Well even though I started this yesterday I went and did it again today. I have had this cramp in my calf for a few weeks now and it just won't go away. Friggen hurts too.

Anyhow, I feel great that I did it, I guess boot camp has gotten me much more fit than I imagined because it's not really much of a struggle. I'm looking forward to starting the week 2 program when it's time.

Completed Week 3 for the fourth time yesterday. I think I'm ready for Week 4! Looking forward to that tomorrow... 5 minute runs! Whoa!

Congrats, LauraLoooo! I'm quite sure you'll have no problems with W4. I was also nervous about the 5 minute runs.

I did W4D2 today. No problems. However, my only issue is finding something to think about/do while running. I run on the treadmill at the gym and the "long" run seems so long and boring.

I can't. I have a 5-year-old and no babysitter. Plus, I'm in Houston and it's super hot (heat index today is 105, I believe). I wouldn't make it through the first 10 minutes before getting overheated. People would be wondering about the lump laying on the side of the street gasping for air. LOL.

Hello all,

I am starting C25K today...Im going to attempt to do it outside. Im really excited. I hope this program works the way it should. I plan on running my first 5k by the end of september. I have one small problem and i wonder if any of you feel the same way, every time i attempt to run i feel like i have to poop(pass a bowel movement) which usually causes me to stop running....does this happened to anyone else?

I am going thru C25K for the 2nd time, finished in January, then for personal reasons, was not able to focus on me for a while. Resumed a few weeks back trying to better my speed and just did W6D2 today, so a 25 minute run in my Friday future!

Pink, If you have an ipod, got some good music or an audiobook on it (I get them free from the library) then you have something else to focus on.

It sounds like it might be Runner's Trots. Yes, it's really called that. You can read about it here. I first heard about it in another article that I am NOT going to post the link to. I'll just say this...marathoners do some disgusting things in order to get their best time.

Did W2D1 yesterday. After a couple of days off (had to take my daughter all over the county getting her seen by various doctors because she broke her arm on Sunday. Oy.). It was ROUGH yesterday, but I did it.

Way to go everyone! Glad to see you all kept rolling right along while I was off on vacation! I myself kept up with my C25K stuff, with the exception of yesterday, when my mom and I were just eager to drive the rest of the way home, so we skipped it. Considering I haven't missed a single day so far in this program, I'm not about to beat myself up over it. So Friday is W8D3(Technically D2 for me, but whatever!) And next week is W9!!!! I can't believe it's already here! I was talking to my mom about how I might go back through the program to work on my speed, and she thought that was a pretty cool idea. The work is never over!

Completed Week 4 Day 1 today! Those 5 minute runs weren't as bad I thought they might be.... but I DEFINITELY felt the burn on that last 5 minute run. I was huffing and puffing and really sweating. But that's the way a workout should be! I'm probably going to do Week 4 for about 2 weeks just because these 5 minute runs are quite difficult.

Next week I'll be doing C25K on hilly roads in Wisconsin while I'm on vacation and I'm used to running on an indoor, air conditioned track. That should be interesting!

W8D3 done!I feel totally awesome, and I can't believe that next week is the home stretch!!! What kind of craziness is this!? I am still so amazed at how well this program works. I remember starting and thinking, "Riiiiight. Like I'll ever REALLY be able to run for 30 minutes straight..."

Next week, I WILL!!! And that is an AMAZING feeling, truly. I have so much to be proud of myself for right now... I've been working on my weight for a little over three months now. I've lost about 30 pounds, I'm to a point where I can run for 30 minutes... I'm just feeling so GOOD! I've never felt much like I had a whole lot to be proud of, but right now... I'm on top of the world!
