Carri- Yay for being OP! I bet you will see a great number Sat! I love Teen Mom 2, I always say I would rather watch my drama on TV instead of it being in my life!
Liz- Pancakes and syrup sounds sooooo yummy!! I love dressing my boys up too.....and I normally try to dress them alike lol
Yeah I like to dress mine alike too - at least in colour and/or pattern!! I've had them fairly matchy matchy on special occasions so far, DH just rolls his eyes...haha
Thank you all for the warm welcome!!! I am going to try and find some healthy recipes for the crock-pot so that I will have dinner ready when I get home. I have a wonderful family and they are all on board for a lifestyle change. My husband and 2 sons all go to the gym with me right after work and then we come home to get dinner. Lately it has been either tuna and a salad or a whole wheat pita with lots of veggies but that is going to get old very soon... I am hoping to find some good veggies that are healthy for the crockpot or something that won't take too long to cook for a family of 5. Thanks for all the great advice, now it is time to go and find some good recipes
Good morning everyone. I took the day off work. My DH is off to. He is such a basketball fan and he has friends over to watch--they were here until after midnight last night. I've learned from past experiences that it's best for me to take this day off because I get no sleep the night before.
I have plenty to do around the house today--in rooms where there tv isn't! lol
I'm looking forward to just being able to do what I want to do. It's cloudy here right now but I think it's going to be warm out later and some sun--I'm planning on sweeping the car out and wipping off the dash and cleaning the windows on the inside--too cold for me to wash it yet but I will run it through the car wash.
I didn't make it to TOPS last night. I had some work that kept me later at the work place than I thought I would be there. I think I might have been up at TOPS since I didn't get good workouts in this week.
Liz: The festival sounds fun and yummy! Be sure that when you get the outfits for the kids for Easter you take a pic of them in them and post them. I LOVE to see kids in matching outfits!
Mel: I'd love to see pics of your boys dressed alike too! It's always so cute!
Carri: You are doing great...get those pancakes and maple syrup out of your head! But they do sure sound good don't they?! Thanks for keeping us up on Auntie G. Tell her hi from us.
Mystical: I hope you will share your crockpot recipies--I'll be on the lookout for them too. My cook likes to do them and I like them because it makes dinner the next day easy--I just plug the crockpot in!
Morning Ladies ...weighed in a day early and saw a two pound loss so I am happy with that ...currently in the weightloss challenge at work I am number 15 out of 100 as far as weightloss and percentage go so I am pretty proud of that ...working towards being in the top 10 - however only the top three win anything...but I will keep trying. I really feel like I am on a solid track now, and back on ...now dont get me wrong I still have my "cheat" meals usually once a week but I have to have that to keep myself going...as long as I stay off soda and do good the bulk of the time I am happy...and I at least want to see 2-3 pds gone each week...
Any of you guys watch Heavy on A&E ? Comes on Monday nights at 10:00 ...really an interesting show, they follow two people for 6 months on their weightloss at a weightloss ranch type thing...really amazing how much they can lose in that time...like that we get to see the whole transformation in the one hour...and each week it is a different two people...if you havent seen it check it out, it is a good show...yeah I know it seems like all I do is watch tv, hahaha
So glad today is Friday...I have some extra money on my chk this week due to my raise so thinking about going shopping and getting some new work shirts for the warmer weather...I need some pretty badly.
Mel - did you watch this last Tuesdays episode ? that stuff going on with Jenelle and her mom is just crazy, the way they yell at eachother , wow ...
Cant wait to hear you are in the 180's tomorrow
Susie - supposed to be a mild weekend here too so I am going to clean out my car, it needs it SO bad, plus it will give me some good exercise and keep me off the couch in front of the tv
Hi to Arabella, and Auntie G !!!! Have a great weekend.
Liz - yes, we want pics of course for the Easter outfits...seems like a while aways but will be here in a flash, just like the end of Summer
Mystical - go online at like google and just enter crockpot recipes , there are tons of sites that have some really good ones, alot of variety.
I hope you all have a great weekend, an OP weekend Enjoy the nice weather if you are having it, I know I will.
Susie-Hope you get some sunshine!! The next time I have them dressed alike I will try to post it on here!
Carri-I know I think its a good thing that girl does not have her kid! Yay for the 2 lb loss thats amazing!!! I hope I have a loss tmw too but just looking at my stomach it doesnt look like it
Well ladies I think I have had a pretty good week so hoping for a loss tmw, pls keep your fingers crossed!!
I am currently devastated and tearing up....I weighed in at 190.2 WTH?! I have staying under calories EVERY day and got a 0.2 loss. I feel like whats the point of being so strict and counting everything I eat when it is getting me no where. I have pretty much wasted a week and want to give up. DH is no support and tells me I need to quit starving myself and get more self control. I told him my app tells me how many calories to eat and thats what I should eat....it is taking everything I have to not binge eat the whole weekend since I am not losing weight anyways......sorry for the rant but I am not in the best place right now
Mel: Isn't it disappointing when you work so hard and the scales don't really show it? I know you were looking for more of a loss but you did have a loss--I bet if you keep on plan you will see a really big loss next week. Come on, no binge, let's see what happens by staying on plan and what the scales say next week.
I"m glad you came here with your frustration. To many times I don't come and post when I'm feeling like I'm going to throw in the towel...you have came her, told us the problem and you are going to get support here. Use some time today to read inspirational stories, so you can see how others went through the same thing you are dealing with right now and still made it to goal. Hang in there!
Cari: Look at you! What a great loss! I hope that you did go out and buy some new things for yourself with your raise.
Ky30: Keep up the good work!
I didn't get my car cleaned out yesterday--it ended up raining. So I got some house work done, some reading done and some relaxing done. I'm about to go clean my kitchen and bathroom, then make some lunch and then get ready for a wedding that is early this evening. My niece is getting married--I'm looking forward to the festivites and I will keep the wedding cake to a thin piece!
Oh Mel I am so sorry the scale isn't cooperating and showing your hard work...Susie is right though it will show up...just sometimes in its own time. How frustrating!! Don't listen to DH you're not starving yourself, they just have no idea sometimes what calories mean and also obviously women can't eat as much as men can (as annoying as that is!). You can do it - you haven't wasted a week at all! Keep working it and it will show up on the scale. I promise!!
Carri - YAY on a 2lb loss! That's great! And that's awesome you're #15, out of 100 that's really good! And you'll be one of the ones that keeps going too - I bet you a lot will drop out, you know how it goes.
Susie - Glad you got some relaxing time in yesterday and have fun at the wedding tonight! Do you know at my wedding I never even had a piece of cake...I wasn't dieting or anything but just too busy dancing!! haha
I'm going out for dinner with a friend in Toronto tonight, I've checked out the menu online and planned my calories out so I should be good that way. Hope everybody has a good day.
Hi all! Got my computer mostly fixed, but I had to have Windows re-loaded and I lost everything. Took me a few extra days to remember some of my passwords- LOL- probably others I'll never remember. Groan...
Anyway, I've been pretty much OP since Monday, but did break down and have pizza last night. Stupid. Night before WI is not the time for that, but DH was so sad that I was going to change the Friday night pizza plan, I just gave in. I told him we're not doing that next week! I'm down 4lbs from Monday, which leaves me 3 over ticker, but I'm not changing it now, cause I'm going to get back there next week!
As usual, I've missed too much to catch up on, but as long as the computer doesn't croak on me again, I'm making a serious effort to get in here more often starting NOW. Hope everyone's having a good weekend, and Mel, I hope you didn't let that scale throw you far off track today. Hang in there- it'll come off!
Morning everyone...I had a good weekend and was able to stay OP, on Saturday I almost had a week moment and just said screw it and was gonna have pizza and brownies, but last minute I decided not too and was able to stay within calories both Sat and Sunday, so feeling pretty good
I was feeling pretty down about my weight loss on Saturday and that is why I almost had a binge , because I was thinking I hadnt lost much since we started the contest on 3/1 but then I read where this woman here on 3FC said she was excited about losing 7 pds in two months, and I have lost 8 pds in a little over three weeks...so I was proud of that and was able to reel myself back in after thinking about that...
Mel - Sorry hon, I have been there too, sometimes the scale just doesnt want to budge and I think ( like I did above ) screw it, I am just gonna eat...and I too feel like I have wasted weeks starving myself for no loss...but sometimes the scale shows no loss for a week and then a really good one a couple of weeks later, so just hang on ...I also use that app and I think it does a really good job, so stick with it ...you have lost so much already, and you have done a great job
Auntie G - I think you can still have Friday pizza night just get a medium so you both dont over eat and just get a cheese or veggie pizza and just have two slices and/or a salad, that is what I do...get thin crust too
Liz - yeah that is what I am hoping, that alot of people fall of the wagon and I can keep moving up and up !!!
Susie - I did buy some things for myself, nail polish, new purse, underwear, nightgown ....just some things I needed, not down enough yet to get cute clothes I want.
Carri - Good for you on resisting the binge!! And yes 8 lbs in 3 weeks is amazing, I know it's human nature to always want more but you're doing great, as you know.
auntie g - Glad your computer is back in the land of the living!
I'm doing well, DH has a new job opportunity which we're exploring at the moment....it may mean a really quick change but it would mean weekends off and evenings off, which would be really nice for family time (right now he works 2 evenings during the week and all weekend). It's scary though becaue he's been at his job for 20 years...yes he started when he was 15! He's talking to the guy tonight...we'll see how it goes and what he has to say. Apparently there's two other candidates though too.
Monday, Monday... Went a little off track over the weekend, but could have been way worse. We were out and about and starving, ended up getting a little bigger sandwich than I had planned, but at least it was a mostly healthy one. Back on the wagon today.
Carri, congrats on saying NO to the pizza and brownies! That is HUGE! Two of my favorite things in the world... Ewww, I have to cook pork chops and veggies for dinner today. DH is happy about it, but I am just not a huge fan of meat. I could eat pasta and cereal (and pizza!) every day and be happy with it. But alas, that's what got me into this shape! What kind of stuff do you eat for dinner that's low carb?
Liz, good luck with DH's job decision! My DH is settling into his new job, but I know how you feel- when you've been at one place for so long, a change is really scary. I've been at my job for almost 19 years, and I have no idea what I'm going to do as we're getting closer to closing up shop. If only I'd win the lottery...
Better get moving before I end up sitting at the computer too long. Have a great day, all!
Hi ladies. Sorry I havent been around much but I had a bad weekend (not necessarily food wise). I did end up eating ice cream sat night and omg did I regret it. Even with the dairy pills I had horrible stomach pains and was miserable so the good news is I never want ice cream again lol I didnt count anything during the weekend but I know I need to get back on track...tmw will be the day. Thank you all soooo much for the encouragement! When I read them they made me feel so much better, I have decided that I will no longer talk to DH about my weight loss when its not going so well bc he has no idea what it feels like to go through this and only makes me feel like I am not eating enough. Sorry I am not doing personals but I am having some killer heartburn and my oldest is about to be home so I need to make lunch. I refuse to give up! Thank you thank you again for everything ladies it means the world to me!
