Hello, Ladies! I actually did remember to weigh yesterday..but never got the chance to come here and post. I gained a pound. I am not discouraged.....yet. I will give it another week and see what happens. I think I need to be a bit more vigilant to the low fat idea. Other than that, I don't think I am doing any bad eating. Or even too much. My appetite is just not as voracious as it used to be. Most of my cravings are gone too.

I have the glaze kiln cracked and will go down in about an hour and unload it. I peeked inside, and the top shelf looks ok. Its hard to tell until you pull the stuff out and handle it and see the bottoms.

SOLLY: Why don't you try a vegan diet? You can eat gluten so it would be easy. Its really not that hard! And you can fix a pot full of a dish and have leftovers for another meal. Seriously...a salad with garbanzo beans, or chili, or hummus..or wrap the mashed beans in a tortilla, topped with lettuce, tomatoes, etc. .... I did Atkins, and honestly, I think it screwed up my metabolism. Research is showing that intracellular fat causes insulin resistance, which leads to diabetes, so be careful of the fats. Anyway, don't hesitate to go for the sleep study. Its a pain for one night...and if you are not sleeping well, and you use a cpap, the difference is amazing. I was waking up four and five times a night and going potty. Come to find out, that is not normal!!! Now I might wake up briefly at 4, but I go right back to sleep. I am slowly feeling more energetic, and rested. I am just worried I waited too long to go for the study. Tom nagged me for years, and if your oxygen levels drop too much at night, brain cells can die. Supposedly the first to go are those that control blood pressure from the spikes the apneas cause. Not sure if the ones I lost will ever be replaced. My O2 levels were very very low at night...like 70's instead of high 90's. My blood pressure has improved a little, but not as significantly as I had hoped.

TONI: You are sweet to say I should write a cookbook. As far as I know, there is only one vegan gluten free one out..so maybe there is a need.

MERCEE: What an inspiration you are! I love your attitude about just keeping on and results will follow! I think that is key to be successful. In the past, I would get discouraged, and then fall off the wagon for a few days, then try and get back on track. I need to get back to walking on the days I am not swimming. Once we get the pool opened, I will be able to swim every day.

COUNTRY: Good for you shooting! I need to. It would be good for my upper body muscles...especially my shoulders and back. Guess I will go looking for my stuff as soon as I get passed the next week and all the stuff I have to do! I have an order for cookies on sticks!

Good morning ladies. That goodness it is Friday. We have a busy weekend ahead. I have to go to Lexington for my great niece's birthday tomorrow and can only stay a short time as we have a graduation party at 6:00 and we are keeping the baby since it is my DD's anniversary. Not sure of our plans for Mother's day yet. I am sure it will involve eating out or me grilling out. My oldest usually plans it but this is her first Mother's day also so I don't feel like she should have to fool with it.

We have to start looking for a car. My lease is out in June and I am not sure I want to lease again and I don't know what we can afford. Nothing worse than car shopping, maybe insurance shopping.

Toni, your breakfast sounds yummy. Hope you enjoy your Mother's Day. Is your son still in Iraq?

Ellen, I actually think most people have sleep apenea if they snore. But I don't think mine is that bad. I guess I will go to thye consult and see from there. I'm not sure what you can't eat on a vegan diet other than meat. What about fish? I can't wait for the pool season either. I am more than ready for it. Have a great Mother's day.

Crystle, a Happy Mother's Day to you also. I am counting my blessings for sure. I have been blessed with wonderful children and a beautiful grandson.

Mercee, I can't seem to remember if you have children, but if not, have a happy Mothers Day just b/c you are a special woman and such an inspiration.

Oh, I did make it to the gym last night and then walked for 30 minutes with the dog. I can hardly get up and down today. My rear is so sore from the squats and lunges.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Default Hey Hey....((hugzzz))

Happy Mother's Day ladies. I have been crazy busy visiting my family this week. We have really enjoyed catching up and even made some bibles study time last night. I feel so full and so blessed. The fullness besides joy may be all the goodies we've had together. I'm up a couple of pounds but I'll get back on track after this weekend.

((Everybody))

Love and hugs,
Crystle

DH got me up early and we went out to breakfast. That was so fun. Eating wasn't that great but it was my choice so I'll deal with it. We're going out for Chinese on Mother's Day. Enough said. LOL

Solly- You're doing good with the exercise. Sounds like a busy week end for you. Enjoy your Mother's Day.

Crystle- I'm with you I'll deal with it after this week end is over. Hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day.

Ellen- That's good about your appetite is better, I've noticed that in me too. Bet you'll have a good Mother's Day. Enjoy your day.

Mercee- Enjoy Mother's Day. Hope you're doing fine.

I should be in bed, but I have a large cookie order for Tuesday and remembered after I got in bed I had to refrigerate the dough, so I got back up and mixed it up. Then I got to thinking....

SOLLY: Don't you have RLS? That is another symptom of sleep apnea. I only get it now when I don't sleep well, which is not very often - in fact, I had it Friday night after I could not fall asleep and only got 5 hours of sleep, but that is the first time since I got the cpap machine that I have had it. Something to think about...

I had a nice day. Tom made me breakfast in bed, a nice mug of espresso, he warmed up the leftovers from last night's meal (Indian stuff we had with friends) for lunch, and cleaned the kitchen. My one daughter text messaged me, the other called and my son called tonight. It was a nice quiet day.

Tomorrow will be crazy busy, and I will stay that way until Thursday morning, so if I am not around until then, I apologize in advance!!

Hope everyonehad a wonderful Mother's Day. The girls and I ran errands all day. We went to breakfast after church. Later in the evening we went to dinner.

I have something every nght this week. It is going to be busy and non stop. I know I won't make it to the gym unless I can get up at 5:00 and go which hasn't been happening. There won't even be time for evening walks. I believe theya re calling for a lot of rain this week so I probably don't have to worry about walking outside anyway. We have a rehearsal dinner which are helping work on Thursday and then a wedding on Friday and 3 graduation parties on Sat. Plus we will be keeping the baby Sat night.

Ellen, yes, I have RLS. It has been better lately but some nights it is horrible. Hope your cookies turn out wonderful, which I am sure they will.

Crystle, glad you had a nice weekend with your family. That's what it's all about.

Toni, Sounds likeyour DJ pampered you all weekend. How nice. I hear you are supposed to e getting bad storms today. I hope it is not close to you.

Well, I have better get going. All the men hear are moody today. Makes for such a pleasant work place. I have lots to do today. Have a great day.

Good morning ladies!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day! I had the busiest weekend of my life I think. Friday after work, I had to go with my husband to his graduation reception and Staurday was his graduation and a dinner party I gave for him afterwards.( He received his second Masters Degree) Sunday I got some wonderful gifts and cards. I was to tired to go for dinner so we went for breakfast after church, I am going for my dinner next Sunday. I was to tired to wait for 2 hours at my favorite resturant.

I can't wait to walk his evening after work I need to relieve this stress. Walking really calms me and makes me feel refreshed.

Solly- Try not to overdo it even though you will be busy. Please take care of yourself. Sometimes as women we just go and go and go.I am glad you enjoyed your day yesterday.

Ellen- Sounds like you had a great day yesterday.

Toni- I hope you enjoyed your lunch with your hubby.

Crystle- Glad you enjoyed your family.

Well I'm outts here Have a great day everyone.

Hi eveyone. I had a horrible night sleeping and on top of it all we had a storm. So I slept in this morning. I'm still having a nice cup of morning coffee that DH made. Mother's Day was so nice. I ate from the buffet so it wasn't legal eating. Also stopped and got a nice big tomato plant at the garden center. That makes me three tomatoes in containers so I'm all set along with my herb plants. This rain will make them all happy.

Ellen- My goodness what a busy week you have going for you. So good you had a nice peaceful Mother's Day. My kids all called too.

Solly- Well I hate to say but we're getting lots of rain. Its just pouring now. Wow are you going to be busy too. Hope you get a little break in between. But it is fun to have lots to do. Sorry the men are moody. That makes it so uncomfortable.

Mercee-Congrads to your husband on getting his second Master Degree. Get that walk in..... May try for my treadmill today.

Crystle- Where are you? Did you have a good week end?

Well with everyone so busy its hard to think about your weight. But be sure and take a little you time.

Good morning ladies.

Anyone take Cymbalta? I started it yesterday and boy am I nausus. Don't ko if it is that or the potassium but I wouldn't think that would make me sick. I normally have an iron stomach and nothing bothers it. I was a little quesey on Sunday before I started it, so maybe I have some type of bug. I really wanted it to work for my neuropathies so I could get off the Lyrica. I think I will try taking it at bedtime tonight to see if that helps.

I did get about a 1/2 mile walk last night. Before we left I took the dog for a short walk. Better than nothing. Tonight we hae to meet with the leasing agent on my car. Still don't know what we will do.

Toni, I heard you had some bad storms your way. It is raining here today and cool. I am so ready for warm weather and no rain. I didn't sleep well last night either. Actually I slept well, just took me forever to go to sleep.

Mercee, Congratulations to your DH. That is a nice accomplishment. My oldest has 2 masters. I keep wanting her to get her doctorette but she says it won't bring here more money so she is done.

Crystle, don't make me come looking for you on FB.

Ellen, How did your cookies turn out?

Got to run, we have a presentation on Friday and of course, no one is working on it yet. URGH!!! So frustrating. Have a great day

Morning! Just a quick fly by. The cookies are done and packed up. They turned out pretty cute, I think. The real test is how the lady who ordered them likes them.

Today is non stop - deliver the cookies, go to the doctor, head back to where I delivered the cookies for the open house ( 20 miles away in traffic, I might add). I need to pack up a few pieces of my work for the open house tonight, and mix up marzipan. I feel so unprepared!

Solly-Hope you are not comimg down with anything. Great job getting your walk in last night.

Ellen-I'm sure your cookies will be great for the lady who ordered them.

Have a great day everyone. I'll try to check in later.

Crystle- I'm so sad you don't have time to post. I will miss you so much. Hope you keep up on facebook. Life has a funny way of getting right in the middle of everything.

Mercee- Glad you got your walk in. You should have a good weight loss this week.

Ellen-Wish I could see the cookies. Bet the lady will be happy.

Solly-The storms missed us. Didn't Oklahoma get it bad? Can't wait for BL tonight. I hope its not the meds causing you to have a queasy tummy.

Good morning ladies, I am down 1 lb this weeki. I thought it would be more. we are never satisifed.

Crystle, squeeze us in when you can. We will miss your wonderful posts.

Ellen, I'm sure the cookies are great and the lady will love them.

Toni, I am boring today too. It is raining cats and dogs and every other animial right now. I'm still queasy today, but not as much. I took it going to bed thinking that would help. I got up at 2:30 to go to the bathroom and then I could not go back to sleep. Don't know if it was med or not.

Off to get some work done. Have a great day.
