Default ...what's really scary!

Hi my name is Lisa and I want to join the Halloween challenge. I'm still thinking about what my goal will be. I wanted to share with all of you something I read recently. I'm sure most of you have seen the little plug for the book Does This Clutter Make My Butt Look Faton the bottom of this website. Well I read it and one of the first things the author wants you to do is videotape yourself doing jumping jacks NAKED!!! Now that is truly scary!

I don't even want to see myself do that in the mirror, there FOR SURE will never be evidence on video of me doing any such thing.

However, something like that really would probably get my butt in gear, or destroy me for life, whichever.

Lisa - You've been added to the roster! First week of weigh ins is 9/6-9/16 - and will be posted on the 13th. Please let me know your goal weight ASAP! (otherwise we're using a standard #8 - 1 per week!)

As for naked jumping jacks I would DIE!!! I hate the feeling of my fat belly bouncing up and down when I do them clothed - to see them while naked would push me over the edge!!!!

I'm an insane thread leader - and I have BIG plans for this one! Stay motivated - keep posting - check back OFTEN!!!

Hey VivienStarlust ... that avatar is from Amadeaus, right? I love that movie! (Tho it's been YEARS since I saw it.)

Hi to everyone I haven't mentioned by name! There have been so many posts since I last posted. Wow! I can see I'm gonna have to stay on top of this thread!

After another horrible day yesterday I'm off to a good start today. I ate a trigger food yesterday that really did a number on me! Binged all day long. Temporary damage ... 1 pound up. *sigh* Gonna work it hard till my official weigh in ... which I will do on Friday (time enough to get me back down to 187).

Alright, I just counted up the weeks until Halloween and I guess I will go with the standard 1# per week for my goal. This should put me below 200 and I would be very happy with that. Friday will be my weigh in day, now back to those naked jumping jacks!

Thanks Pat, but I guess the signature isn't available until you've been a member for at least 20 days. That's ok, I'm tracking things on my own until then. I can be patient!

Welcome Lisa43! How was that book? I'm just finishing "Confessions of a Carb Queen" which I saw rec'd on this site. It's pretty interesting. It's not a "how to" book, although it does include some recipes. Still, it was really interesting to follow this woman's journey from bodybuilder to 486 lb recluse and back again. And the author is brutally honest about everything from her binges and family issues to her sex life. (Be warned, the descriptions of some of her binges left my mouth watering!) I was thinking of asking if anyone wanted to read it after I'm done. I'd be happy to send it to anyone, with the condition that once you're done reading it, you send it on to someone else who's interested. Let me know if there are any takers (but PM your address, don't post it!). Rita

Eny ...do I need to weigh in today...I'm confused! Maybe we need a list of weigh in days....like this week weigh in by...and this week weigh in by....

just in case...i weighed today and I'm up 2 lbs to 238 but I know it is thanks to TOM and do not want to change my goal or anything like that

Sorry for being difficult...just wanted this cleared up for me and anyone else who may be confused..

Oh I love Amadeaus too! But the avatar is actually Kirsten Dunst as Marie Antoinette in the movie, "Marie Antoinette."

I didn't think the movie was even close to being as great as Amadeaus, personally. But it was one of the prettiest movies to watch that I've seen in a long time...candy for the eyes.

If friday is your weigh in day - the you're first weigh in is the 12th. If your weigh in is Saturday - then your first weigh in is tomorrow.

Eny~I have a question. Monday is our first official day to weigh in for TBL challenge. OK I want to keep things sweet and simple~I get ditzy. I need one weigh in day for both challenges so I am not going or or or over when to weigh in for what challenge. What or how are you going to do this? I need suggestions. pick whatever day you want Pat. If doing them all on Monday helps you out - then by ALL MEANS do them all on Monday! Just make sure you PM me your weigh in.

I'm thinking I'm changing all of mine to Fridays - for TBL you can weigh in 9/7-9/13 and the teams are posted on the 14th. So i'll weigh in and post for that one on the 12th.

I need to find a cute TBL sticker for my signature - when I find one I'll tell all you feloow TBLers and give you the code if you want

That's funny, it looks like a scene right out of Amadeaus with the big blonde hair and all! lol Haven't seen Marie Antoinette. I'd forgotton all about that movie.

Can I still join? at present I am looking for a good reason not to go dig into the jar or nutella in the cupboard, but overall I want to lose my last 10 lbs or so and need a kick in the butt!
