Hi Chicks!! Here is the July Exercise Challenge thread! Come sign up! We are happy to have newcomers, former monthly exercisers, and our "regulars"! ALL are welcome!! We have a sister thread--the July Weight Loss Challenge http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=175508 --and you can post any weight loss goals that you may have there and your exercise goals here! So feel free to join in! There is no wrong way to set goals! Here, just state an exercise goal(s) that you want to accomplish for July and then work toward it, posting your progress along the way! I'll be keeping a list of everyone's goals and at the end of the month, as you meet them, I'll turn them red and mark them with MET GOAL!! Woohoo! We're all very supportive of each other here, so we'll cheer you on when you are doing well and help you along if you are struggling! So, c'mon now! Let's start anew for the month of July!
Okay, so my July exercise goals are to follow the government's recommendation for healthy exercise, which is 150 minutes of moderate exercise per week or 75 minutes of vigorous exercise per week AND strength-training twice a week. That equals out to 30 minutes of moderate exercise (like fast walking) or 15 minutes of vigorous exercise (like doing the elliptical) 5 days a week and then strength training twice a week. I've been trying to find a good balance, and I think this might work! Of course, if I end up wanting to do more, I always can!
