Anything bigger than an estate car should be banned! I watch all these SUVs and big Hummers and HUGE Ford Pick-ups driving round with ONE PERSON in them. I think anyone who's only transporting themselves should be made to ride a motorbike, then maybe we'd have a bit more oil for heating!

Good Morning everyone!

My Dh and I had the stomach flu and stayed home the last few days. Ughhh. Its funny, but I don't feel any thinner...in fact I feel even more bloated and yucky.

Star- Sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well either. I noticed that you aren't online right now, so hopefully you're at home sleeping. You are seriously dedicated to exercise when sick. I'm such a baby. I lay around and do NOTHING! I need to spend a few weeks with you and have some of that dedication rub off on me...LOL

Gina-I heard about Arnold...I can't believe he didn't have a license though. You're right, though. Those Hollywood types don't seem to feel that they have to follow the same rules as us common folks.

Kathy-I hope that you enjoyed your day all alone yesterday! I wish that I had mroe of an office job. I seriously need a change...

2fru- I agree about the SUVS. Maybe in some places in the world they're more practical, but here...not really...I'm sure they're not needed in Gina's area either. It's just the "in" thing.

Hi Harley!

I hope that you are all doing well and having a good week. I feel so out of touch with being away from the computer. LOL.

Does anyone know if the special edition of Biggest Loser is on tonight? I looked for it last night, but didn't see it listed.

Later, Y'all!

Hey Rebel - I'm back, I had to run to the post office for some 2 cent stamps

Sorry to hear you and DH are sick. I'm hoping my DH doesn't get it....he won't like missing the weekend ot, if he gets it......I came in late today, just couldn't rush in, had to take medicine and watch tv first (Texas Ranger) lol
I did no exercise yesterday, but plan on going back to Jazzercise tonight.

Yes, the Biggest Loser is on tonight and it is engaged couples. Should be really good. I'll be watching......from the easy chair with my blanket on. Geez hope I get better by tomorrow.....

About being sick and dieting. I don't think the two really go together. When I feel sick I could care less what or if I eat, which means usually I don't get enuf food in. But I don't really want to think about all that.
Hugs to all...

Great! I can't ever remember the new Biggest Loser times, days, and channel, but as long as I know its on Wednesday...I can look it up. I am really looking forward to this one tonight.

Yeah dieting and being sick don't work too well together.

I'm glad that you took your time getting into work...some days I do that, too. Life's too short. Why torture yourself? LOL.

Hi motochicks!

I JUST noticed the egg that tells if we're online! Biggest loser is on tonight...woohoo! I love that show, it gives me great motivation. And I'll be watching it after I go to the gym so I'll feel extra good .

2 cent stamps... I just bought 2 books of regular stamps friday.

Everyone is so sick! healthy vibes coming your way!

Rebel, office jobs aren't very condusive to losing weight. I sit and sit and sit, get up walk 20 steps to the bathroom, come back and sit and sit and sit. When the weather is nice I'm going to start walking at lunch time just so I don't get the metabolism of a slug. Maybe I'll just bulk up with tons of muscles- that'll burn the calories!

So I talked to my 13 yearl old son's school counselor and he's been hanging around some really crappy kids. His latest "girlfriend" is in a detention center now for violence (plus she's a permiscuous). So I'm going to sneak by the school today and try and see just what he's up to, it sure isn't homework - his GPA is 0.6. Really. He lives with his dad who doesn't lay down the law. Very frustrating.

Have a great afternoon everyone and get better!

Kathy

Biggest Loser Engaged couples special edition part 1 (whew) is on tonight - NBC at 9 PM!!!

Hummers - hate em...I don't see the point at all (unless maybe you are stationed in Baghdad)...as for SUV's - I can see the point if someone lives in a remote area or where there is a lot of snow, or has really big toys to haul around. I kinda doubt if most of the people who are out on the roads around here fit that scenario. I do enjoy puttting $3 into the tank of the scooter and mentioning it loudly "Oh - a whole $3 this time whooeee" as they fill up to the tune of $70-80...

Kathy - that's ruff having a kid that lives with someone else....kinda hard to control what happens. I think every good mom is an accomplished spy.

Star & Andrea (and DH) hope you are both feeling better....

Where's Harleymom hiding?

Kathy - Thanks for reminding me why my butt isn't my favorite body part - it's the sit down job - yuck....BUT your right, I get no exercise at work. The walk at lunch sounds like a great idea. It seems I always have errands to drive to at lunch time??? Now if I could just walk my errands....hum...
Good luck with the problem child. I wish I could tell you it gets better once they grow up and out,. BUT that hasn't really happened for DH and me. My kids, need my help, I give it, then ask one question and I'm butting in??????
I'm trying very hard as of the first of the year to put more distance between me and my kids. It is really really hard.....

I go out and run at lunch, you feel very smug when you come back in sweating and your colleagues are still slumped over the internet!

I'm actually doing some work today (along with searching for creatine info) so I don't feel such a schmuck for surfing!

Good Morning!

My spying attempt was a bust. I didn't find out my son's schedule and they got out of school early yesterday I'll have to wait until next week darn it!

I love the Biggest Loser! I can't wait for the second part next week. I did feel bad for the blue team not winning either prize though. Star, that must be hard to finally let the kids "go" . Chick, I have one son that lives with me and he gets straight A's, he's in the gifted and talented, well behaved etc. So having my other son not do good in school just pisses me off, because his dad isn't taking on the responsibilty of raising him.

Are you going to take creatine 2frustrated? I took it a while ago and it really helps with the muscle recovery after lifting and makes your muscles fuller looking. Just remember that if you do take it you need to expect to gain a few pounds because of the increased water weight. I was actually looking into buying some more for my hubby, but I forgot to get online last night.

Star, I have to MAKE myself get out of my chair during the day, if not I get sooooo tired and I don't want to go to the gym. So about 4:30 (I leave at 5:30) I get up at least every 10 minutes and walk around a bit.

Hi to everyone else!

Have a great day!
Kathy

I'm thinking about creatine, I'm not really sure yet. As you can see from my siggy, I am not weighing. For a long long long long time! But knowing me I'll cave and freak!

Good morning ladies!

The Biggest Loser was awesome last night! I was so disappointed that they didn't show the WHOLE episode! Oh well that gives me something to look forward to for next week. When will BL 3 start? Or will there be another Special Edition before then? I watched part of Celebrity FitClub last night, too. I told Dh that I was getting an extra dose of motivation watching my "fat" shows! Hehe. I would love to go on BL, but I would be such a sissy. First, about weighing in sports bras and that sort of thing and secondly because I am such an exercise weenie lately. Yesterday Dh wanted to go on a walk and I did, but secretly I was b**ching and moaning when we first stared, then I enjoyed it. I guess its because when I'm all geared for being he healthy he is the sabatoger saying things about wanting pizza or Blizzards from DQ. When he wants to be healthy than he thinks that I naturally have to be too. Which, of course, I should. Oh well. Also, last night I bought some really good ice cream bars which ended up being 170 cals a piece...I thought they were healthier than that. GRR. I ate 2 before I realized that. GRRR...but I still managed to stay at about 1800 cals for the day. So, not great, but not too bad.

I will have to come back and post responses later...for some reason my co-worker gets to take a SUPER long coffee break while I cover her student case load...

I too, love the Biggest Loser.....hate the blue girl - she is a weenie....
The real Biggest Loser starts, I think, on January 19th or something....
I would too love to be on one of those shows, but it would have to be the Fit Club cuz I'm not big enuf for the other one. I think they should start a new one for people 15 - 30 pounds overweight......Actually I'm not real far off from Kelly LaBrock on Celibrity Fit Club and we are close to the same height. Shes' just alittle heavier than me.....But boy oh boy, what's up with that guy from Taxi? He must be into some serious drugs. Anyone see that?

Andrea - I think there is another Special Edition after this one- Marines vs. Army? I couldn't find anything on NBC.com...but I could swear I read it somewhere.
Star - I've said it before andf I'll say it again...I wanna be just like 2Fru when I grow up...(even if she's younger than me )
2Fru - so are you going strictly by measurements now? I like your signature..
Kathy - at least you know it's not you causing the trouble with the kid who lives with Dad? It must be frustrating tho.
I drag coworkers on an almost daily walk at breaktime...there are three of us - so if one bails I still have one to drag along. It's more of a vent session than anything else- I just consider it bonus exercise.. desk jobs can quite literally be a PITA...
