  • Susieyarb - Thanks for asking! New scale this morning showed down 5.6 since the demise of the old scale. So not sure about accuracy between the old and new but I like the new one!!!! Not counting this as an official weigh-in since tat will be Friday but just calibrating the new scale per scale directions.
I know all this doesn't match my ticker but I refuse to update my ticker because I went up and down and refuse to update ticker until I get below 160!!! So today at 164.4! Yay!
Went to yoga yesterday with my twins (fun) and walked 40 minutes. Today planning a 1 hour plus walk later!

Have a great rest of your day everybody!
  • Quote: Love2b150 - I trust the scales were good to you this morning!!! Thanks for the compliment. I love them because they don't require much.
My scale is not my friend, it truly does not like me. I was up .4 this morning 182.4. I have Bible Study tonight so no walking. I did do 30 minutes of a work out dvd and then played dance dance revolution with my son for about 45 minutes. I could only do it on beginner, I'm not coordinated enough to do basic ... way too many steps for me, LOL. I have had my hair braided only 3 times that I can remember. It doesn't last long for me. I have to wash my hair everyday and about two weeks in the braids start to slide out and even though I know how to put them back in I just get mad and get the scissors .
  • David, you're doing great on the challenge! Wow, 6 pounds already!

Shylah: glad to see you! What is your schedule for trying on the TSP's? Every week; every two?? I can't wait to see a pic of you in them!
  • (Not checking for errors ~I always have them please ignore~LOL)
farn~I fell 2 times Within 2 days ~Once off my bedroom stairs first time ever~in 3 & 1/2 years & Off the end of my bed next moring getting dressed also first time ever ~I did go to the doctor To make sure I wasn't having an ear infection Or something or hurt yesterday during my checkup I He checked me.~he said I was fine just adjusting to my new weight so I was clumsy~LOL ~just a bunch of scrapes & bruises and pain.
OUCH OUCH & MORE OUCH ~feeling better just still can not do my leg lifts which is important for my tummy but hurt my back to much....I figure another 3 to 4 days of healing then I will try it again.

~Went to the obgyn today & he wants me to get my uterus removed~(I know david CLOSE YOUR EYES IF U DON"T WANNA READ~its a girl thang)
Anyways~He Says its dropped really bad & is just 2 inches up~so he was concerned and wanted me to have it removed ~nothing else just it~no ovaries or tubes or anything.~Whats anyones thoughts on that subject?
Me & my hubby thought it would be fine~I no longer wanna have children ~my tubes have been tied for nearly 10 years.
I have 3 wonderful kids & Just dream of them getting older & giving us grandkids so Any thoughts he told me to take my time & think about it~He says it is why I am having horrible preiods & pain during the wild thang with the hubby!Anyone else been through this? I know its not to do with weight loss~But need advice~cause my mother is an a$$ And A nurse & I know she will not give me any advie at all even though she could & Really I have noone else other than the hubby & y'all that I do trust~SO Please all advice Is welcome.
HUGS ~off to walk~I need to do 45 more minutes then My day is done as far as that goes~I hit 1400 calories on the dot today~So thats great.

CONGRADS BY THE WAY TO THOSE HAVING SCALE VICTORIES~I have been super busy with dr. appointments & My kids so Sorry I aint been posting long post or much.~HUGS*
  • Well... good news and bad news on the knee. Good news is the x-ray was clean so no bone damage. Bad news is there's probably cartilage damage in the knee and the pain in my quadricep is probably from something in my lower back that may or may not be a pinched nerve. Pbbt. So I have super-duper-strength anti-inflammatories (think Aleve on steroids!), I will have an MRI once insurance pre-approves it, I can't run until further notice (can walk and swim but watch for pain) and I got a cortisone (steroid) shot INTO MY KNEE. Don't even get me started on how much fun that was. So hard cardio and heavy lifting for the lower body are off limits until at least the MRI where the doctor will ascertain the damage and we'll go from there. Hoping it can be healed with physical therapy, rest, and drugs instead of surgery, but whatever the doctor recommends that will leave me pain free, I'll go with.

Lori - if that were me, I would get a second opinion (it's a major thing to be considering) and then go ahead if the second doctor also recommended the surgery. If you are done with kids - which you are if you've had the tubes tied - and this would help you have less pain and discomfort, I don't see why you wouldn't do it. I would ask specifically about the after-effects, though I would assume that if the ovaries remain, there wouldn't be any issues with hormones or the lack thereof. But I would ask about that - other than the removal of pain, what else can I expect if you do this surgery? Never hurts to ask a ton of questions for something medical!
  • Lori, If your periods are painful , and you don't want anymore kids, than I would do it. If it were me, I would. I had my tubes tied 15 yrs. ago, so I understand where your coming from. I have not had my period for 6 mo., don't know why either. I have no insurance, so I can't afford to get checked. I have been under so much stress w/ my family all in their 80's and my mom w/ dementia that lives with us. My life just started falling apart around November of last year, that's when my periods got out of whack. I'm hoping that's what it is. Sorry for the rant!

As for me, I had 1345 cal. today, it was hard to stay that low. This is my first day at sticking w/ my diet after I ate way too much for the past two days. I kinda got used to eating more and the scale proved that this morning. Now it will take time to lose all this water weight, I feel like I'm blown up with water everywhere. Way too much water retention! About 4lbs of it!
  • Woo Hoo! I finally broke out of the 184's! Who'd think a one pound range would take SO long to get through!?? I was 182.1 this morning. Whew, I'm glad that's over.

Not much time right now for online, I'll be back later for personals.

    Y'all have a great day!!

ETA: I realized I'm now less than 10 pounds away from my original goal!!
  • Good Morning everyone!!!
I'm so tired. I didn't get to sleep until late and then up early to get everyone out the house. I plan to workout during my lunch break. The way my body feels I will see by lunch. I really want to work out though.

Lori - If you trust your doctor I would sit with him and your husband for a long discussion. Write down all your questions before you all meet so you don't forget and take lots of notes. After that, if you feel comfortable go ahead with it. My sister had one and she's doing well. She kept her ovaries and whatnot. She worked out alot and she had a quick recovery. One thing, I will add to that is after the surgery (should you decide to go with it) DO EXACTLY WHAT THE DOCTOR TELLS YOU TO DO DURING RECOVERY!!! It'll be hard but it's the best way to heal properly.
Susie - Congrats!!! I'm looking forward to getting down there where you are.
  • Alright, I've been bad about checking in- must get more disciplined!

Jiggle- Sorry to hear that! Some light exercise might help put a pep in your step, though! Hope you feel better and get some energy as well as some much needed rest.

Susie- YAY! Congrats! I just came off of a plateau too- the best feeling!

Fruitlady- Keep up the good work! That water weight is so pesky.

Jules- Sorry to hear about your injury. Hopefully it will heal up okay and you'll be running again in no time. Hey, at least you can still swim! Swimming is such a great low impact exercise. Maybe you could take up a water aerobics class? I took one in college and it was a lot of fun.

Lori- Ouch! I hope you heal up fast. As far as the uterus removal goes, it always helps to have a second opinion. It's a BIG decision- make sure you weigh all the pros and cons. It sounds like you're in the right mindset for it. I wish you all the best with it, whatever your decision may be!

Love2b- No matter what the scale says, feel proud that you're trying your hardest and the results will come! Ha, I've tried DDR before...disaster. I ended up sitting on the floor and hitting the arrows with my hands, lol!

Western- Sounds like you're doing great! Woo-hoo for the new scale! My old scale has a difference of about 7 pounds- lighter, that is. So occasionally I'll break it out to flatter myself, haha! Glad to hear it's working out well.

David- Congrats on the 6 pounds! You're doing fantastic.

Farn- Great to see you and your progress! And a very happy birthday as well!

Everyone else I missed: Keep it up!

Today has had a good start. I woke up and hour earlier (though initially I didn't want to get out of bed!) and had my coffee and exercised. I feel so energetic right now! It's great to be getting back into the exercise routine. I feel so great, I don't know how I slack off.

I got on the scale this morning and was down a pound to 131 after my little plateau- even though it's just a pound, it feels so good to know I'm moving in the right direction again. I've really got to start working on toning again- I did upper body sculpting this morning.

I'm eating a yogurt right now and hope to be 100% on plan. My vacation starts tomorrow- woo! And my brother flies in on Saturday. We've got a lot of activities planned in the short time he'll be here (which is even shorter thanks to a jack-*** billionaire) so I'll have no time to be vegging out like crazy, thankfully.

Off to really get my day in gear! Hope everyone has a good one!
  • Susie- grats on the loss yay! It's good to get off a sticky number. Right now I'm not going to think of trying on the TSP's until August 1st. With my schedule the next two weeks, I won't be home enough to even think about them / work hard as I have. I will try them on weekly in August.
  • Susie, I broke my plateau also down 1.4lbs so happy, Adios to the plateau

Jiggle, I hope your energy level comes back. Whew I have been there more times than a few. Maybe just do a light workout, or who knows you might have more energy when you're done

Corinne thanks (laughing) that made my day. I'm gonna give it a go today also, it is fun and funny at the same time. Gonna even try the wii, I have got to keep the scale moving

Well everyone have a great on plan day
  • Hi - Just dropping in to wish everybody congrats on their successes so far and wishing you a good day!
