I wish I had a Nike +. You're right- I only have a few more days of intervals and then I don't have to worry about it anymore.

Outside! I like to feel like I'm going somewhere and the time seems to pass more quickly.

I just wanted to say congrats and doesn't it feel good?
THANK YOU!!!!!! And yes, it feels great.

So glad to hear so many good news from everyone!!
ninepaw, Congratulations on your success!!! you have inspired me this wonderful morning . It's awesome that you were able to complete program in such a short period of time. WTG!!

rochester, thx for the advice on the sports bra. I am not using one at the moment, I have small breast and so far it hasn't been a problem, but I seriously considering getting one just to keep the "girls" in place and I would think that having support should be good for our overall health and posture during our runs...

bacos and envelope, I am a little behind you now, we had family visiting this last week so that along with the storms we are getting every afternoon got in the way. In any case, I plan on finishing w3d3 tonight and start w4 on Wednesday... It gives me hope that you guys are handling it so well!!

I wish you all a wonderful week!

Congrats on completing the program, Rochester! And congrats to everyone else who is moving along in the program.

@jormicfir, I do C25K on the treadmill because I'm in Houston and it's super hot and humid (even at 6 in the morn!) and I have a young son with no childcare. I also put the treadmill on an incline (2.0). Sometimes I wish I could run outside though.

I redid half of W4D1 today. Halfway through I got intensely bored. So I walked and did sprints during the chorus of songs. I really don't know what I'm going to do. I like the way running makes me feel but it's so boring. When I go to the gym, CNN, MSNBC and the Kardashian stuff is on, so I can't use TV as a distraction. Music is only helping so much. Ugh.

Caribbean Girl - Life gets in the way sometimes. I am a bit worried about that happening to me on a regular basis when my classes start back up in the Fall.

This afternoon I decided that instead of dreading doing W4D1 I would just get it over with. It went pretty well except somehow I forgot to stretch before hand...which became obvious in the first 3 min jog, so I stopped and stretched then started up again. I huffed and puffed my way through the 5 min both times, but I finished it.

Hi guys, just to follow up on my post earlier today, I finished Week 3 but decided that I will continue doing week 3 for the rest of the week because I found myself very tired at the end of the 2nd 3-min run today.

Finished Wk 6 today and was able to comfortably do 2.4 miles in the 25 mins. Committed and paid the fees for two 5K's Sept. 12 and Thanksgiving day.

W4D2 went much better today...I have no idea how I managed to forget to stretch yesterday! Well I suppose it could have had something to do with the kids arguing, getting them packed up and ready to go, but still.

Completed Week 4 Day ...6? I think I've done Week 4 for two weeks now so I guess I should be moving on to Week 5, huh? It still feels pretty rough getting through that last 5 minute run though... hmmmm. Maybe just one more day of W4?

Well, tonight was full of fail. Week 6 Day 2, and I didn't finish... My Plantar Fasciitis seems to be coming back in my left foot, I felt the start of shin splints on my right leg.. have a random pain in my left calf and had a stitch in my side I couldn't shake.

I only made 5 minutes of my second 10 minute run. I'll try again on Thursday.

Hey ladies! I've had an awesome time reading through this whole thread- this is my 32432084903284209843 time starting C25K, but danged if I'm not going to finish it this time! Life always got in the way- trips, houseguests, conferences, blah blah blah. I finally have 12 WEEKS with NOTHING on the calendar! (Stoked about that for many reasons, haha!) I am going to DO THIS!!! Getting back into working out after being a total bum for 10 months (granted those 10 months included moving to a new city and starting a new job, but still!)... so ready to lose these last 60lbs or so!

Did Week 1-Day 1 on Monday. Thought I was GOING. TO. DIE. Skipped the next to last run. The good news is, I thought the intervals were only 30 seconds, but they were a minute! Didn't even realize it. (I was using a podcast, not timing myself!) I mapped out a 5K route, so I'm walking the full distance even after the C25K training is over. Finished the whole route in 50 minutes.

Did Week 1-Day 2 this morning... it was GREAT!!! I did all the runs. Didn't feel like I was going to die this time! Does your cardiovascular system really adapt that quickly???? Or was I just doing something weird the first time out??? I still don't see how I'm going to be running for 20 minutes straight in a month! LOL!

So glad I found this group! YAY for US!!!

(I'm still on a bit of a high, can you tell??? )

miss scarlett, yes, i can tell you have the exercise high lol. But that's a good thing! Good job on deciding to do C25K again! I don't think the cardiovascular system adapts that quickly. Maybe on D1 you were a little nervous/anxious and that affected your run??? I know I get like that sometimes when I'm starting a new week. Glad to hear day 2 was better. I know you'll rock day 3!

I did Week 4, day whatever (I've been on week four for ages) today. I finished it with no problems. I'm afraid but I know it's time for me to move to week 5. I'll finish out this week with week 4 and then give week 5 a try next week.

Today I did what will hopefully be my last day of W4. It didn't go well. First, I have a horrible toothache so the bouncing didn't make it any better. Then (and I guess this is a NSV), my pants kept falling down and I had to keep pulling them up. If that's not enough, in the middle of my second 3 minute run, I tried to turn up the volume on my MP3 player and it skipped to the next song. I use a podcast so I had to restart the podcast and try to find where I was at before. I just said forget it. Instead I did running intervals on my own (speed intervals). Ugh. I hope next week is better.

Welcome new people who have popped in! "D Doesn't matter how far along you are, you're definitely welcome to come in here and start getting and giving support!

Pink Sparkle, sounds like you just had an, "Anything that can go wrong, will," sort of day. Don't let it keep you down, just jump back in and I'm sure you'll be fine. Maybe pick up some new pants, though.

Yesterday I ran completely of my own accord, nothing to do with the program(Other than using the app, just because it has an option for just a normal 30 minute run). I felt great! Definitely a different kinf of feeling when you're out there more for yourself than obligation to do the program, I think. Or maybe I'm nuts!
