Yeah there are some great roads. I am blessed to be about 20 minutes from the Santa Monicas and about 20-30 minutes from Angelest Crest (which i still haven't ridden...too trafficy, accidenty, and full of drama), and about 30 minutes from Ojai (dang why haven't i been riding???) I was thinking it would be cool to have a goal ride (not that riding isn't enough) like how the harley clubs do poker runs and stuff...I totally forgot to think about this LOL

doh! I totally forgot to watch Celebrity Fit Club.

Welcome Jasmin 71!!! Looks like you found us.... What a monster you ride... Does it go in the snow as well as mud? I can imagine you have plenty of snow in Michigan right now...unlike hottierockstar who has it even better than me weatherwise.

Hottierockstar - I think I saw some of that show (yesterday or Saturday) at the gym...I didn't know who a bunch of the stars were - but one of them was the middle Cosby daughter (Tempest?). It actually looked like a pretty entertaining show....what's up with the dude on pain killers? Someday I'll break down and get cable...join the 21st century...

Hopefully my bike will get fixed today....I'm tired of watching everyone else ride by all cold and shivering... I broke down and called someone who knows what the heck he's doing...which is rather embarrassing with something as simple as a 2 stroke engine. Hope everyone is having a great day!

I spent the weekend painting my bf's room. Luckily I like painting but now feel the need to paint the upstairs of my place (painted downstairs in May LOL)
I am jealous of ppl riding even if they are shivering too! I am jealous of ppl with muscles and the resolve to go to the gym. I dunno what the heck is wrong with me that I am just thinking and talking and not acting upon!
I did figure out that on average i am eating FAR too little. Which if i was eating enough maybe I would work out and ride eh? LOL

Chick I hope your bike gets roadworthy ASAP!

Hope all is well with all

Hey ladies!

Welcome Jasmin!

Had a pretty good weekend and it was great having today off work. I ate badly yesterday, no big surprise. LOL. Not much going on today...just tons of laundry. I have been looking for some accessories for the Softtail. I really want some larger passenger footpegs, a comfy seat, and we also need some saddlebags. I guess this is the time of the year to look for all that because riding season will be here shortly.

Hope you all are having a good Monday!

The sun is shining and I have to wait to ride....oh well. I'll be ready for spring...the electrical is pretty shot. It's off to get rewired...whodathunk that after 25 years it might corrode? Danged Italian machinery. At least I feel a little better at not being able to fix it myself. Electrical ain't my thing.

I even looked at DH's bike - but it's like a 650 and it makes me nervous. Plus it has been years since I've seen it run. I'm not that desperate.

Andrea - I've got some saddlebags I've been trying to get rid of for a while - or do you mean the kind you can put stuff in?

Hottie - are you journaling your calories in? It's annoying, but I highly recommend it...quite enlightening... For me - I have a really hard time being honest with myself about how much I've eaten...I have a crappy memory - maybe a little too much partying in my past

I was supposed to get soooo much done today....I spent most of it online...oh well....I got a lot of new recipes....time to go do something constructive...

You gotta love skwigg - check out the Bob link on the home page, now that I read every day! Andrea, you can have my saddlebags too if you want them!

I fixed my mirror yesterday - I ended up riding all the way to work with it pointing entirely the wrong way! Bikey fell over on Friday night and mashed in the mirror (well just loosened it really) and I forgot to get my spanners out till I got to work!

Morning ladies...I'm hiding from the boss for a bit...hehe... my other coworker shows up 10 mins late for work THEN takes 30 mins breakfast break before showing up to work with kids, so I decided to skip out too for awhile.

Gina and 2fru- Yeah, I wish it were that easy to get rid my saddlebags, too. Oh, and I will check out skwigg as soon as I post!

Jasmine- The quad sounds like a lot of fun. If we had more snow around here I'm sure my husband would want one too! I think that I saw a show about clubs that got together over weekends. It looked like fun!

I'll post more later...

Have a great morning everyone!

Oh, quads are fun anytime, right now I am just stuck with snow cause of winter. My favority time to ride is in the spring, when its muddy or in the summer when ya just jump in a river after a 12 hrs ride on the quad, wash up ,eat and ride till dark go back to the tent wash dirt of the quad and go to bed.

Hey everyone!

We all must be having busy weeks...not many posts. I need some advice from you girls...

I am really really frustrated with myself. I keep gaining and losing the same pounds b/c I blow it on the weekends. What is my dang problem? I am never really losing major weight and it gets very irritating. I need to stop the weekend binges, but I'm not really sure how to or even why I do badly. I do think that part of it has to do with Dh b/c he LOVES to go out to eat, but that's really no excuse for me. I can find healthy foods to eat, but I don't. I choose to eat badly. Any suggestions or butt kickings...I'm so mad at myself.

hey reb
i can completely relate. I guess the wisest thing I can say is make the *choice* to make healthy, goal-attaining choices and *if* you don't, don't beat up on yourself, just acknowledge and move forward.
I know for myself and a LOT of women that we mistakenly think that we can eat what "he" is eating, if he is eating it it must be ok...not usually. I think what i am really trying to say is make the shared experience the time/companionship and not the food. I guess you could call it eating detachment

(i am going out to dinner tonight with a group of friends and from what i hear this place has "bottomless" fries that they bring out like mexican places do chips... so i will be affirming/chanting in my head "good choices good choices" )
