The football game was really really interesting. It was a CARNIVAL! (that was the spectators) The football players are remarkably LARGE men!! The Dallas Cowboys played a terrible game - their total lack of skill won the game for the Cincinnati Bengals. I had a really great time in spite of them.

Two more days and I'll be home!!!

Hello everyone

I am still blowing my nose and coughing up a storm, yucky flu! I have taken drugs to try and sleep which is not like me but this coughing all night stuff just isn't good. Nyquil works but tastes like crap, I need to check out the pills of that stuff next time. Tylenol sinus only half works.

Nae~ I had to go back and read your post after reading Meadow's. I had forgotten all about the buck. Thank God for the near miss!!! Years back my Brother hit one and totalled his car out. He was so shook up he ran off the road! Nothing happened to him but he did slow down after that! LOL

Meadow~ Hope you feel better soon. For chronic coughing i use Vick's Chloraseptic Sore Throat Lozenges. They numb the throat so you can get to sleep. I keep them by the bed when I'm sick. I wake up coughing and suck on it for a few minuteds, spit it out and go back to sleep. Works for me and Jen. She is the one who learned this trick. Poor you with this crappy flu. (((((((HUGS)))))))

I do hope that everyone is recovering from any illness and let's try to keep the colds away! When you have people over and they use the phone and doorhandles and other such things, wipe your phone receiver and door handles and other objects fridge handles and such down with a good strong cleaner. It helps to keep the transfer of some bugs down. And if you are very ill replace your toothbrush often. Nae's tips for the day!!!
I had a meeting last night and now it is dark so very early when I drove up into my yard there in the reflection of my headlights resting on the lawn all spread out were about 12 deer. What a site! I hated to drive up to the house for fear I would disturb them. Hunting season is over now and they are making an appearance again. Did any of you see the northern Lights the other night. THey have been visialbe for 3 nights....not quite as dramatic and what can be seen in Alaska or Canada but a site none the less!
Good Job to all of you who are still working so hard to fight the good fight of proper eating and drinking. I take my hat off to you. You all remain a source of encouragement!
The holidays are fast approaching and I am trying to get some hand done projects together I always have the best of intentions.

Nae~ I just bought clorox wipes for Jen and I. There are so many painters, repairmen and more to come that I wanted the doorknobs clean! Glad I'm not the only one! I don;t take chances even though we got the shots. Not fanatical but careful! I am so glad you get to see the deer and the "antelope" play! LOL They'll be taking over the house soon!!
What does the dog think of them so close by?! What a great picture they would make for a christmas card! Good to see you today!

Teel~ Had a fight with Cooking Light on the telly. Told them if they cannot get the magazine here in one piece to cancel. This one is in shreds and not worth posting to you. They are supposed to send another one! I forgot why I don't get magazines anymore!! Shredded Wheat!

Well tomorrow is food shop and Monday is a Mall with a great bookstore. I hope to go to both. Had a ride for an hour today and it wasn't too cold. 59*. it's the wind that ruins it. Like riding a motorcycle without a helmet! My face freezes! I need to go and lie down and watch some TV so see you all tomorrow or Saturday. Jen and Rich may come for dinner and a movie tomorrow nite. Take care and sweet dreams!

A really miserable day! Raning and cold. So I never got to food shop. Just couldn't bring myself to go! LOL Still sorting and cleaning and painted a base coat on the coffee cans for Xmas..... 6 down and 6 to go. Jen and Richie went car shopping with his dad.
Been quiet here. The groundbreaking for a new bldg down the street was today. I didn't go with the rain so they sent a plate of food up. Nothing fattening so I divided it into portions and stored it in the fridge. I won't have to cook today! Watching French Kiss with Meg Ryan for the 2nd time today! Morning all,
Started off a brilliant morning here in Melbourne. I have decided to get some shopping done today and maybe go somewhere tomorrow after the markets. Talk about that in a minute. However there I was striding up the road to get the Christmas pressie for DS1 and down came the rain. Lots of it. I fortunately had the umbrella. I've learned that much while I have been here!!! So after I have finished here, I am off to get some lunch and go to do a bigger shop up the road.


The markets tomorrow is a grrrrrr !@#$@$%$. Last Sunday I went up there and found some bits and pieces for DS2 including some of the keyrings he wanted me to get for him a while back and was told there was no more available. Anyway I found some last weekend and being a good mum rang and asked how many were necessary? He wants 10, I buy 9 (that's all they have). Should have checked them out then and there but nope, like a dope I take them home - 4 are the right ones, 5 are not. So dopey me has to go back tomorrow to try and find the stall again and change them. grrr!@#$%@#$
Been to the gym 4 times this week and am feeling better for it. Will do another 4 this week. And then as many as possible the last week of my stay. Only 14 days to go!!!!!!

Sorry to hear about Teel. If anyone is talking to her, pass on my love. I will try to get in touch during the week if possible. Linus - you really are a little gem. I may have to come visit and give you a big hug.

Job is moving along. I'm not sure what is going to happen with it and don't really care. I've done as much as I can and if I can't get the required information to finish things off - and the backlog of material to be QA'd is not getting tackled, then there is not much else I can do is there?

Stupid weather - now the sun has come out again. Can't get past the 4 seasons in one day down here.

They've had some rain up home as well. Lots of it - around 12 inches in 24 hours in some parts. They tell me it is very wet underfoot! Aaaah well we can do with it and at least it is meant to be the rainy season up there!

Haven't been taking many photos lately, but am hoping for a better weekend next weekend and I shall go out into the wilds of country Victoria and see what I can see. There's got to be a dry weekend sometime soon - right?

Anyway best go and read some entries. Hello to all. Forgive me for not mentioning you all by name, but if I read, I don't get time to post, so I post and then read whatever I can and comment when and if I get time. Catch you all.

Snow and sun!! What a morning! but the snow is magically disappearing! Maybe I can get out tomorrow?!?! The painters should be here soon and then I can get started painting the cans again. 12 have base coats and now I only need to paint on a snow scene or tree or something. It will come to me when I get the brush in my hand! going to try and have a good ON-PLAN
weekend! Feet have been too swollen during the afternoons still.

hi all just popped in to let you all know the latest from teel she called this morning and they have done chest x-rays and taken blood and have done one ecg and are going to do another they have her on oramorph and all the usual ones and she is still really breathless and very bloody sore she gave me the phone number for the ward that they can take the phone to her bed so if anyone wants it pm me and ill give it to you also if you have any messages ill pass them on right i have to go and tell her other thread so ill speak to you all later after i call teel

I wish they could get the bottom of the pain for her and get that resolved. Linus, how are you doing these days. Are you up and around a bit more? I do hope you are well and things have calmed down in your house hold. The holidays are approaching and that is stressful in itself.
Mel, you sound good, don't like to hear bout your legs swelling. Are you able to get good recovery after you are out of your chair? MEl, I swear I am never going to cook another pot of beans....what am I doing wrong...even after soaking them they just don't seem to cook up......

since I am not watching the boob tube I am renting some movies I am so behind in watching and have finished 3 books....So I feel good about that. Now I have to convinced myself to do more exercise in the evening after doing movement with people all day to do their exercises..... Is there any hope for me???
Mel, what are you painting the cans for.... decorate the tins then put goodies inside to deliver? I am knitting some scarves this year for gifts and so far that is going good. It is another beautiful day here and I am going to try to get some outside work done today. Hope everyone is able to smile today at some fine thing.
