Hi Ladies! I'm still here! I haven't had access to a computer and I have two more days, today and tomorrow, of being super busy, morning to night, and I should be back to my regular schedule and back online! Staying OP but eating out every meal so I don't know how that's going to play out. Be back soon! Miss you all!

Well, sometimes, when we get rid of any kind of food our body has been eating, our gut flora can get out of balance. Sometimes, probiotics really help with the bloat but my rule is always go low and slow with the dose. Everytime I try them (and it is recommended for someone who has Hashimotos to "heal our gut" because that is where our immune system is), I get extreme anxiety so I've just nixed them but my daughter swears by them. You can always give it a try. Just use a high quality one.

I decided to post my meals every day so you guys can help me be accountable. I bake this egg casserole with spinach and bacon every Sunday night so I have five breakfasts to take to work (otherwise, I'll be standing in the breakfast taco line and eating potatoes with egg and refried beans and flour tortillas!). So, here's my food for the day:

Breakfast: 3X3 inch piece of the breakfast casserole and 1 diet Pepsi (my only one for the day).
No morning snack

Lunch: bowl of homemade zuppa Toscana soup (it has potatoes but I didn't have that many of them in the bowl (maybe 1/4 cup).

Afternoon snack: Probably a small amount of cottage cheese and pineapple

Dinner: Taco wraps (use leaf lettuce instead of a taco shell)

I also drink at least a gallon of decaffeinated tea sweetened with stevia and three bottles of water a day.

Happy Monday and Hello

Carol Sue, that's the only thing that I don't give to my husband because I know how some things may wreck havoc on others and I have to deal with that if I did. But I have bought generic things and put them inside the name brand container because he is a name brand person. And he never knew the difference but he also doesn't prepare his own meals other than the occasional sandwich. But the kids will say, "Daddy did you know Mommy bought xyz instead of abc?" so they don't know either I remember you talking about the jello before

LEELEE may I have the recipe and steps for the egg casserole, please ? Does it taste like eggs? I think I need to add pico de gallo to my eggs so I don't taste them

Jacqui miss you too

I put hot sauce on mine too!!!! Okay, it won't let me post a link because I don't have enough posts. If you go to Allrecipes dot com, and search for spinach, bacon and egg casserole, you'll find it.

I love it and I never get tired of it!

Evening ladies! Hope everyone is starting to shake off the winter blahs and getting for spring....I inow I'm trying, but this perimenopause crapola is starting to ruin a second week in a row.. Saturday before last was my day for TOM to start and I had cramps that set and th next....plus bloating and constipation the entire week. Now today the cramps return and worse bloating and constipation. Oh, and did I mention I'm 2-3 pounds up every day even though I think I'm actually more in the black (500+ cal deficit every day but Saturday) lately than ever before. This happened in December as well. I may have to change my usual May dr. appt to next week if things don't improve. (And I've been walking, stairs, and drinking enough water for a family of four).

Anyway, today's menu wasn't spectacular, but not awful....

Break - chorizo omelette
Snack - a nibble of almonds/dried berries
Lunch - bean/ham soup
Dinner - meatloaf, homemade hash browns w/onions and peppers cookied in butter/olive oil

I just googled my balance beam scale, and I don't want anyone thinking I paid that much for it!!! I would never pay $179 for a scale. LOL I know I've had it for about 20 years, and as I recall, it was $59.95. Even that was a lot back then, but I was still working then and if I wanted something I bought it. LOL Now I only buy things if I really NEED it!

oh Wanna even $179 is not high anymore with these prices going up and up constantly

----------happy tuesday all
no loss no gain, just waiting for my next drop.
one thing I love about zero carb, there is never ever a gain of any kind. I do not miss that yo yo junk from my old other dieting days.

2 big ribeyes with butter
have some pork chops to sub if wanted

off to run errands and usual work day.
sunny and warm. WEE. can't wait to open my pool and swim!

I think $179 is a lot of money to spend on a SCALE. LOL Especially when my weight is NOT noticeably improving. I would consider it a good investment if it was helping.

Prairie Queen, I'm sorry to hear you are having so many problems with perimenopause. As far as the weight, are you watching your sodium? It could be contributing to the bloating, and constipation could be contributing, too. Not enough fiber? I'm just mentioning things you could consider.....I don't really have the answer. I never have constipation, so I don't really know what to do about it, other than laxitives and stool softeners.

Hello ladies! Finally saw a 1lb loss this morning. I was getting a little frustrated. Have to travel for work the next couple of days, first time since starting LC. Will be interesting to see food choices!

Evening all! It was 77 degrees today in my part of Ohio.......fantastic

Carol Sue I think I may have inadvertently been getting more salt than I'm used to via the homemade bean/ham soup I've had for lunch three days running. I put 2x as much ham in as well as celery salt (no celery or seed on hand). And I had two Coke Zeroes Sunday. So after my restaurant food tonight I'm going to have to drink a swimming pool full of water to flush this stuff out. As for the other problem, I think it's just the normal pms type symptoms....nothing requiring Smooth Moves tea yet

Break - sausage McMuffin
Lunch - bean/ham soup
Snack - dried berries/almond mix
Dinner - grilled wings, onion straws, lite beer

Edited to add: cran water, two carrots, warm lemon water in an effort to flush the salt

Tomorrow, I'm set for organic breakfast burrito and meatloaf patty for lunch.

LOL Wanna, I hear you on that scale. if it was dropping a ton of lbs. and you saw that, then you would say it was the best money ever spent.
I know. my scale isn't moving right now but with summer coming I will be eating less. Just cause I will be out of the house and not near the kitchen as much

------------hi everyone, I hope the day is a good one for all.

I think everyone here knows how my DH is such a big carb lover. Mainly potatoes of all kinds and lots of baked goods. LOTS! Well, this morning they had a segment on the news that a high carbohydrate diet contributes to cancer. He asked me what carbohydrates were and I told him. He knows I avoid carbs. I didn't want him to be upset so I told him that his carbs never make him gain weight, but he said "Yeah, well, I don't want to get cancer!" I wonder if he will cut back on his carbs now? He recently started eating grilled salmon with me and that shocked the heck out of me! I always used to cook something else for him on the days that I made salmon, now he loves it, and actually had me buy more in the grocery store this morning. My DH is not one to change like this! LOL
