grocery shopping today, so I'll pick up some new stuff. I especially love the idea of smoothies and have been searching the internet for ideas. I think I'm going to pick up some cereal too, for mornings I'm in a hurry.

Haleygirl82, is that 1 cup boiled or dry oats, dry seems a whole lot to me? I'm a UK chick, and I'm not sure about all the US terms, I know a cup is 250ml.

Thanks Haleygirl82! If you can lose weight on that, I'll give it a shot.

Hey Jillnicole,
I live north of Colorado Springs (sort of near Monument, if you've ever heard of that). I'm about 60 miles from Denver, but I go up when I need a "city" fix. To me Colorado Springs is just a giant suburb. Kinda boring.
