Just a quickie as it is time to go home.

A slow day to catch up on things.

Ellen, even though I don't like much meat, I am not ready to give it up totally. I really don't like veggies either (haha). Enjoy your class tonight.

Mercee, enjoy your time off.

Toni, I would dread eating lunch all week if I had to eat something I didn't like. It is going to be beautiful here too.

Crystle, sounds like you have a produce market growing at your house.

Time to run, check in tomorrow.

Biggest Loser was good but that darn woman got back on that I don't like. I think her name is Melissa. I love the idea of making your meals for the week at one time. How nice that would be. Probably won't be on tomorrow. Going out for the day.

Default Ohhhh *smile*

Just got in from a wonderful walk a few minutes ago. A friend chatted with me on the phone so 38 minutes passed in no time. And talk about beautiful outside, the wisteria is in bloom, the redbuds and numerous tiny little wild flowers. You can't help but feel good outside with all that and the sun warming your face. My tooth started hurting but I came in and took a couple of Advil. I really try not to take pain medicine if I can help it. Last night I had no choice. Next week the offending tooth will be gone. Other than snacking I haven't really eaten today so I'm thinking of making something for dinner.

Email Tip:
Oat What A Feeling
There's oatmeal that's loaded with additives and preservatives...and then there's the real deal. The experts encourage you to start your morning off with a bowl of plain oat flakes. Oats are rich in fiber and soluble fiber, making them a much-needed staple in your diet. According to the American Cancer Society, oats have plenty to offer. Reduce your risk of cancer. Lower cholesterol. Slow down the digestion of starches. Prevent heart disease. Boost your intake of Vitamin E, iron, magnesium, zinc, selenium and more. To add some flavor to your oatmeal, add milk and cinnamon or a handful of fresh fruit.

Solly and Toni...as soon as you take the missing water pill you'll be way down. ((hugzz)).

Ellen...Sorry about that ornery medical supply company. You would think you would get what's ordered and not what they feel like.

Mercee...enjoy your time off.

((Everybody))

God bless,
Crystle

Just ate a big ole nice salad. Had a big lunch so thought I should be careful tonight. My feet and legs are swollen so keeping them up.

Crystle- good for you on the walking. Stuff is starting to bloom here but not as much as your place. I'm sorry about your tooth. It hurts my mouth just thinking about it.

Off to finish my nice hot tea....

Good morning ladies. Just got in from the pain doc. Thought I was getting an epidural but instead he gave me 3 pain shots in the old behind. I have been having trouble walking, so he thinks it is the muscles more than the back, we will see. The back of my thighs are killing me when I walk or reach. I think he was stumped and opted to try something different. I didn't want to have to sit in a car for 4 hours in pain. I hope it helps.

Toni, hope you see better results when you get that water pill. I lost 2 of the four. If your legs are swollen, it has to be water.

Crystle, if you don't have a walking buddy, a phome buddy works great too. Your walk sounded beautiful. The trees are blooming here and the grass has "greened" up nicely. It is actually starting to look like spring. finally. Hope that toothache holds off until you can get it fixed.

Don't know if I will have time to get on tomorrow. I am only working a half day as we are leaving for Gatlinburg around 3:00 and I have decided to stay until Monday with my DD and SIL. My younges has a class on Monday mornings so she and my DH will come back Sunday night. Just another day to spend with my GS. Just in case, Easter blessings to each of you. Hopefully Easter will bring us all a renewed hope.

Default Good morning

Howdy ya'll. Not sure what today holds but I'm slow getting started. We stayed up way to late again last night. Still drinking my first cup of coffee even though I've been up for a while.

Solly...praying that you are able to ride and not be in pain. I hope the shots do the trick. Happy Easter.

Toni...doing so much better with the antibiotics. Thank you so much for your prayers on facebook. Hope you are having a good morning so far.

Ellen...Mercee...happy now...tech...((hugzz))

Try to sneak back later.

God bless,
Crystle

Good morning. Finishing up my last cup of coffee for the day and am going to make breakfast in a minute. We're going to have a wonderful hot day here today. I'm loving this weather. Guess I'll do wash and house stuff today.

Solly- Have a wonderful Easter trip with your family. And spoil that Grandbaby lots. Hope the pain goes away so you can ride better.

Crystle- Hope you have a wonderful day. Are you tracking points on Sparks people? I go there all the time but haven't used it to track my food.

I'm off to hunt for food....

Default Good afternoon

What a great day so far. Robert and Jess finished working on the porch and Zachary helped with part of the clean up. I walked for the third day in a row...go me..LOL The best part of the morning was when I went out to shoot my bow and arrow for the first time in a year or two, maybe longer. I was able to pull back the bow better than I ever have. I think it is the counter push ups that I do daily. They are really making my back and arms stronger. My goal is to one day do real push ups. I can do about five or ten almost push ups on the floor. Nothing to write home about, but one day.

Eating has been good because I haven't had much of an appetite. A blessing for sure. Yesterday I was munching on a cucumber and because I was chit chatting at the same time I ate almost the whole thing before I knew it. Good thing it wasn't chocolate.

I do have some planting I need to get done but there are some cabinets I need to rearrange first. My guys are giving me the look. They think I'm wacky because I do this about once or twice a year.

Daily email tip:
Be Pro Protein
Listen up carboholics! There's life beyond pasta and bread...and it could mean the difference between losing and gaining. Many people don't realize the importance of protein. However, protein is responsible for giving the metabolism a bigger boost than either carbs or fats. Consuming proteins like fish, chicken, eggs, milk, cheese and tofu enables the body to maintain and build muscle mass -- and the more muscle you have, the better your metabolism. Add some sort of lean protein to every meal to reap the benefits.

I read Joy Bauers Life diet book yesterday. It was really interesting because it reminded me of the first time I lost weight and a lot of the ways I ate then. The biggest being no carbs at the dinner meal. I think even with the healthy carbs I need to veggie load versus the whole wheat stuff.

Toni...WTG with the treadmill. I do a little points at Spark but not too much. The computer is too slow and I find myself sitting more than moving. I do the daily quiz and a poll and sign in. Sometimes I get my email points.

HappyNow...so sorry you are feeling poorly again. ((hugzz)) hang in there.

Ellen...are you staying very busy? How is your new diet going?

((Everybody))

God bless,
Crystle

Good morning. Was gone most of yesterday grocery shopping. I got lots of wonderful veggies. And am trying eggplant this month. I've been trying to cook different veggies that I haven't in the past. Last month was kale. I did find some nice organic things. Like bananas, broccoli and cauliflower. I got allot more ground turkey instead of beef this time. Got a call from some friends but more like family people yesterday with and invite for Easter dinner. So today going to make a couple things to bring for the meal. Don't know what yet. What are you all planning?

Crystle-I hope you're feeling better. Sounds like your men have been busy. I'm loving this warmer weather here. Even the rain showers we got last night.

Happy- Hope you're feeling better too.

Well better go cook breakfast. I can hear Steve's belly growling. LOL

The pollen has burst out in full force here and I am suffering worse than ever before with it. My lungs feel like they are on fire, I am congested, and my head just might explode! I can't stop though, so I seared the leg of lamb and put it in the marinade to take to my daughter's tomorrow, prepared baskets for the grandkids, and tomorrow morning I will throw the ham in the oven to bake while we are at church, then carry it up to my daughter's too. I have a long list of stuff to take, and I honestly have not given it much thought today since I feel crappy. I even took a two hour nap!

Happy Easter, Buster friends! I hope it is full of peace, and joy for you and yours.

I am heading to bed!

Oh, and tonight I caved a bit on the vegan part and ate a veggie pizza I made with a gluten free crust. It was good.... and I tried to be conservative with my portion, but I think I could have done better than I did.
