If Miss Melody can manage to do it successfully then obviously your on-line tutoring works and I should be able to capitalise on my two brain cells and do it too!! Yee haa!!!!! Meadow I love the picture of the sleeping squirrel! But then, as I think I have said before, I love all the pictures you post for our enjoyment! And now we can have lots from Mel, too!! I like the dancing brocolli! Also, do you know if that Monday Hug picture is based on figurines from Bertha Hummel? Mum collects the figures and I have two now myself. I have such a gorgeous cd playing at the moment. Lovely and soothing and so on and so on! It is a new age type genre cd called TRANQUILITY and is a "mind, body, spirit" sort of thing. I will find out the composer and a few details when I find the cd proper! I downloaded it to my computer so its already there for the use of. Not very helpful but I shall have a hunt for the original in the morning.....er...later!!!

Holy crap, she is getting smart. Yes I am here. I have a tail to tell - yes a tail and not a tale - and a sore one at that.
Silly me forgot about drinking water and lots of it in the heat. Silly me forgot the diet and ate mostly carbs. Silly me got constipated badly and now have a very painfull tale to tell. STupid, stupid me!!!!! So I am home from work and this is the first time today I have got beyond the horizontal and waddled down to the internet cafe. I am home from work and wont get paid for today. I am in pain. I am sooooooo sorry for myself. I am STUPID. Not of course that I mind being away from work. Especially as they are having a PLANNING meeting out Altona way. Planning for something that should be finished in about 6 weeks from now Anyway that's it. I didn't want to go anyway, and now I haven't although I could have thought about an easier way to do it.
Meadow, glad to hear that the bloke from the Dandenongs was of some help. Now lets hope you can get some help out of the Americans. I'm sure that somewhere, somehow it can happen. I want to see pictures of your yard in the spring when the bulbs are out!!!!
Okay, best move on. I had a ring from a head hunter last night to ask if I would consider a permanent job travelling and training in Western Australia and the Northern Territories as well as Chile, Indonesia and a couple of other places. But it would mean relocation to Perth. Hmm is $70K enough for all the hassle? I'm thinking about it. It's mining and resources again. Not that I mind that - some of those blokes are pretty good but the mining resources tend to be in trouble spots around the world and I am not sure that I am adventurous enough to live like that. I best go see the job ad and think about it some more. Probably I will let the CV go through and see if it comes to an interview and then make up my mind. It's a curve in the road I had not expected to have to take. But like Happy, sometimes it is for the best or at the least for a change.

Teel, hope you are looking after that back. So what if you don't get dressed, you weren't going anywhere were you? The salmon sounds good and seeing I am eating only fruit, vegetables and a bit of fish for the next couple of days, I may just have a go at it.

Linus, hip operations seem to be becoming commonplace now. I remember years back there was a bloke at a place I worked who limped badly and was on sticks. He had one hip down and it was like 10 years of pain and wear had been wiped from his face. I was around when the second got down, but he was probably strutting around like a 20 year old. It's amazing.

Hmmmmn. Poor Shad! Nice hot bath to help relax the abdominal muscles might help start tipping the balance....syrup of figs....prunes.....feel better very soon!

I ended up seeing my GP today. The lump on my neck is not getting any smaller let alone "gone away completely!" So he hd a feel of all my neck glands and peered down my ears and throat and said ok let me send you for a chest xray to see if there is an underlying infection going on in your chest...blood counts are a bit off...white cell count over normal which usually precludes an infection of some sort. So its down to hospital tomorrow (he rang up and made the appointment whilst I was sitting there) for a chest x-ray. Great. Not.
Also told him of my evil mood and the equally evil pain levels that have beset me since Munglani's injections. Enquired when I am next due to see my psychiatrist...
And then I went to see my physiotherapist. She knows from experience not to touch me other than to do ultrasound and infrarential treatment (sort of a tens machine with 100x the power).
I said we would give it another bash next week. And actually when she pressed the SI joint that has been injected I didn't leap off the couch screaming...so perhaps afterall there has been a modicom of success in that direction. I told the gp that the jury was still out over that decision!!

Good evening Gals! Well it's almost 6 so I guess it's evening.
It's been a strange day. Richie's Aunt passed away this morning about 5ish(Jen's BF) The whole family is distraught and running around like crazy people. They are a very hysterical family. Excitable. Richie has spent best part of the day with me and Jen has been fielding the phone calls. He is absolutely exhausted trying to keep them ......I don't even know how to describe it...these are the kind of people that throw themselves on the coffin. They already threw themselves all over the bed at the hospital and on the floor! I went to the market and bought a chicken and stuffing and veggies so they won't have to cook for a few days. I'll make it tomorrow for them. Both are asleep and the phone is turned off. If they have any sense they will stay home tonite by themselves.(sigh) this is the first minute alone I have had all day and am dragging my butt....speaking of butts....

Shad~ I am sorry to hear about the rear problems!!! I have been there so I know it hurts!!! Sorry you cannot find someone to kiss the boo boo! Hope it feels better soon!! Wow!! What a thought! Moving and new places all the time! But if it's like Iran etc!! That better be part of the pay and added pay for the HOT spots!!! Keep us filled in on the possibilities! Sorry I've been absent. So much to do, not nearly enough time or energy. Doesn't help that I have a doozer of a cold too. I don't have an exact date for moving yet, will probably find out more next week but am trying to do as much as I can.

I'm so sorry to read of all of the aches and pains in our little corner here. I will say a few prayers that you all can find a bit of comfort in your daily lives. Little more I can do other than to give your pillows a quick fluff as I race by Keep your spirits up and never give up the fight.

Well the xray came and went. As I expected really. Ring up your g.p. in 7 to 10 days time to get the results...I sincerely hope it will be gone by then or at least smaller than it is at this moment. I really don't feel like I have any strength left in me to deal with another personal crisis.
My friend came round this afternoon to give me a reflexology treatment. Bless her for she is a great person. My feet were extremely sore even under her gentle finger pressures and I am afraid I did it again! Cried a couple of buckets worth. She works for the local hospice so knows all the sorts of things to say that usually reduces me to a pile of salty water.I am very lucky to have met her a couple of years ago now, when I first had the heart problem. She is a real gentle woman and I really do like her a lot!
I wish she was my support worker! Might have a bit of support then. My current helpers don't eem to be worth much really.I rang my social worker this morning but as she wasn't in the office I was told she would ring back later......later?!!! What time is "later" exactly!!!!!
Ah well it is vey quiet on this thread at the moment. Mel I hope you and Jen are ok and over your recent traumas. What new signature of Happy's are you talking about? Have I missed something???

Went with my daughter's kindergarten class to the pumpkin patch yesterday. Actually all the kindergarten kids went, morning and afternoon classes, so it was some parents, two teachers and 80 kids There was a petting zoo, the goats and pig were very friendly, wagging their tales and enjoying the attention... the sheep and horses, were not so enthusiastic. I guess they failed to see the appeal of a stampede of children, with hands outstretched, trying to pat their fur. We had juice and a snack in the teepees and there was also a fairytale and dinosaur cutouts in a forest path that was fun to view. There was a fairy teaparty, so cute. We had a great time.

I have a cold so my energy is flagging and my skin is becoming very dry, so exercise is out till my nose stops running Not much of an appetite either so hopefully it will not be a setback, just a hiccup in the routine

Hugs for all the aches and pains that seem to be surrounding us all these days. Good vibes that it will subside and you will all be chipper and feeling full of energy soon. I feel the foggy headedness too, sucks to feel unwell.

Hang in there and just keep plugging away!!! You wouldn't be having the mumps by any chance??? Guess they would have known by now. Just a thought.

Jen and the BF are going over to the family's house to spend the night. Then 2 days of funeral! I do not envy them. I am trying to bow out of a "funeral" breakfast with the family. Feigning sinus probs worse than they really are! They have never wanted to meet me so why now??? I am not in the mood for crying right now anyway. Cannot breathe as it is! I did lots of sorting today and shredding..... cleaned the birds and vacuumed!! I was a good Flylady Even sorted the Xmas gifts and we decided what to give and to who. Jen and Rich will deliver them when the time comes. Not many this year. My first priority is still to pay the debts! I even had enough to help Jen with one of hers this month. I have really cut back now and buy only what is healthy and also not OVER BUY!! We have thrown out too much food in the past. Jen is buying less now to some extent. I'm starting to write a book here so I best get OUT of the sandbox and let someone else play with the pails and shovels!
