Go to a running store (not a sporting goods store). They will do an analysis and recommend the best shoe for your foot and running style. A great runner for one person might be dreadful for you, so you need to find YOUR perfect shoe.

I miss everyone! It's wonderful to have graduated C25K but I feel so alone in my little running world now. Good luck to all...and keep running!

I completed w1d2 this morning. Left my house at 6:25, ran, showered, got dressed and put on make-up and was out the door by 7:30 and even with construction, I STILL made it into y office at 7:55. I'm here at 8:05 on a good day. Hahaha! I also packed my lunch and breakfast before I ran, so it's been a productive morning. :-)

The one "bad" thing is my ear buds broke and I've had to use the ones that came w/ my iPod and they kept popping out b/c they're too big for my ears. Gonna run out at lunch and buy a pair of buds.

Sounds like running gave you a great start this am! Awesome!

I wanted to run really bad last night, but took the night off. Did some cleaning instead. Once my little ones are in bed tonight, I'm running again! I forgot how addictive this can be once you actually start, and I'm still only in the first week!

NICE! Your mornings sound just like mine! Speaking of ear phones, my ears are wierd too and I never use my Ipod when I run because they always come out. Are ear buds the best thing you can get for running?

Because it would be absolutely horrible for you to keep posting here, right? Nobody ever keeps posting after they finish C25K just for the company, right!?

See me posting here? I finished the program. I'm still here!

'Caurse I've been an aweful kid and haven't run at all this week. UGH. School started Tuesday and just screwed me up in the head or somethin'!

I finished w1d2 this morning.
I felt great, and had a great morning start.
I wasn't in the mood for running this morning, but I'm glad I finished it.

Hi everyone....I'm new around here but I want to try this C25K! I was up to about 20 min. running straight ( only done it a few times) but my legs were killing me! Maybe I should do this 3 x's a week and the rest just walk.....what do you all think?

I know it's recommended to take a day off in between runs but I am going to the beach at the lake this weekend and Sunday AM on the beach would be a great time to run. Sunday is supposed to be my off day and I'll start W2 on Monday. Would I be doing myself wrong if I started W2 the day after I completed W1?

peaches I love ear buds! The fit right into your ear unlike the disc ones that are supposed to fit in and never do and i hate the way spongy ear phones get all sweaty when you run. Haha!

Thanks for the info on the ear buds! Will definitely have to get myself a pair.

Did W1D3 this morning. Slighted a little though as I slept through my alarm so only had 20 minutes to run :-(. Will step it up again Sunday. Just have to get used to getting up earlier!! The snooze button is NOT an option :-)

I also love hearing from C25K graduates. At this point I am still skeptical that I will be able to run for more than 2 minutes straight, let alone a 5k!

I use Coby Neckband Earphones.

Other products I've heard recommended include:

Skull Candy sports buds

Philips Earclip headphones
AKG 316
JVC Marshmallow
Sennheiser PMX 680
Sony Fontopia

I did W1D3 last night, but doubled the intervals again. I tried to push myself speed-wise a bit, and ran hard (or as hard as I can in my kitchen) for the first 4 runs, then went at my regular pace for 4, then alternated on the next set-one hard, one regular. It was rough, but I still did it, so I feel good. I was sweating buckets by the end of my workout though! I think that I may do one more day of W1 on Saturday, and then move on to W2 so it's easier to keep track of my weeks.

Please, grads, give me your wisdom! I love to hear from those who have not only finished the program, but also kept on running afterwards. I'm already thinking about bigger and better things once this is done.

See, Rochester? The girls like us here. We're proof that this insanity IS possible!

I got my butt out there this morning and after a week off, I did a nice 30 minute run! Hooray! I was actually surprised it wasn't harder on me considering the time off... But hey, I'll take it! I'm hoping next week I'll hop back into my normal M/W/F running schedule... PLUS, since I started school, I'm doing a step aerobics class on T/Th! I may be crazy for wanting to try to keep up with all of this... But hey, I'll take healthier and crazy any day over where I've been!
