  • Morning everyone, stayed strong over the weekend and am now down 10 pounds total...

Liz - your son is adorbable anyhow but that outfit with the tie is so darn cute...makes me wanna reach through this screen and squeeze him

Auntie G - 90 miles for breakfast? it better have been good, haha ...

Arabella - hi, how was your Easter?

Hope you all had a good Easter, we didnt end up doing anything since my husband was not feeling well. we just lazed around the house, although I did end up going for a 30 min walk in the evening.

    Talk to you all later,
    Carri
  • Carri - Congrats on the 10 lbs!! WOO HOO! Yeah I love DS in the tie, I took a couple of pictures of him playing with a phone, he looks like a little businessman, serious expression and all!! lol

I'm so happy, I got into a pair of size 18 pants today that I bought a while ago on sale - I just need to get them shortened now! I have another pair too that I bought at the same time, same size, but they don't quite fit yet. Soon though. Soon I'll be able to shop in "normal" size stores! I can't wait.
  • Afternoon All , had to go out at lunch and get my taxes mailed off…I never get a refund so I wasn’t in any hurry to get it done…haha

Liz – Isnt that great when you can shop in “normal” stores? I remember the first time I got into an 18 it was so great …congrats on this nsv ( non scale victory )…you are doing a great job.
Yes, that is what your son looked like to me, a mini business man, way too cute.

Anyone watch Bloser last night? It was a good one…I always love the makeover show…they all looked nice…of course I had to boohoo when Ron’s other son got so upset seeing how good his brother and dad looked, too sad…oh well once they get home they can help him and vice versa.

Have a good rest of the day everyone !!

    Later,
    Carri
  • Hi all! I'm so out of control and so busy and so emotional- basically a mess. I'll get back on track one of these days, though!

The far away breakfast was good, but the location was a little annoying this year. Normally we drive up to the mountains (about 80 miles away) on Easter morning for breakfast, then have to rush back to go to church. This year we decided to go on Saturday so we could take our time and maybe find something else to do up there, which we did, and that was fine. But what was annoying was that they closed down the place we usually go to, so we had to go a little deeper into a traffic-y place, which I'm not fond of. But alas, next year we shall go somewhere completely different.

Liz, I agree your little businessman is adorable! It's hard to resist a little on in a tie! Glad you had a mostly under control Easter, and congrats on the size 18s!! Woo hoo!

Carri, woo hoo for the -10 lbs!!! Keep it up! (Or should I say "down"...) I watched BL - I never really paid that much attention to the makeover shows before, but I did this time. Yeah, I felt bad for Ron's other son, too. I hope they can help him succeed when they get home. I'm still undecided on who I want to win. I like Mike, but I think Tara is gonna be tough to beat. What are your thoughts?

Time to go make dinner. Hopefully I won't do too much more damage... Have a good one!
  • Auntie G - Glad you had a good breakfast even if it was annoying to wade through the traffic! I hate traffic. I hope things are OK with you, !

I'm doing OK, although I gave in and had pizza last night....and of course I'm up 2lbs this morning, hopefully it's mostly water weight I am going to be drinking water like crazy today. Pizza is just someting I can't seem to give up, I didn't even go very far over my calories to have it but the sodium obviously is just nuts. I can't even do a "healthy" homemade pizza or something; it has to be delivery. Maybe one day I'll be able to just give up having it. Hopefully.
  • Liz - I am also a pizza fanatic...I am so addicted to it and have to have it, but I am like you I always see some pounds up the next day, I am sure from the sodium.

Auntie G - Yes, I think Tara is going to win if they keep her in the game, she does so well, so determined...I dont feel 100% towards wanting anyone of them to win, but I guess I do like tara the best.

Not too much going on today, re-doing some budget inbetween work...that is always fun. Have a good day all.

    Hi Arabella !!!

  • Fly-by report -- My motherboard crapped out and although I'm more-or-less back in business now, I'm so far behind that I'll be a while catching up. Holding my own, diet-wise, which is -- of course -- not good enough.

Hope to see you all soon!
  • Hey gals

Well, it's weigh-in day! Luckily since I drowned myself in water yesterday, the water retention from the pizza went away, and I'm down 2lbs. I am so excited to get into the 2-teen's in the next few weeks!
  • Liz - I hope you have better luck than me, I have been hovering at 220.2 and then to 220.8 and back again...having a hard time breaking into those two teens for some reason...I really hope to see 219 this weekend sometime...fingers crossed. You are doing a great job by the way...keep it up!!!

I hope we all can stay focused and get into Onederland by Fall ....

    Later,
    Carri
  • Carri - I hate stalls...and I'm coming up to my stall time, two weeks before TOM. Oh well....eventually we'll all get there! Onederland by fall is definitely my goal...I have 199 by September 1st as my goal on fitday. We can do it!

Hope everybody has a great weekend...I am going to a neighbourhood bbq tonight, wish me luck....generally a time for me to have a few drinks and a burger plus the extras....oh well I'll do my best!
  • bump ...

Wow it has been quite a while for us all, huh?

Admittedly I have not done well at all this week and am looking forward to getting back on track, I have 14 weeks until my vacation and I would still like to lose 30-35 before then, I dont know if that is do-able but that is a goal.

Dh is going away on his annual fishing trip for the weekend so it will just be me and the dog...but I think I will spend some time with family this weekend too.

How are the rest of you doing?

    Talk to you all soon.

    Carri
  • Hello all! Well, I have been doing so bad that I bet I'm not even in Onederland anymore. Haven't got the guts to get on the scale in a few weeks. So many issues... I still plan on getting back OP, but it won't happen before I get to go do a proper grocery shopping trip. Hopefully I'll make it this weekend. I have just been surviving on fast crap, and now I'm PMSy and so bloated and just plain icky.

Carri, try to behave while your DH is away! You've still got time to get a good chunk off before your vacation.

Liz, hope you're still hanging in there!

Arabella, hope you're hanging in, too!

Have a good weekend, all, and hopefully the upcoming warm weather (80s and 90s here for the next few days!) will get everyone motivated!
  • Hey gals

I noticed that they closed these threads at 500 - I did start a new one but then I never posted here to say that I did! I'll post on the other one as well to bump it up.

Carri - 30lbs in 14 weeks is ambitious but you can do it! Just over 2lbs per week. Have fun with the family and dog this weekend (not that the dog isn't family!! ) - enjoy the beautiful weather. I am planning on trying to get out for a hike.

Well weigh in today, I am down 2lbs. I really need to start exercising though. I've been so bad about it! I just restrict eating more so I don't have to...I know that's not healthy. I should set myself up an exercise ticker, maybe that will get me motivated.
  • Here's the link to the new thread. Don't get lost!
