i'm wondering.... is it possible to lose 30 lbs in 2 months? I know the healthy way is 2lbs per week.. but dont you lose faster the first few months?

I need to get my head and butt in gear.. we got some very competitive people around here....

Well My Ivy lost 20 pounds in a month. So anything is possible. But I think after the first month of losing weight that quickly, your body will naturally start hanging on to the weight (thinking its starving) making it harder to lose. I think losing 1-3 pounds weekly maybe slower but it is more consistent.

Oh I think the competitiveness of all of us is going to start coming out this week!

Ok...well, as of this morning, I'm at 261. That's more than what my current weight says, but 4 pounds less than I was on Sunday, so I'm excited. I ready to go on this now. The only bad thing is that I'm sick, so exercising and eating well are kinda out at the moment. The only stuff I can keep down at the moment is not on my good list. So, this week I'm mostly y'all's cheerleader.

So...rah, rah, and all that jazz...you can do it girls!!!

Hey Everyone 2nd post for today .

Kiwi and Tanya this site sure has a lot of new "posters" WOW To you all.

I would like to wish everyone the best at this challenge and remember the important thing is that we lose weight and get healthier. So I think Kiwi and Tanya are correct in saying that we need to be honest and work hard 'cause you know that we will all be winners for losing weight.

I had a pretty good day today hope you all did too.

ugh. another second post of the day. totally binged today after work. not my worst binge ever, but pretty bad. I totally suck! I hate feeling sick as well. It takes down all of my defenses. I think I'm letting myself get down because I didn't start feeling sick until after I started this diet thing again. URGH!!!!

tomorrow's another day though. I'm taking a friend to Red Lobster for her birthday, so I'm not going to have much of anything throughout the day to make up for it (and tonight).

Whoa Missindy!!! Lets rethink your plan. If you deprive yourself all day you will have a binge feast. You must take into consideration your weight and calorie intake. You can't be expected to be over 200 pounds and only eating enough for a 150 pound women. At 260 your DAILY calorie intake should be 1800 calories a day.

So, for today try eating 3 pc. Bacon and 2 eggs for breakfast no bread or grilts, etc. Make lunch a salad of some kind, chicken etc. Then when you go to RL, (my favorite restaurant) try the shirmp, not fried, plus a salad. Tell them to leave off the potato,Drink Water and squeeze lemon into it. Or Diet Drink. As far as the bread. Just have 1. NO MORE. That is your dessert.

As far as exercise? Do the "Danni Marie Couch Potato" exercises. While sitting on the couch, watching TV whatever. Do leg lifts. Flap your arms. The idea is to get you moving. Do it while watching tv. that way the time goes by quicker.

We are all different and we are all struggling in different ways. But its always the first steps that make things sooooo hard. We are here to help you take the first steps. And as you get through it you will be helping someone else.

That's what this group is about You can do it!!

wow. it really means a lot that you put all that thought into a plan for me. The day is actually going well. Ionly got 4 hours of sleep last night, but I feel good. I got up and ran this morning and had some cottage cheese for breakfast. I had a mcchicken for lunch because it's my roommate's turn to buy the necesseties and we're out. However, I had it w/o the mayo (and lettuce cause that's gross) and I only ate the chicken. Honestly, I haven't been hungry, and I'm very much looking forward to tonight.

But, thank you for all your help. I'll think of you while I eat my shrimp.

I have a small side note. How can you drink water with lemon? Our water is pretty nasty here, but adding lemon just tastes like extremely, extrememly watered down koolaid. I've always wondered how people like that. oh well.

missindy have you ever tried " Splenda " is a noncalorie sweetener. I discovered that through my doctor. It's made from sugar and taste just as sweet without the calories and without being sugar. It's a lot to explain but
it comes in powdered form and in granulated form. It's the best sweetenter I've tried out there... I can't honestly tell the difference. Its great for juices and baking and whatever things you need sugar for.

I still haven't exercised cause my foot is still hurting. The soonest I can go will be Sunday night.

What do you guys do when you're at the gym? I've been given a program to do 30 min of cardio... I prefer the treadmill because the elliptical training literally KILLS me and then do some weight training. ASide from that I walk about 1 hour early in the morning. It just sorta depressed me because before.. I'd do this routine I'd trim down in lbs so fast but I have been doing this for about 2 weeks now and there isn't ANY less poundage on me. My sister says that my legs look smaller but I can't help but obssess about the scale.... I am watching what I eat as well. *sigh I just want to lose a few pounds to feel like my efforts are getting me somewhere.

Good Afternoon everyone.

Kiwi you are so right we are all different and we all struggle differently But we've all taken the first steps to trying to change those differences by starting to work out and eat right so I say to all of us.

Gordie I know how you feel about the watching the scale and not seeing it move I only saw it move yesterday after not seeing it move for 3 1/2 weeks so I know those feelings of trying to do what's right and not seeing any changes but hang in there one day without even thinking of it you'll get on the scale and see a huge difference if you ever need to vent were all hear to listen as of said before.

When I said that Kiwi was the ringleader what I meant was that she is the one that began this group which I'm so happy that I came across one night when I thought no one understood or felt the way I did. She supports and listens to all us. Well everyone does.

K. Ladies I'm off to visit my nieces my brother is at a wedding I hope I don't cheat Kiwi I'm going to the niece that loves the brownies.

talk to you all tomorrow.

Boy am i tired. We're having a fall festival at my house next week so we spent all day today cleaning the yard and house.

Looks like Missindy worked out her own stragedy,

Hi Gordie, is it morning there? I'm ready for bed and its not late here. Anyway, Gordie the results of your efforts will show up. My scales really bugged me because they have shown so little weight loss but actually I Was wearing an 18 tightly to 20 but i've lost 7 inches along with my 5 pounds and now I fit into a 18 loosely. But like you. I REALLY want to see the scales move.

Tanya, you are to sweet. I'm so glad you are apart of this group. Don't forget you know your neice is the devil. Be carefull You need to Get a myspace.

Scalewatcher, I'm really excited too about all of this.

Well, I'm going to do some exercise before calling it a night.

See ya later.

Kiwi

want2behealthy- I am so happy to hear that you finally dropped again. I am still waiting for my drop. I know it will happen if I stay on track. I am with you about finding this site. I have posted to other sites but I feel a special bond here. Thanks to you all for your support.

Gordie- Hang in there girl and don't give up, it maybe that you are gaining muscle and muscle weighs more than fat so eventually it will catch up and the scales will start to drop.

Missindy- That is what we call my youngest daughter. I hope you have a great time out and remember me when you eat the shrimp, I love shrimp.

Kiwi- What's up? Thanks for the concern over me and my GDD. She is doing much better already temp. is only 100.2 today. I have had a great day today and didn't go ocer my points and I got in my exercise and all my water.

I have to go to bed now and try to catch up on some of my sleep. I hope everyone has had a excellent day.

GOOD MORNING TO ALL Hope everyone has a wonderful day . I have to go and hit the exercise room and get the day going. I still didn't see a move on the scale but I am not giving up on it. My clothes are all hanging on me loosely and I had to punch a new hole in belt to keep my pants from falling down .

scalewatcher-yea about the pants fitting looser! That is very exciting. I've stayed the same for so long now, I've forgotten what it's like to have bigger clothes. Oh, and the shrimp was amazing. Totally worth it, and I had so much fun. I have a huge problem with self-esteem (I'm working on it, but in my head I'm just ugly) and my roomie made me dress up. I still felt gross, but maybe I felt a little better.

gordie-I usually do the bike when I go to the gym. I set it for 25 minutes because it adds in a 5 minute cooldown as well. I really need to go to the gym more. Lately, I've just been going to the track and I'm getting tired of it.

And to everyone else-have a great Sunday! I have to work all day and then do homework. I love being poor in college!!!
