Carmen- Why don't you mention the cramping to the yoga instructor...she surely would have some answers......I still don't think cramping is normal or a good thing like soreness is......Good for you for going back - bite the dog that bit you right?

Yog-ilates today - 50 minutes. My legs feel so much better after having worked them out! Spoke to the instructor about the cramping in my feet, and she said that when I feel that coming on that I should break posture, and stretch.

Worked up a MAJOR sweat today, plus I can really feel the tension in my abs and arms (where I really need it the most). My dad and DH are Navy men but... OOH RAH!

Missed Yoga today due to work issues. I do plan to get down there and hit the elliptical though, which I probably need more than the yoga at this point. I can go down there in a half hour, then do my thing, get showered and back up here with enough time to wrap things up at work and still catch my bus!

Mary, yes I've seen that breathing space yoga show. That lady has the most relaxing voice. Now I finally know where the phrase "WOOOO SAAAAAAH" comes from !

EWWW that laughin' punkin shore is freaky.

Okay so...30 mins on the elliptical at the fitness center. I tried the "hills" program...BRUTAL! But I did burn 380 some cals. I almost quit about 1 million bazillion times, but I did feel so good after completing it. What I feel right now is a cross between exhilaration and exhaustion, with exhilaration barely winning out. I thought the more you worked out the easier it was supposed to get?

Carmen - That is true, but it takes awhile. On the other hand, you don't want it to be too easy....You want to feel like your really working... YOU go girl - you ROCK!!!!

Tonight is my last night for Jazzercise until after my recovery. It just so happens that I am paid thru October 27. I will renew when my doctor says I can exercise again, hopefully not more thank six (yuck) weeks..........
Now I have to figure out how to not gain weight while recovering......I hope I just won't be hungry since I won't be doing anything physical......(cross my fingers)

I had meetings yesterday afternoon, and could not workout after work because DS is selling popcorn for Cub Scouts and I had to go on "collection rounds". Today, I forgot my T shirt and extra undies. I am thinking about going down into the mall to buy a new T shirt and some undies. I REALLY need the undies anyway, but don't want to buy them at Lane Bryant ($$$), PLUS when I get the undies I will want the matching bra ($$$$$$$$$$$$$$$). I'm funny that way, it seems my underwear cost more than my clothes. TMI I know and downright strange to boot. That being said, I have a lunch meeting, after which I will try to sneak down into the mall to get the things I need, and then I will try to get to the FC today at 4:00, after my last meeting of the day. I will miss Yog-ilates, but I can hit the elliptical.

I will not have problems such as forgetting my workout stuff once I earn my locker at the FC. Once you have a locker, they will wash and dry your workout clothes for you, which is GRREAT! In order to earn your locker, you have to visit the center at least 10X per month, for 2 consecutive months. I was short 2 visits in September, but I have made goal for October. Now to get November out of the way.

Sorry so long...probably should have put all this in my journal.

Default Swimming and Water Retention?

Hi Fit Chicks. Does anyone here know if swimming and sauna's will ultimately lead to water retention? It would seem that the sauna would reduce water in the body, but I've noticed that every week when I get home from the rec center that I am bloated.

P.S. Star - I miss you already, Girlfriend...

OMG the Exercise Yard has slipped to page 2! Star would be appalled!

Well Star girlfriend, never fear... I went to the FC today and looked at the elliptical, and my lungs said H3LL no. So I opted for the treadmill, put in 45 minutes on it, and JOGGED for 8 of them. JOGGED! I have never done that in my adult life. Granted, they weren't all in a row, but I did it. I'd walk for 4 minutes, jog for 1. Walk for 5 mins, jog for 2 etc. I'm beat but...so proud of myself.

Yogilates - 45 minutes - the class was tough, but not ridiculously so. I thought it was great!
