You're right Reb! I'm sooooooo lovin' this early retirement!

NOW. If I could just get off my A** and get motivated to eat better and stick with my exercise plan, I'd be a happy camper.

How are you doing??

Still struggling, sad to say...

I figured with the summer and being so much more active, that I could lose a lot easier. I'm just not, though. I just keep trying everyday, though!

Ya know what? That's all you can do.

What are you having the hardest time with? Not that you asked...but I love to troubleshoot.

Jill - such a busy chick, what fun!

Warm and toasty over here this weekend, going to a LUAU tonight...hopefully the sight of the roasted pig will keep me from eating like one. I hit the gym extra hard this morning...

Hi everyone!

I know... long time no post! It's been busy at work and when I'm not working I'm riding every chance I get. I'll have to take a bit and catch up on everything here.

I'm doing good, I haven't lost anything, but I haven't gained either. It's too hot here now to get out and exercise after work, so I'm going to have to start getting up waaay early to get it done with.

Riding wise, I have been having a blast this year. I'm in the process of becoming a ridercoach for the state safety program. I had to watch a beginner class 2 weekends ago (where I took the skills test and had 11 points taken off ) and this past weekend I took the experienced course (and I did much better with no points taken off ) Next is a phone interview, then next year I start a mentoring program then I'll be an apprentice for a while. It's a long process, but so worth it.
I also went on a 5 day ride by myself a few weeks ago. I travelled through Jackson, Wyoming then spent a couple of days in Yellowstone Park then up through Montana and down Nothern Idaho to home. I had the best time... next year I'll be taking a longer trip All my photos are here if you want to see them.

Well chicks, I have to get to work soon so you all have a great day!

Kathy

PS, Thanks for the heads up Rebel!

Happy Monday everyone!

According to my weather/temperature thingie (I'm so technical) it's 108 degrees here. Ugghhh. Yuck!

Kathy- I'm glad you found us! Good for you for working on being a ridercoach. With so many women riding these days it's nice to have women out there to do some of the teaching. Ok, so you went on a 5 day ride all by yourself?? Wow! You are a brave chicky! That sounds like so much fun. Oh, and I loved your pics. Breathtaking!

Gina- I think that the thing that I've had the hardest time with is Andrea. LOL. I want to be a piggy, I guess. I have just been making bad food choices. I did some research last week on the 90/10 weight loss plan and I started it today. It seems so easy and actually possible for me to stick to!

Talk to you chicks later!

Kathy....WOW WOW WOW....what a beautiful trip!! How numb was your butt? All by yourself is quite brave....I can imagine most of those places have no cell coverage...but at least your bike is in great shape! I took a week trip by myself once to Santa Cruz....but that was looooonnnnggg ago. It WAS fun!

Andrea - Weight loss is a LOT of head games we play with ourselves...don't be so hard on yourself. You'll find a plan that works for you. Hopefully it's the 90/10 plan!

I'm afraid to get on the scale myself at the moment....went to a funeral for a friend yesterday...it has been a rough week. I'm in the picking myself up and dusting myself off process...

Hey Chicks!
I'm stuck in Salt Lake City for the night. We just had a power outage of about an hour. Very annoying, no internet. Last time I was in the same motel the fire alarms went off and the firemen had to come (not so bad, men in uniform are cuuuuuuuuute! )

The trip was the best thing I could have ever done for myself....except for the fact that I want to go again NOW! No numb butt, apparently I have enough cushioning to take care of that . I'm not so brave, I just needed to get away for a while - I'd rather think of the positives that happen rather than the "what if's" Besides, I had my tire patch repair kit (not that I know how to use it!) Hubby knew where I was going each day and I'd call him each night. I look at my pics, and it makes me long to go again.

Chick, sorry to hear about your friend.

Hang in there everyone!

Kathy

Gina- Sorry to hear about your friend

Kathy- That's a good way to keep a positive attitude. I think that sometimes people just need "me" time.

Another stifling hot day here. 108-109 range again. What are your temps? I hear its hot almost everywhere this year.

Work is such a mess. I feel so defeated every day I come home. The sad thing is that my summer work is just basically a cleaning job. It shouldn't be so horrible. We have 2 trouble making women in our group that tattle and just make everyone angry. Ridiculous.

I've been doing ok with the 90/10 plan. I'm really liking it so far. I just keep trying to remember to think of it as 1 meal, 1 snack at a time and not focus on the big picture, yet.

Stay cool, chicks!

Hello everyone,

My name is Tiffany. My husband and I have a 2003 HD Road King Custom. I am currently the passenger, we only have one bike. A Harley payment is expensive!! We are not riding this summer, we got some spring riding in though. My husband is deployed with the Air Force and won't be back until late September. We are hoping there will still be a few nice days left once he gets back. I am also hoping that my fat *** will be smaller to make the bike easier for him to handle with me on it.

Just wanted to introduce myself.

Wow! A thread just for Bikers~! This site truly ROCKS!

It has been a few years since I have been in the saddle (had kids) but as a birthday gift my Husband just ordered me the 2007 street bob. I am thrilled! "Bob" is my motiviation to get back to my pre-pregnancy figure!

I look forward to meeting everyone. The thread is too long to read through tonight - are there any rides planned?

Stella

Are you sure your husband is going to be ok riding bitc*? lol. I don't mind not having my own bike right now. I am afraid of dumping it because I can't hold my fat a$$ up.
I am turning 30 in a couple weeks, my husband has promised me a muscle car. Hmmm, how is he going to do that from Kyrgyzstan?? Anyway, I like when we ride together and so does he. He has made different comments about how content he is to be on the bike with me right behind him. He even misses me when he rides alone.
Don't get me wrong, I WILL have my own bike as soon as we can afford it. We still have another 3 years to go before the current ride is paid off.

HA HA HA!! Ya know I got a real kick out of him saying we would ride together- the image of a chick driving with a guy clinging on- LOL!

Anyway- Bob is a solo seat and I am not getting a pilon so that ends the sharing thing *GRIN* He can ride it when I am not riding.

We will be paying for Bob for a loooonnnggg time too- but oh to be on the road again! This is my first NEW bike- and actually the first one I can really call mine- so I will be keeping it covered and safe from the kids.

I used to ride off road in the local hills- I loved it and was in pretty good shape back then. I wonder if it is a workout- I could ride all day so it must not have been much of one...

Did you ever ride off road?
What kind of muscle car?

I am firm beleiver that riding on back firms the butt. We went to South Dakota this spring and I couldn't walk the next day. My butt muscles hurt!!!! The front part of the seat is so much more comfortable. There is NO WAY Kris would ever get on the back!

Going to bed now, talk to you all in the morning.
