2fru- Ughh...wedding planning...I was totally Bridezilla during all the planning and wedding stuff. I am not a very good planner, but it actually turned out fantastic. I told dh the next I get married I'll go to Vegas or something simpler...hehehe...just kidding. As for the low rise jeans...who is the idiot that thought that fat girls should even attempt to wear them??? Well, at least this fat girl, maybe some do ok with them.
HarleyMom- I think that you are doing fantastic making good choices. It's so hard to get into that emotional eating when life gets upsetting, but you are still rockin'. I am so proud of you!
I am actually doing ok this week. I've gotten up every morning to do the BL workout and I try to do a workout in the evenings too. I usually do the Gazelle or take a walk in the evenings. I've been keeping my calories around 1500-1600 and lost some of what I gained from the last 2 weekends.
Ugh. I just got back my lab results from getting my life insurance policy and my cholesterol level is 209, just over a normal range. I know it's not too high, but it's still high. Hubby and I talked, and we're going to make some permanent changes in our diets. Being fat sucks, but having health related problems is scary. I'm only 35, if I don't do something now then who knows what's going to happen 10 or 15 years down the road.
I'm off to the gym after work for a good cardio session. I have been doing cardio at home, but I can't see paying $27 a month to go to the gym 4 times (leg day ) Soooooo I'm going to go there at least 4 times a week.
Good job on the weight loss everyone!
2frustrated, if I have to wear mitts, then it's too darn cold for me to ride! Of course, I wouldn't have to take 5 months off if I toughened up a bit.
Well Chick the end of the week on to a fun weekend. All the Clubs from all over the US are coming in this weekend for Colorado's big Motorcycle Swap. It should be fun to see a lot of them. Hopefully we will have good weather this weekend. I am really tried out today. Looking forward to the weekend. Have a good one Chicks.
Kathy- I'm sorry to hear about your cholesterol, but it's good that you caught it before it was too outrageous. I need to have mine checked sometime soon, too.
Harley- Hope you had fun at the motorcycle swap!
Not much to say today. I had a great weekend and did good with sticking to plan. I had a few slips, but instead of a cheat day I had a cheat food. I just couldn't get myself out of bed this morning to workout so now I have to do it after work. I prefer doing it early so that its over and done with, but oh well.
I have returned...don't ask if I worked out while I was gone...
I did get a lot of walking in, as well a couple days of some serious stairs when we went to visit waterfalls in San Luis Potosi and a funky surrealist castle. I need to label my pics but I loaded most of them to here Beware - the slide show goes on for a while...there was also a graduation of my sister in law as well as a baptism of her son and her wedding...way to pack all the special moments into one trip, huh?
I put a few pounds on - so hard to get veggies and make good choices when all the choices seem like bad ones. It was super fun - but it's good to be home, too. I'll see what the scale says tomorrow before I change my ticker...maybe it's just too much salt? Yeah, I know, denial...
Back to the gym tomorrow....
Reb - so proud of you!!! You are kicking butt with the workouts!!!
2Fru - pink gloves - go get em, girl!!
Harleymom - how was the swap? Sounds like fun!
Kathy - I really like the gym - it's easier for me to focus on a workout when I go to a special place to do it. I'm hoping the New Years people are gone by now...purely selfish motives of course.
Boy I'm pooped! I was feeling ok when I got up! Must get a Pepsi or something!
The pink gloves didn't get a workout since I was teaching the class last night They'll come out tomorrow no doubt.
Doing very well with my very clean eating! Am actually starting to like salad and vegetables! Got a ton of fruit with me too! I had about 7 portions of fruit and veg yesterday!
Hi Chicks! Hat Chick Welcome back! Hope you had a great time!!!!!
The swap was fun this weekend, but stayed busy had to feed 80 hungry bikers on Saturday night. I had some help from some ladies, but anyone who has never feed a biker needs to understand that a 9 by 13 pan of food feeds two not twenty. Funny we had enough salad left to feed a hungry heard of pigs. I had to have dh go run and get pizza to fill those guys up. Next year I might just have a cater do the work and let everyone pitch in a few bucks. Gotta love those guys they are wonderful people and the best friends you could ever have.
Went to JC last night lost another 1 1/2 lbs. Slowly going down. Trying to stay on program through all this crazy times.
Stopped by a friends house with some mock invitations for her daughters wedding. Luckly she decided on the easy one and most inexpensive! We'll be doing them up in the next week or so. 200+ a lot of work but better than paying 2 to 3 dollars a piece for them.
2 Frus, I also have a pair of pink boxing gloves. Gotta love them Girl Power! Use them with pride. Kick some serious b*tt with them!
Well ladies have a great one and chat with you soon.
Gina- We're so glad to have to have you back. I will check out your slidshow when I get home. I'm glad that you had a great time. You could be up a few pounds due to sodium. Chug some water and see how it goes the next few days.
2fru- Pink boxing gloves...wow! That's so cool! I have been doing good on staying in my calorie range but I need to eat cleaner, like you.
Harley- Congrats on the loss! Sounds like your weekend was busy and fun. I have never cooked for that many people before...wow!
Well, I didn't exercise at all yesterday. I had to tutor after school and that makes me late, then took the pooch out for a walk...a very very short one, so it didn't count. Then had to pick up MIL from work and make dinner. Today my plan is to go home and do 2 BL workouts, then take a walk with Dh when he gets home. Oh, I've lost 1 pound. I need to change the ticker when I have time.
I like the Special Edition shows....but they go too fast...I was pretty disappointed in the Red Team mom...all that motivation and help and equipment....and next to no results.
80 hungry bikers - holy guacamole....but another 1 1/2 pounds
Hey Andrea - woot woot on one pound lost!!
2Fru - yay for clean eating...that's the way to get to goal!!
Hat Chick, I totally agree with you on BL specials, to fast. The red teams mom and daughter could have been a little more faithful on the program. 6 months with a 50,000 incentive should have put a fire under the b*tts. I would love to take a vacation like that. It looks like they have one more special episode and then we will have to wait for the 3rd year episodes. At least it gives us something between the time the new BL starts.
OK Chicks I have to admitt no super bowl for me, I am going to go scrap booking instead. I just can not pass up the opportunity to go. 6 hours of time to get things done. Gotta love it.
We were suppose to get snow but it showed up in the mountains where it belongs and stayed out of town so far. Went riding on Saturday, it was 32 degress and about lost all feeling to my finger tips. I have a very nice pair of insulated leather gloves, thick, they didn't help much. It was a good thing I only went 12 miles. Not much riding going on for now until it warms up here!
Well chicks have a wonderful weekend and Happy, Happy Friday! Stay on program this weekend. (I am about a 1/2 inch from fitting into these leather pants I own so I am working on getting into them in the next 2 weeks!)
Just found this thread and wonder if I can join you!
I am carrying about 40 lbs of unwanted fatty fat fat and have doing pretty well since January 3 with Sonoma & some Pilates....altho I have to admit that I hate exercise of any kind!!
HH (handsome husband) and I live in Central Florida and belong to our local HOG Chapter, who's motto is Eat to Ride...Ride to Eat....so packin' on the pounds has been toooo darn easy! I am doing well making good choices since the first of 2006, I'm happy to say!
I don't ride my own bike, but riding our 1999 Ultra Classic Lehman Trike conversion is one of the joys of our life. We recently rode with our local HOGS to Key West....a wonderful trip of about 850 miles. It's nice to be able to ride year-round!
