Well, I'm right OP today w/calories, but chose to have a rest day instead of doing 30DS L2 like I planned...My thighs are killing me AND my left foot is sore?!?!? not sure why, but wanted to give everything a day to rest & hopefully recover!

WELCOME Jen & Lippy!!! Jen--are you wanting advice for WL or navigating this site?? I know when I found 3fc, it took me a while to figure out everything...i finally found the User CP (upper left corner in purple stripe) and the Subscribed Threads link bc I could never find the threads that I posted in to see if anyone responded...as for WL advice, find a calorie range for your ht/wt/age and then LOG EVERYTHING!! Either on paper or on a website like DailyPlate...I personally use the LoseIt! App on my iTouch...but I started w/just a small spiral binder...ALSO, start with small changes! you may get overwhelmed or frustrated if you try to change everything at once....AND DON'T GIVE UP IF YOU SCREW UP! We all have "bad" days where we go over, just acknowledge it and move on! YOU CAN DO THIS!! GOOD LUCK and don't hesitate to PM me if you have any questions

Ugh I'm still feeling like my Labor Day goal is completely unrealistic. i doubt I'll be able to lose that much weight by September 7th. I'm going to keep trying though, I just hate feeling like I'm setting myself up for disappointment.

Thank you for all the welcomes yesterday! I am down 2 pounds as of 9:15am. I know that some of that is "shock" to my body for not allowing myself to cave to the snacks! But it is still 2 pounds that will not come back!! Im feeling very good about this today!
My daughter told me she was proud of me last night for deciding to make a change so I can be around for a long time for my grandchildren!

I'm new to the 3FC and CC but certainly not new to dieting by counting calories. I still have a 1200 diet plan from a hospital cc group from 1980 (when I only needed to lose 20 lbs). I hope to be able to participate every day and provide support at the same time I receive support. I would like to join the Labor Day Challenge. My goal for Labor Day will be to lose 20 lbs. This might be a lofty goal but that's what I'm going to aim for.

Audrina, I am starting to think my goal of 170 is unrealistic also. But as long as I get close I'll be happy. It seems this month is just a constant back and forth. But we'll get there

Anexia, on the 3lbs, boy would I be ecstatic

JenSmith, on the 2lbs. That's motivation

SilverLife, thanks for the good thoughts for success today

Amelia, thanks. I think that is what I will do when I am done with the spiral notebook I'm using. Even though with the larger pages I am able to print stuff off and glue it inside for reference. Hmm ...maybe I can find a big journal

Westernsoutherngirl, back at cha'

Julie best of luck with your goals

Lori on breaking into the 140's to you and everyone.

Enjoy the remainder of your day Everybody!

Audrina--as long as your making progress towards your final goal, that's all that counts!! I used to set "unreasonable" goals and always felt disappointed, so I studied how my body was reacting to my new lifestyle and decided that it rarely loses more than 1lb/week, so now I set my challenge goals realistically and if I go over, then GREAT, if not, then I'm happy...others believe to be aggressive & set your goals high, but I always felt disappointment and almost discouraged! so do what works best for u! GOOD LUCK!! You're doing great!!!

anexia & jensmith---CONGRATS ON YOUR LOSSES!!! I'm jealous I won't know til Friday if i'm finally making progress!!! KEEP IT UP!!!

silverlife & westernsouthern---Hope your day is great too!!

Amelia--I totally know how you feel!! I've been good since Saturday AND SOOO WANTED TO STEP ON THAT SCALE TODAY! But I told myself not til Friday...it will be more motivation seeing a bigger jump than just a 0.2 or somethin!!! YOU ROCK!! Good Job Gettin back ON TRACK!

Jensmith--Your welcome!! I had been a yo-yo since 2004 and was at my highest in 08...I did WW on & off til mid 09, then switched to CC...and found 3FC in Sept. 09...The ppl on here are wonderful and very helpful!! I've said it plenty of times before, but if it weren't for the ppl here, I probably wouldn't be where I am today!! They help keep me accountable (except for the rare times I just say "Screw it! I'm eating that & NOT gonna exercise!---lucky for me, this has only happened 2-3times since Sept.) These challenges have also played a big part...I think it's setting the smaller goals that help keep me on track to my final goal!!!

Julie--WELCOME!! You've definitely come to the right place!! As you can read in my reply to JenSmith, these ppl are AWESOME!!! Stick around and we'll all lose this weight together!!!

Lori--OH MY GOLLY! YOU'RE IN THE 140s!! That's great!!! I forget if you've said before, but what types of moves are you doing for toning???

AS FOR ME, my foot is better, but the legs were just slightly sore...BUT I still did 30DS L2...and yes, I still hate it! but it's not as bad this time around bc I know I don't have to do L2 for 10 days in row! I'm enjoying doing each level on alternating days! OP calorie wise...having grilled chicken & baked butternut squash for dinner! MMmm!!

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK EVERYONE!!! We're gonna get through this!!! WE CAN DO IT!!!

Lori- Congrads to you! All your hard work is paying off.

I'm down to 105.7, lost 1.8 lbs as of this morning. I was shocked, I weighed more yesterday for no reason and all of a sudden I drop down to my goal! Ok, now to try to stay in the 105 or 106 range is gonna be challenge it itself. I had a little more calories today(1410 cal.), now watch me gain again anyway. My daughter now won't eat the ice cream she wanted cause I didn't get the flavor she wanted(they were out of it) Now I'm stuck eating it, I eat 2 servings a day to try and get rid of it and I would love to just throw it away, but food costs money, I would feel so bad if I did that, plus it tastes really good. I'm afraid one of these days I'll just keep eating it til it's gone, then I'll gain big time!

So, I'm freaking out here. Today I weighed in at 263, 9 lbs higher than last week. I had 7 beers on Saturday at a party, otherwise I have been ON PLAN totally. I've also been drinking a TON of water since the heat is brutal at times. I've been at 1600 calories and it's driving me nuts that this is happening. I'm nearing the end of my TOM, but I've never gained 9 lbs before.

I had a doctor's appt on Monday, she's doing blood work, so we'll see. She thinks it's weird too. I'm freaking out here.
