Carri, yay for another good day! I'm OP, too, but not feeling much improvement because of PMS. Hopefully next week... Did you see that one of the BL pink team got arrested? It seems kind of funny, actually. Here's the link to the article I read, in case you missed it...
Where did everybody go? Well, at today's WI, I lost 3½ of the 9 I had gained. I was hoping for more, but didn't get much exercise this week, so I guess that's pretty good. Hope you girls are hanging in there!
I'd like to join this "train" too! I'm at 215.4 and my goal is to be in onederland by the end of February. I know I can do it, but I'm glad I found this thread for support!
Hi Anmitche! Welcome aboard the Onederland Express! Are you on a specific program? I'm doing Weight Watchers, without going to meetings. If you're just starting out, you can definitely get there by the end of February! Keep on posting!
Morning All...well I weighed myself on Saturday morning and was down5 pounds for the week !!!!! I was so excited, so that has kept me on the straight and narrow...since I just started on last week I wanted to have a week to get used to the food thing and this week I will start exercising...I am back on and feel good.
Auntie G- Yes I did hear that story about her on the B Loser...sounds like a real prize that one, ha ha ...great job on losing those 3 1/2 pounds !!!!! We are doing good !!!
I'm back, OP, doing well. But I'm having network problems that mean I'm spending half my day keeping the network up so I can get anything done. The weekend was totally busy -- wake and funeral for a friend's mother Friday evening and Saturday and then a family party out of town on Sunday. And - OY! - it's going to be a busy week.
Not letting stress get to me though. I'll be back with "the personals" ASAP!
Monday again... I'm cooking turkey soup today for the week. It's been icy the past couple days, so it's hard to get the steps in, but I did get more than I thought I would. The sun is out today, so hopefully things will improve.
Carri, and a too! 5 lbs!!! Nice! That's more what I was hoping for, but alas... Anyway, great job, and that should absolutely keep you inspired!
Arabella, congrats on being OP! Try not to let the busy-ness and stress throw you off. Actually, being busy helps me- I'm not thinking about food so much when I'm really busy. Stress, well, that's another story, but don't let it get you!
I'm doing WW, actually tracking everything I eat, figuring out what the points are, what I can have, etc. Getting my 10k steps every day, getting the water. This a.m. I was down a pound from tracker, which I'd readjusted to reflect those pounds that leapt on me at the end of the holidays. Also down a pound from Friday's WI and hoping for at least one more squoze off by Friday
Still busy and etc. but determined to cope. I WILL go to sound yoga at lunchtime. I WILL go to tai chi tonight.
Auntie g and Carri! Those fluffies are just falling off again -- kudos!
Auntie, I'm good if I'm busy doing some stuff but busy sitting at the computer in my house doesn't work for me. Kitchen is just steps away... I'm thinking the tracking is going to save me though
Hellooooo... Friday at last! It's been a completely OP week, so I'm hoping for something good to show up at tomorrow's WI. I've got to go get my car warmed up, as it's NINE degrees outside, brrrrrr! Just wanted to pop in and see if anyone's still here... If so, Arabella, have a good WI today, and happy Friday to all!
Auntie G - I can top you...this morning we were only at -10 !!! It has been so horrible...my heat bill is going to be enormous I am sure, but thank God I have heat I guess.
Well I have been OP all week and feeling good...now for the weekend, you know that is the hardest time for me so wish me luck all ...
with it being so freakin' cold it has made me want to stay inside with my comfort foods but I havent given in !!
2½ more lbs down, still 3 above ticker, but I'm getting there. It's still ridiculously cold, but we didn't get into the negative numbers (well, with wind chill we did), so you win, Carri. But ick! It was 6º this morning. They say we'll make it into the double digits today, though, so hopefully I'll be able to get out for a walk.
Have a great weekend, and beware of comfort foods! Good luck!
I didn't make it to WI on Friday. My SIL was in hospital and I went to stay with her. She went in the other day after her acupuncturist found a large mass in her abdomen. They've rushed through procedures and expect biopsy results today but they've been told that it doesn't look good and that they might want to get their kids home ASAP. They think it's a rare cancer called retroperitoneal sarcoma. Typically asymptomatic until it's very advanced. We're all devastated.
However, I'm a Reiki practitioner (not sure if I've ever mentioned that) and she seems to get enormous benefit from treatment. She seemed all but lifeless before the first one I gave her but had her sparkle back afterwards. And then after treatment yesterday, it was literally impossible to believe she might be dying any time soon. She seemed perfectly healthy.
I've been doing pretty well, trying to concentrate on looking after myself as well. I had one stress-induced binge last week (ironically, before we got the news -- all about work and network issues ) Two festive fluffies have scampered.
We had extremely cold weather here since last Thursday -- got down to -38 with the windchill. Bright and sunny every day though and I actually managed to walk at least a bit every day. Didn't get all my steps a couple of days but that was more because of issues than anything else.
Carri, you can usually have some kind of comfort foods -- just have to be careful. Hope your weekend was good!
Auntie g, the fluffies are melting! Awesome work. I'm still four up from my old ticker but I decided to change ticker to reflect current numbers rather than try and make myself lose back down to ticker before I allowed myself to move it. Ah, the relosing.
Another fresh week is upon us - hurray! I did some damage yesterday because of football, but sadly for the Eagles, and happily for the diet, that's all over now. I have everything cooked and "containerized" for the week, and no excuses to go off plan. The temps have gone up, too, so walking is definitely on the agenda. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
Arabella, so sorry to hear about your SIL, but how awesome that Reiki is helping! I don't recall you mentioning that you're a practitioner before, and I am fascinated. I'm not sure I even grasp what Reiki is, but I'm under the impression that it involves moving energy around. What's funny to me is that I once had a very brief session with a psychic-sort of woman, who I asked what my career path should be. She told me I would be good at Reiki, but I haven't yet felt the push to look into it. Hmmmm...
Congrats on the 2 lbs down, and on getting in some walking in the frigid temps! Keep up the good work, and best wishes for your SIL's situation!
Morning All - I had a good weekend, was able to stay OP and lost another 2 pounds last week, so I have lost a total of 7 for Jan so far and I am so excited, we are going on vacation to friends house in CA the first week of August so I want to be down 50 pounds by then...I would have to lose at least 7 per month in order to accomplish this, so wish me luck !!
Arabella - My thoughts are with your SIL and her/your family, that is horrible. I am sorry to hear that.
Auntie G - great job on the loss...hope BL is on tonight...I didnt know if it would be because of the presidential stuff...hopefully that is just during the day...I need my weekly dose of inspiration.
