  • Can't wait to do W1D3 tomorrow.
  • Omgggg you guys I totally abandoned this thread and my C25K goals! Aahhhhhhh! I am doing W1D3 today and I am *determined* to bust into W2. I seem to never make it past W1. I am making a promise to myself to come here on Monday and post that I finished W2D1!
  • Everyone is doing so awesome! I love reading this thread!

Tomorrow morning is W6D3 for me. 2 1/4 miles, no walking. (I started doing distance instead of time in W5.)

There's a 5K race on the same day I will be doing W9D3, and I think I'm going to sign up to have my graduation run be in an official race. Sounds fun!

Diana, what are your plans after C25K? Have you looked into other running programs?
  • I'm thinking about redoing the program to work on speed, using my current pace for the walking intervals and going faster in the runs! Seems like a decent enough plan to me. My first 5K is going to be in September, and after that... Who knows!
  • W6D3. 2 1/4 miles with no walking. Time: 29.48. Pace: 13.06

    Easy? No! Awesome? YES!

I can't believe next week is three runs of 2 1/2 miles!
  • Life got in the way and I didn't get past W4D1, my Dad has now passed away, my mother died in May. It's been a rough few weeks but I need to kick back in gear, going to see if I can get through W4D1 again..if not I may do W3 over. II am going to get back to my Sunday night D1 after the grandboys go home with my kids...
  • W4Day2 today! I completed it outside, which is always harder on my body because its cement and part of the path I use feels slightly angled which can't be good.

Anyway, everything went find despite starting out already feeling really tired. During the last 5 minute run my brain kept telling my body how tired I was, but then something happened to me and I was suddenly sprinting the last couple minutes of the run. Crazy! Now I'm paying for that by hobbling around and icing my hips though.

I'll be doing 2 more days of Week 4 during my vacation in Wisconsin next week.

Keep up the good work ladies!
  • Anyone have trouble with Week 5? I will do day 2 of Week 5 tomorrow and then on Day 3 it shoots up to a full 20 min run without a walking break! I wonder why such a big increase??
  • W1D3 done today!! Can't wait to start Week 2.
  • @Jeanies - I think we all looked at W5D3 and said, "What the crap? 20 minutes? Are you kidding?!?" I've found, though, that running without intervals is actually easier. It has something to do with the lactic acid building up in your legs when you slow down, and that causes fatigue and pain (or something like that). You can do it...you really can!

@Laura - Hooray for the sprinting, boo for the pain!

@Diana - I think I'm going to do Hal Higdon's 5K plan after C25K. It looks like a good transition from C25K and someone I know who ran the Boston Marathon recommended his programs.

@Jules - So sorry for your losses.
  • Hello everybody, nice to see you are doing so well. It was a busy week for me but I managed to finish Week 2 and should start Week 3 tomorrow. I am little scared about the 2 3-min parts of the run but I'll give a try...
    Wish me luck!!

  • I was worried about being able to do it but I moved up to W2D1. I was pushing myself, but I did it!
  • Hey ladies. So I attempted c25k back in Jan/Feb and got sidelined at the end of week 4 with some killer knee pain. I've tried to resume a few times since and had the knee pain return. Last Friday I got up early and decided to try W1D1 and didn't have any problems. So I'm going to give it another go, and hopefully make it all the way through this time. I'm planning to run before work MWF starting with a repeat of W1D1 tomorrow. Wish me luck!
  • well I wimped out and just did W3D1 again...but I did do it...just gotta get back in the swing of it!!
