Hi ladies!

I agree with the hoildays and work schedules that it just really makes for a busy week. Plus, we get to do all the "fun" (actually more like terrifying) crafts with the children. Imagine, a classroom full of little 6 year olds armed with frosting...

Diet-wise I am doing so much better this week. If I have my 3 meals and snacks planned...I can handle the treats. The fasting was not a great choice this time of the year, because I ended up totally blowing it. I even exercised for 20 mins on the Gazelle last night. Not much, but I'm trying to build myself up again.

I will probably be MIA over the weekend and parts of next week, but I will pop in when I can.

If some of you are busy and not having the chance to post...MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!! Have a safe and wonderful holiday!!

I'll post more tomorrow! YEAH...LAST DAY OF WORK tomorrow, too!!!

Hello! Yesterday's Christmas blow-out was reasonably restrained. I even left half my dessert! Yay! I made the day eating about 1800kcals in fitday!

Skipping my run today - buggered up my knee. Oh deep joy! Going to get some properly fitted running shoes on Saturday so I hope that will solve it!

Have a lovely Christmas too

Hi ladies! I was just cruising to my usual board when I saw this one.
I didn't actually read all 64 pages of messages ( ), but I thought I'd just say Way To Go!!

I've been riding on the back of bikes since I was 11 and fixing them since I was 19, but didn't actually learn to ride until I was 23 or so.

Currently I own a SuZuki GS500 (Yeah, I know, da-n crotch rocket...) but it was a gift from my hubby and it actually isn't half as bad as I thought it would be. It's really grown on me. It's a hybrid, so you're not laying across the top of it, and it's a smaller bike, so my short little 5'3" self can still reach the ground at stop lights.

My dream bike is an Indian. Every time I hear that the company is coming back I get all excited, and when it crashes yet again, I get all bummed out. Back to the classifieds for an older one.

Anyway, I just wanted to pop in a little note to say that I love this thread...!

Hi all!

Tick tock.... the time's getting short if you're not done shopping yet!
Busy busy busy...it seems the time just vanishes before my eyes every day! I think I'm taking most of Friday off so just tomorrow for all-day work and then 4 days off! Of course it's not like your vacations rebel and HarleyMom! (I know you deserve it though)

I managed to walk past the break/cookie/fudge tray yesterday without taking anything, and I think I'll make it today too. However, I haven't been to the gym in about a week - very bad.

I hope your knee gets better soon 2frustrated!
Hi Lee Ann! Love the GS500, almost got one of them myself.

Have a great day everyone!
Kathy
-gotta use these while I can

Talking

Hey everyone,
I just wanted to stop by to wish everyone HAPPY HOLIDAYS
I've been doing fair on my food plan. Hope I make this month without a gain...LOL.
We are going to be in the 70's Christmas eve...You know what that means. We'll get to do a ride. Usually we bundle up and take a short ride at midnight on new years. This year dh will be working. I don't think it would be the same.
I'll probably just stay home with kiddos...BUMMER.

Everyone enjoy your holidays and be safe.

Later two wheelling chicks.

Hey Chicks - How's it going ?

I scanned the posts since 12/15 (my last half workday). You have been busy chatty girls.... Thanks to all the well wishes for me and my BIG FOOT
The joint replacement/bunion surgery wasn't as bad as I had thought. Went back to the doctor yesterday and he said I am doing GREAT and can put some weight on the foot now. So today I came back to work I must say, I did get very tired of sitting in the recliner chair with my foot up, doing nothing but watching tv I wouldn't make a very good LAWL nutritionist........ Anywhoo - I have to return to doctor next Wed and then I will ask him about exercise.......Geez, I sure will have my work cut out there......Plan on going in the a.m. before work and at home at night.....

Well I'm all done with my Christmas shopping, wrapping, etc. My DH's family is coming over Christmas eve and we go to my moms on Christmas day. This year will be so much fun with all the grandbabies

Okay - I have to run (yeah right) and get some work off my desk.....
Hugs to all - Glad to be back

Hi all!!! The kitchen floor is going in today!!! Woo Hoo!!!
It has only been on the TO DO list for like a year and a half

We got all the appliances out last night, this morning the toilet went out to the back yard...after a quick phone call to verify they were really coming today...

Gotta figure out how to hit the gym today - I missed last night 'cause we were cussing about having to take the freezer door off to get the fridge from the kitchen to the dining room....next time remind me that the fridge door would be a better plan...the freezer door is one of those ones with the water and ice...and all kinds of tubing and wiring when you attempt to remove it...the fun part will be getting it all back in when the floor is done. It's gonna be so purty! And done in time for family rolling in after Christmas....

Star - glad to hear you are back on yer pins....don't work too hard!

Debbie - not gaining is good, too!! Hey, you can watch the ball drop...but I agree a midnight ride would be more fun...

Kathy - good luck avoiding the Xmas sweets...heck that goes for all of us!

LeeAnn!!! Rice Rockets must be welcome, too if they let the likes of me in...
I think Indian's are beautiful bikes...wouldn't mind one myself!

2Fru - hope your knee is better! A good pair of shoes is so important! The price of being a fit chick at her lowest adult weight!!!! I never used to read the ads for sport shops...now I find myself looking at them...too funny - unexpected changes in lifestyle are cool .

Andrea - good for you on the gazelle!!! Hope you live through the 6 yr olds with frosting!! Maybe harleymom can chip in some pointers on getting it out of your hair and off the walls

Happy Holidays, everyone!!!

Hey Ladies!
I'm off to eat like I shouldn't, enjoy my family, and make more great memories to look back at in years to come.

I hope each and every one of you have a Very Merry Christmas! Be safe and enjoy everything!

Hello everyone - anyone???
Hope you all had a great Christmas....
We had a wonderful time, we went to my moms. Four years ago it was Grandparents, us and our adult married kids.....
Flash to NOW:
Great grandparents, grand parents (us), adult married kids, and lots of them.......So we have alot of noise, toys, food all around, playing, picture taking, changing diapers and FUN.......The babies got way to many toys, but we knew that would happen. Grandbaby Dave (2) and my great nephew Brendan (3) are only 6 months apart and boy-o-boy did they ever have a blast playing with the riding toys. They would both get on and then go about two feet and then crash and fall off on purpose and laugh...... this went on FOREVER........and us adults watched them and laughed forever too....
Hope you all had as great of a time as we did.
I'm still off plan (since Nov 1st). I see no reason to start back up now until January 1st since DH is gonna start then too......This is a totally personal decision and I know it's not right for anyone else.......Matter of fact, right now I'm eating as much chocolate and 'bad' food as possible.....
However, for all you losers, maintainers and on-planners - you are much better chicks than me and I totally you.....
Hugs...

Good morning!
Thanks for being the first to confess Star! It sounds like you had a great Christmas, having small kids around sure does make the magic come back doesn't it.
I also did very bad this weekend, but I'm back to being good today. Hubby bough me a 2 pound bag of peanut M&M's for my stocking and I'm having him hide it and give it to me occasionally. I ate tons of chocolate, cheese, and anything that wasn't on my "good food" list before. I don't have as much energy as when I eat good, so I'll be glad to get to feeling normal again. Christmas was fantastic. It's all about spending time with my family and we had a great time playing games and hanging out. Here's a pic of my hubby and me.
Ok everyone else, let us know how your holiday was!

Kathy

Kathy - What a cute couple you are....how long have you been married?
Glad you had a great Christmas too.....
I feel the same, I mean about feeling so much better when I'm eating on plan. IF my DH wasn't gonna start his diet on the first I would probably start now too. On the bright side, I always do much better when he is trying to eat right too. The funny thing is that I've been off plan for so long now I'm actually 'almost' anxious to get back on track........Come next Saturday we will have the 'good foods' in the house and all the 'bad foods' gone......

PS - I want to add, and maybe this is out of line, BUT you and hubby could have beautiful babies.........(excuse me if I have a big mouth)....

How dare you for complimenting us! We do have 3 beautiful kids, all adopted from the local animal shelter. This is my second marriage, we've been together for 7 years, married for almost 3. I have 2 sons already 13 and 12, and we aren't planning to have anymore - I wouldn't have any time to ride! I know what you mean about having your hubby's support, I can slack off so easy when he's not eating clean. Luckily we both have the same view on nutrition so we don't get off track too often. Enjoy yourself until Friday and start planning now for what you'll eat then.

Geez, I'd better get my glasses checked - you looked much younger too me. But you know when we start to get old - everyone looks younger....lol
Thanks for the tip on planning our food for on plan eating, but we have talked about it alot. We are gonna do daily menu's and go by that. I will take what I use from LAWL and just mix it up more for a bigger variety for DH.
I can't WAIT to get back to the gym , as I miss that more than anything.
My foot is healing way faster than I ever dreamed (no more crutches). I can already tell that I have way more flexability in my big toe. I go back to the foot doctor on Thursday and then I think I will have the ok to get the foot wet again.......and hopefully exercise some.
